The left is out of ideas. Leftists have absolutely no grounds for opposing the nomination of Judge Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court. Yet they do, and with a passion. Attempting to politicize the nomination as a right-left matter hasn't worked. So now they're stooping to dirty, filthy tricks.

They cooked up an amazing string of them in their Kavanaugh hearing antics, held in the Senate yesterday. The bottom line in all of them was that they are frauds.

Exhibit A: The scream-fest in the chambers from leftist crazies that most of us heard about.

According to this editorial report in today's Investor's Business Daily:

In the first 40 minutes of Judge Brett Kavanaugh's Supreme Court nomination hearing, Democrats interrupted the Senate Judiciary Committee proceedings 44 times. That's to say nothing of the protesters who alternately shrieked and cheered.

It was all well planned.

"Democrats plotted coordinated protest strategy over the holiday weekend and all agreed to disrupt and protest the hearing, sources tell me," NBC News' Kasie Hunt tweeted Tuesday morning.

Cripes, they're so comfortable with this fraudy garbage that they can't even keep it a secret.

Then there is this stunt their trolls in the social media community seemingly spontaneously pulled on a young court clerk named Zina Bash, who was seated directly behind Judge Kavanaugh. Exhibit B, according to Heavy.com:

At one point during the hearing, Bash's fingers appeared to be positioned in the "OK" sign. Some white supremacists, members of the alt-right and the so-called alt-lite, along with other Trump supporters, have adopted the "OK" symbol as a way to troll people on the left. It began on 4chan as a "troll effort," but has become more popular, with many people making the symbol in an effort to "own the libs," according to the Anti-Defamation League. As a result, many have started to believe some usage of the symbol is a signifier of white supremacy or racism. And that led prominent members of the "Resistance" and others on the left to accuse her of using a "white power" symbol.

Actually, it was just her hand resting on her arm that drew so much entrails-reading from the rabid left in its bid to Get Kavanaugh. Bash, whose family is Mexican and full of Holocaust-survivors, most certainly wasn't making some "white supremacist" hand signal and didn't even know about this secret handshake of a chimerical fringe group, which leftists, by contrast, seem to be intimately familiar with. Her dad defended her on Twitter and called it nonsense.

But the fraud was out there, even if exposed.

Exhibit C, the third fraud, is the grossest. It's pure swamp slime, and redolent of former FBI deputy director Andrew McCabe's sneaky bid to entrap Reince Priebus into some bad press, definitely the sort of game the swamp things just do naturally. According to Conservative Treehouse:

‘Sleeper’ case could torpedo Mueller report

It might even keep the special counsel from sending a report to Congress, shaking Democrats’ hopes that such a document could provide the impetus for impeachment proceedings.

A little-noticed court case stemming from the apparent murder of a Columbia University professor six decades ago could keep special counsel Robert Mueller from publishing any information about the Trump campaign and Russia that he obtains through a Washington grand jury.

The substance of the case is entirely unrelated to Mueller’s investigation into whether any of President Donald Trump’s associates aided Russia’s efforts to intervene in the 2016 election.

But if a Washington appeals court set to hear the murder-related case next month sides with the Justice Department and rules that judges don’t have the freedom to release grand jury information that is usually kept secret, it could throw a monkey wrench into any plans Mueller has to issue a public report on his probe’s findings, lawyers following the issue said.

And it might even keep the special counsel from sending a report to Congress, shaking Democrats’ hopes that such a document could provide the impetus for impeachment proceedings against the president.

“It is a sleeper case,” Harvard Law professor Alex Whiting said. “If the D.C. Circuit were to accept the Department of Justice’s arguments…that would have potentially enormous implications for the future of the information from the Mueller investigation. That could close out a path by which that information becomes public.”

There is a noticeable similarity between the religiously motivated posts here and a lot of the political ones. Both lots could be described as having a very conservative, right wing leaning, and both also seem to stretch plausibility to breaking point and beyond. The resemblance of these two groups to each other is so striking as to make it pretty evident that they are part and parcel of the same underlying movement. Either one is worrying enough but both together is alarming.

I don’t know if it is inevitable that an extreme Christian Fundamentalist is also automatically a disturbingly fanatical Republican but it is very difficult to deny a very strong connection between the two. Religious extremism has probably been around much longer than its political equivalent so it seems logical to think that the sickeningly familiar tactics of the political dogmatists have been appropriated from the religious ones. They are basically the same.

The main method of persuasion used by the followers of these sinister ideologies seems to be based on demonisation, with an emphasis on the awful consequences of not seeing things their way. The Christians have a ready made nemesis in Satan, but the Republicans have to keep recreating theirs in order to move along with the times, although they usually have several on the go at once. Obama has been described as the Antichrist and Hilary Clinton is, apparently, the personification of evil, itself.

Would anyone who is not already affiliated to the Christian, Republican, raving bigot faction actually contemplate joining them? It would be nice to think not but in reality there always seems to be a ready supply of witless minions looking for a cause to follow.

History does have a habit of going round in circles and one can only hope that, as the wheel turns, this worrying state of affairs will be replaced by something more palatable, I certainly hope so, and as soon as possible.

NEW YORK, NY—Thanks to a primary challenge from Cynthia Nixon, Governor Andrew Cuomo has apparently veered to the left in an attempt to not lose progressive support. Recently, he rebuked President Trump by stating that America “was never that great.” He later apologized for that remark since it implied America could be somewhat great, which he said it was “too awful to be true” because of “women not getting the same amount of pay as men or something.”



Cuomo followed that new statement up with a rally that consisted of his standing on stage with an American flag and a lighter. “You progressives are going to love this!” Cuomo said before lighting the flag and yelling, “Take that, you stupid country!” He then jumped up and down on the burning flag while shouting, “Look at me! I’m a left winger!” While there was some scattered applause, the crowd mainly reacted with quiet confusion and boos.

Cuomo seemed frustrated by the response and donned a black mask while saying, “I’m going to show you I’m progressive.” He then picked up a bat and started beating a random person in the crowd while shouting, “Take that, Nazi!” When someone told him to stop, he yelled, “You must be a Nazi too!” At that point, the rally quickly dispersed.

Undaunted, Cuomo has issued a press release stating that next week he’ll be part of a same-sex wedding ceremony in which he will marry an actor portraying Joseph Stalin.

Former CIA Officer and whistle blower Kevin Shipp says what Hillary Clinton did with her charity and Uranium One while she was Secretary of State was a crime for the history books.

Shipp explains, “Hillary Clinton used this to launder money in foreign banks so it wasn’t subject to U.S. laws, congressional subpoenas or FOIA demands for the evidence. This was done to launder this money globally into the Clinton Foundation so the U.S. government could not examine it at all.”

Special Prosecutor Robert Mueller was the head of the FBI while the Uranium One deal was being done by Clinton and the Russians. One fifth of U.S. uranium production was bought by the Russians in a deal Clinton pushed and approved. The Clinton Foundation received more than $140 million from some of the same Russian players who were involved with Uranium One. Why didn’t Mueller stop the deal? Shipp says,

“Mueller is either a complete moron, which he is not, or he overlooked the biggest counterterrorism cases in U.S. history. It involved Hillary Clinton, the Clinton Foundation, Uranium One and, of course, the destruction of all the emails and evidence and her secret server, and on and on and on it goes, and he (Mueller) ignored it all.”

How did she get away with obvious crime? Shipp says,

“The most bizarre thing is the people who protected her from clear felonious activity and violations of the Espionage Act. James Clapper, Director of National Intelligence, was protecting her and leaking things to the media and lying. You had John Brennan, Director of the CIA, protecting her by starting a false investigation (on Trump) and stirring things up with this (false/unverified) dossier. You had James Comey, Director of the FBI, protecting her...

Then, you’ve got Peter Strzok protecting her, and now it appears the United Kingdom GCHQ was using NSA information to target Donald Trump and protect Hillary Clinton. You have to ask yourself what kind of power or connections does this woman have to get all of these members of the Deep State, Shadow Government to risk their own criminal penalties to protect her and try to get her elected? That is the Shadow Government. That is the Deep State. That is what is so chilling about this whole thing...

This is deep. This is dark. This is as dark as it gets, and this is the biggest espionage case involving government officials in the history of this country.”

Hey people.
Since the earliest i can remember, i was always reading. Marvel Comics, illustrated books, Readers Digest and Arthur Mee's Children's Encyclopedia, apart from most pf the classics, all of Enyd Blyton's Famous Five and Agatha Christie's Poirot works.
But a great book which I kept going to over and over from early reading stage to late teenager was a well gnarled copy of Aesop's Fables and all the lessons learned from it.
However the most powerful story that eventually guided me through my life was Hans Christian Andersons's The Emperor's New Clothes.
It taught me to always say the truth !
Politicians the world over today badly need the morals of Aesop's Fables, and the lesson learned from Hans Christian Anderson's fashion inspired tale. Really.
