Trump lies again

Trump bragged that the gathering in Washington D.C. for his inauguration was the largest in history, 2 photos taken from the top of the Washington monument shows less people there than a picture taken when Obama was
elected. I'm sure Trump will say the picture was rigged. studecar professor

Why is crowd size so important to Trump?

Is it because he realizes the power of peer-pressure? It would be in his favor to have people on his side unconditionally. Kinda like when he was doing his rallies...people would do anything for the guy. If people sitting at home believes he has record people following him, it would be easier for others to join.

Is he planning on pushing through some reckless stuff and needs the support of his "followers?"

Anyway....weird he is so concerned with crowd size.

Just some speculation here.

Please feel free to post a whistle-blower quote.

i dont believe in good guys versus bad guys anymore… only a plethora of states acting in self interest… with varying ethics and moral standards of course, but self-interest nonetheless
i mean, we’re better in some respects… we’re much more subtle… use a lot more words and legal techniques to legitimize everything

Its better than disappearing in the middle of the night

Where Are You Politically?

Church and politics. I avoid them both religiously. Unfortunately, I can no more separate myself from politics than humans can separate themselves from nature.
It's just not possible.

It's up to me to do what I can to find out what is really going on. The internet helps, but as you may have noticed, there is much untruth on the web.

I needed a simple device to help me orient myself in a confusing blizzard of contradictory information. Taking inspiration from modern physics, I sought clarity through higher dimensionality.

The traditional political spectrum is a one dimensional line, and apparently has had a "Left" and a "Right" since the French Revolution (Post-royalty, the conservative elements, clergy and surviving nobility, sat to the right of the President while the more reactionary citizens, you and me, sat to the left.

Here I drew the spectrum using contemporary terminology. I leave you to decide where along the line that you are proud to be.

If you grasp the 2 ends of the line and bend the line into a circle, you now have a two dimensional representation.

Now where are you proud to be?

If you look at politics in the west in general and the US in particular, the extreme left does not really exist anymore. It has been effectively lopped off thanks to the Cold War.
No such pruning has been done on the right, a circumstance that is most evident in the American 2-party system. Much to the dismay of the Republican party, there is only one place for the right wing nutters to go and that is the Republican party.

Even though I don't pay much attention, I still feel that I'm being bombarded with badness. Loss of freedoms, falling standard of living, enemies on all sides and within. It's like a combination of Joseph McCarthy and Weapons of Mass Destruction.

Farewell...

Obama's farewell address to look back on career in activism
Gregory Korte , USA TODAY Published 6:34 p.m. ET Jan. 10, 2017 | Updated 2 hours ago

WASHINGTON — President Obama's farewell address in Chicago on Tuesday night will be part autobiography, part valedictory and part exhortation for Americans to work together to solve the nations' problems.

Excerpts of the speech released by the White House show that Obama will connect his time in office with his roots as a community organizer in Chicago.

“I first came to Chicago when I was in my early twenties, still trying to figure out who I was; still searching for a purpose to my life," he will say in his address at the McCormick Place convention center on the south side of Chicago's downtown.

"It was in neighborhoods not far from here where I began working with church groups in the shadows of closed steel mills. It was on these streets where I witnessed the power of faith, and the quiet dignity of working people in the face of struggle and loss. This is where I learned that change only happens when ordinary people get involved, get engaged, and come together to demand it.”

“After eight years as your president, I still believe that. And it’s not just my belief. It’s the beating heart of our American idea — our bold experiment in self-government.”

Obama will also borrow heavily from Thomas Jefferson, whose Declaration of Independence has inspired many of Obama's major speeches.

The American experiment was founded on "the conviction that we are all created equal, endowed by our Creator with certain unalienable rights, among them life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness,” Obama will say. “It’s the insistence that these rights, while self-evident, have never been self-executing; that we, the people, through the instrument of our democracy, can form a more perfect union.”

“This is the great gift our founders gave us. The freedom to chase our individual dreams through our sweat, toil, and imagination — and the imperative to strive together as well, to achieve a greater good.”

On the way to Chicago. White House press secretary Josh Earnest told reporters on Air Force One that Obama is “not one to be overly sentimental,” but it would be unrealistic for anyone in his position tonight not to feel some nostalgia.

The speech will not address Obama's post-presidential plans. "There will be a time and place” for Obama to speak at length about that, Earnest said.

It's Official: Trump is the 45th President of the United States of America

With Hawaii still to vote, Trump had 304 votes and Clinton had 224. It takes 270 Electoral College votes to win the presidency. Texas put Trump over the top, despite two Republican electors casting protest votes.

This is from ABC News, just published right now.

For all of those who voted and supported Trump like myself, we can finally put this election to rest and move on.

For the losers, better luck next time. But definitely not a chance for Hillary Clinton as her loss is historic in the history of the United States and perhaps the world being the first woman to run twice for the same position and lost.

What happens if China refuses to return the navy drone they stole?

This is interesting.

What's ahead between China and the US as a result of stealing the US Navy drone.

First it was located 56 miles west of the Philippine's bay which is an International water.

Second what's possible implications can possibly affect the two countries' relationship?

Anyone?

Note: China had been building massive military post in disputed waters and now this.
