One of the greatest speeches I've ever heard, at a time when it is most needed

While there is still a hint of the stuttering issue that Biden used to have (to a greater extent),
it should be obvious, that there is no cognitive issues at all. That was an intentional misinterpretation.
Joe Biden is an experienced good public servant, who has care for fellow citizens and motivation to make things better on many fronts. He and his vice president are exactly who this country needs at this time
to unite and lead us out of the corrupt mess that the current lying "so-called" president has helped create. head banger

The Epitome of.... "be careful what you ask for"

Some have suggested that Mike Pence won't even show up for a debate with Kamala Harris.
Indeed, it would not surprise me at all, if he will by coincidence wink become sick on that day or the day before.
But, so far, Pence radiates confidence.

From USA Today last night;

"Lets get ready to rumble !" applause

Here's a preview;

If I were him, I wouldn't attempt to grab that.... feline.

Here it is, peebles....

...sniffy, creepy, likely impaired, real racist uncle Joe Biden, apparently has a fine intellectual substrate on which to layer cognitive impairment. Current thinking is that if one begins with lots of horse power, the dementias tend to progress more slowly.
Had to repeat grade 3, we are told, which was a lead in to C's and D's in much of college. And an "F", as in failure, in reserve officer training class (ROTC). How he got into a decent law school, like that of Syracuse University, is unclear, but he barely finished, well in the bottom 10% of the class. As with the last affirmative POTUS, (B Hussein), it would seem that Law School entrance exam scores, and other such data, are well guarded.
So it all makes sense now. His ridiculous positions and statements on foreign policy, economics, jurisprudence, and much more, while in the Senate, and as VP, seen in this perspective.
Elder abuse, placing him in this role as candidate. Which is why I suspect a sneaky plan to pull a switch as to who will lead the ticket soon.

We The Living

is not about a certain place or time....am going to quote the author herself Ayn Rand"We the Living is not a story about Soviet Russia in 1925. It is a story about Dictatorship , any dictatorship, anywhere, at any time..whether it be Soviet Russia, Nazi Germany, or-which this novel might do its share in helping to prevent-a socialist America." Unquote from book flap of the 75th anniv edition....Anyone else out there an Ayn Rand fan?wave

As my many fans know.....

those of the fagot fan ilk for sure, worshiping/checking carefully my every word here, I like to spend time among liberals, the more syndromic, intolerant, hate filled and deluded, the better. Of course, I do draw the line at their many violent infantile tantrumic looting-thrashing-fire brand "peaceful gatherings". My street fighting skills aren't what they used to be.
What types of Liberal venues? Meetings of the UU and Quaker religious traditions. Democratic Party local and State gatherings, and activist shops. Government school board meetings. Any tree hugger outing. Other of their many Vuck festivals.
Well, after I sold my last sailboat, I needed to sell the auxiliary outboard motor, as it was too big and I'm downsizing, to more coastal and bay craft. The fellow that bought it was an administrator at the counseling center at our local State Juniorversity, where our twins attended, for decent educations, and major doses of liberal biases, and rank intolerance of ideas. I drove up to see the place once more, and to deliver the engine, to be sure it fit into the aft motor well of his very yacht y Drascombe open topsides, drop board pocket yawl.
What a show. He and wifey live close to the school. Driving down their street, almost every home had a sign for "Black Lives Matter". He did as well, but also had one saying "no hate accepted here", and one saying 'Biden for President". And unkind intolerant words for Republicans.
Now, we have signs here, at the vast, VERY vast, Vierk Estate and manor. All saying "Biden for RESIDENT-of a care home", and the usual "Trump/Pence" banners. Along with "All, not just liberal, Black Lives Latter". On first arriving to see the motor run in my water tank, he said, on seeing the signs, "Oh, very interesting".
Singe I had to do business, when visiting his lavish home, in his lily white upscale neighborhood, I kept my political comments to a minimum, saying about HIS signage, VERY interesting. He paid my high asking price, as the engine fit like a glove..
But since these folks never miss a chance to signal virtue, by openly, loudly, endless dissing of the right, without first surveying the mood of where the hell they are, I make it a habit of responding to their rants, as I do here. My usual tight arguments presented at low volumes, so they have to strain in the back to hear. Nonplussed, almost always, these crowds seem. And if I stay long enough, the vulgarity and ad hominem rants usually follow. Usually friom the women, as they assume no one will ever slap them upside the head. Biology is destiny.
Are we having fun yet?

Trump drops ad minutes after Biden's announcement of Harris as his running mate

The ad is pretty much nails it! IMO

Who Kamala Devi Harris is.

This was the person I had hoped Biden would choose as his running mate.
I was told by someone on here, that it wouldn't happen. He backed Tulsi, who incidently did not even run in the primary in Hawaii.

Biden's selection of Harris not only indicates his current ability to choose wisely, but his ability to respect
people who go against him. Harris's debates with Biden were famous.

She has good intentions (unlike the horrendous "so-called" president we currently have) and she has pure fire in her belly. She is very motivated to make changes for the better, and not the type to take b.s. from anyone. What a shame she won't be the one prosecuting our current "so-called" president. If she wasn't getting VP, I had hoped Biden would have made her attorney general (AG).
She was AG in California for 6 years and is currently serving this nation as a US senator.

Last year she said;

During her presidential bid, she stated that, "I’m running to fight for Medicare for All, universal pre-K, debt-free college & more. To guarantee middle-class families a pay increase of up to $500/mo with the largest working-class tax cut in decades — paid for by reversing this Admin’s gifts to big corporations & the top 1%".

She has also stated "We have a president who believes in science fiction. I believe in science fact. Climate change is real and we're in the midst of a climate crisis. We need a #GreenNewDeal and as president, on day one, America will rejoin the Paris Agreement."

Kamala also said, "Health care should be a right for every American, not just a privilege for those who can afford it. Trump’s anti-immigrant agenda couldn’t be more clear. He has separated families. Locked children in cages. Sought to spend billions on his border wall, which is nothing more than a vanity project. That is not reflective of our values and it has to end."

We are here knowing that we are at an inflection point in the history of our world. We are at an inflection point in in the history of our nation. We are here because the American Dream and our American democracy are under attack and on the line like never before.
We are here at this moment in time because we must answer a fundamental question: Who are we? Who are we as Americans?
So, let’s answer that question. To the world. And each other. Right here. And, right now.
America, we are better than this.
When we have leaders who lie and bully and attack a free press and undermine our democratic institutions that’s not our America. When white supremacists march and murder in Charlottesville or massacre innocent worshipers at a Pittsburgh synagogue that’s not our America. When we have children in cages crying for their mothers and fathers, don't you dare call it border security, that’s a human rights abuse and that’s not our America. When we have leaders who attack public schools and vilify public school teachers that’s not our America. When bankers who crashed our economy get bonuses but workers who brought our country back can't even get a raise that’s not our America.
And when American families are barely living paycheck to paycheck, what is this administration’s response? Their response is to try to take away health care from millions of families. Their response is to give away a trillion dollars to the biggest corporations in this country. And their response is to blame immigrants as the source of all our problems.
And guys lets understand what is happening here: People in power are trying to convince us that the villain in our American story is each other. But that is not our story. That is not who we are. That’s not our America.
Our United States of America is not about us versus them. It’s about We the people!
And in this moment, we must all speak truth about what’s happening.
Seek truth, speak truth and fight for the truth.
