Pray without ceasing....

Prayer is the act of 'talking to God'. Even reciting a 'pre-set' prayer can equate to the same thing... sometimes. Unfortunately, not everyone understands or believes in the power of a simple "heart-to-heart" with God. Regardless of your purpose - expressing thanks, giving praise, making a request, venting one's fears/frustrations - one has to believe that God is listening, caring and willing to answer, if one wants the best results for one's effort.

1 Thessalonians 5:16 says to "..., pray without ceasing,...", as an encouragement to be persistent in one's talk with God. I believe that that persistence is not only supposed to strengthen one's appeal/praise to God, but also to keep one's mind fixed on one's purpose whilst waiting on God. It is not a mere chanting/repeating of words for the sake of doing so.

Yet, what about those who don't ascribe to this need to "pray without ceasing"? Will they be faulted? I don't think so (but I could be wrong). I just believe that, because 'God knows what I need before I even ask, or think it', there should be no need to "remind" Him all the time, but there's always a need to talk with Him (as one would his/her earthly father who he/she loves).

Just remember..."Prayer changes things", but only if you make use of it:)

THE APPEARANCE OF JESUS

According to the Bible story, Jesus first appeared on this planet as a baby. A hybrid birth of human and extra terrestrial conception. Why was he not fast tracked to adulthood so that he could start his preaching and miracles quickly, and spread his news to his audience? Nothing much is known of his life growing up, so appears to be a waste of time.
Alternatively, why not be introduced to the planet as an extra terrestrial adult and begin his magic then? He could have made up a story to explain his sudden appearance. After all, he was a performer of miracles.

Is it me, or now that politics here.....

...have undergone a bit of a vanilla transformation, (Allah be praised), now have the Christian Goddess-squaders, begun to come out of the woodwork? Don't get me wrong, we should all respect their views. And the rare one has always been here. And these few were not the more typical brow beating Bible thumpers, we now see more of. But a little Vierk an*l-ysis, might be in order.
Apart from the fact that the tedious evangelical proselytizing tends to come from one relatively small wing of Christanity, namely, the hot coal walking/snake handling, tent revival crowd,--- what gives, peebles?
This propaganda is valid, for believers. but so are the beliefs of dozens of other religious traditions. Yet only a tiny minority of traditions feel the need, and that's what it really is, to take the liberty to plaster it all over God's good earth. Sure, we hear from the over scrubbed pairs of White LDS robots knocking on doors world wide. And in the misogynistic religion of peace, a form of evangelical schtick sometimes comes out of the barrel of the gun. But when do we see Catholics (of all varieties), Jews, Buddhists, Hindus, and so many others, including Animists and Voodoo princesses, doing the same? But then, there were the Crusades---truly cautionary tales.
What can explain this? Well for starters, it is strident and compulsive behavior. Which often is multisourced. From the nuclear family, religious schooling, unconscious influences, and so on.
But of course, I have my own ideas on what really drives these decent, but often closed-minded, folks on their endlessly annoying life quests.
In each chapter of the memoirs, I begin with a quote. One of my favorites is from an old French saying.

She who is closest to the Church, is often farthest away from God. Who else gets it?

Believing in God saves you? From what?

Some people think that if you believe in a god then you are saved. What are you saved from I wonder? Perhaps it's better not to be saved and enjoy what you are doing. After all, who would want to exist in any possible after life and encounter people you hated in this current world.cheers

Prayer

"The Prayer" Beinsa Douno

"Many people ask if it is possible to live without praying. It is not. The prayer is an internal human necessity.
If the prayer becomes an internal necessity for you, you will pray naturally, without any force, without an external force. For you the prayer is as natural as feeding, breathing, feeling and thinking are.

Why should we pray? Paul the Apostle said once, “Be consistent in praying”, and Jesus said, “Be alert and pray”. The prayer is of threefold nature. It is equal to breathing. One should pray so that the soul to breathe and perceive things. The prayer is needful for the soul. It is the contemplation of the highest feelings. Through the prayer we see that a child is praying. It is an appeal and is as needful for the soul as breathing is. Humans need air much more than food. It is proven that a human may stay without air for 25 minutes at most and if we equalize the air with the prayer, which is food for the soul, we see that it is of great significance to it.

If people of today did not know how to pray, they would have lost even the little that they have preserved today. Everything good, everything great and beautiful, which is persevered by them, is thanks to the praying spirit that works in their souls. So, thanks to the prayer, though not so correct as it is in modern humanity, still something beautiful has remained and something new is being acquired. Thanks to the prayer, we become conduits of the sublime powers and noble means, on which the entire human race rests. The soul needs an internal spiritual food that can be provided only through a prayer. If one stops praying, life disappears. The prayer is a great thing. It is not expressed by chattering, by whispering of words. When you learn to pray, your life will become worth living.

The reason for our misfortunes is that we do not pray. Our contact with God brings inexhaustible riches. The Divine blessing and strengthening of the spirit come through it.

I would like you to pray constantly for you to be in contact with God. Only in this way, that influence from above will come to you. Then you will feel that Divine ennoblement and strengthening. Only when one prays, his body strengthens, as well as his feelings and his thoughts. One, who prays, cannot have a cruel heart. He can be delicate by structure, but his body is healthy, his thoughts are stable and his feelings - strong. It is not possible us to be in communion with God and be feeble.

If one’s prayer is pure, deep, it is always accepted. God does not make difference between souls. Jesus said to his disciples, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” Knowing that the Spirit of Jesus lives forever and has power and authority, do not be discouraged! You can always call upon Him and receive His help. Everyone has the power of Jesus in him. One just has to work on himself to develop that power. Once people develop that power in themselves, they will know what God is, what the Divine principle in humans is.

There is nothing, about which man has asked God and which hasn’t been fulfilled. And it happens just when it is needed.

One has to be bearer of Divine thoughts, must be convinced that every thought that he sends in the world is Divine and he must not think about the consequences. One must study the Word and practice praying and contemplation simultaneously. This is the path and one should not worry. Open your heart and soul. The light will penetrate there and the comprehension will come."

When people don't pray and awake Divine will, they shouldn't blame God for worldly events, wars, massacres , etc.nothing to do with God , also not a proof that God doesn't exist

my name is karma...

There is something more powerful than us. And that dear friend, is karma.

No person in the world can remain without a karma; it accompanies an individual like a shadow.

If bad things happen to good people in this life, it’s a reaction to bad things they did in a previous life. Similarly, if bad people are seen to enjoy a happy life, they are enjoying the karmic reactions of pious activities performed in a previous life.

Furthermore, karma works both collectively and individually. For instance, the explosive escalation in natural catastrophes happening on the planet in recent years, is the collective karmic reactions to the millions of animals murdered and tortured daily in the world’s slaughterhouses.

There are positive forces and negative forces that's how the world is balanced.when one increases other will rise to equalise it. God only sends great Teachers (Gurus) just to support the truth and positivity and to remove ignorance in the society. Also he only motivates individuals to rise and struggle for the rightness .

If you do good karma positive energy will cover you same as for negative energy. Again remember you think you are doing good karma dosen t mean that it is good. It may be good in your sight but in actual life it may be wrong so think 10. (at least).. times before doing any karma.

Even after leaving the physical body, the karmas go with the soul, and its rebirth is decided on the basis of karma.
Therefore be cautious in your thoughts, emotions, words and actions.
Every thought, feeling and deed results in a corresponding reaction.

Law OF karma.....
Newton’s third law of motion states that for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction, is equally true for our karmic accounts. Religious people say “as you sow so shall you reap” is very true for our karmas.
There is no escape to the consequences of our actions

We have freedom to choose our karma but we don't have any control on the result of the action.

let's say someone did you wrong. They double-crossed you, ditched you, deserted you, broke your trust, stole from you or something of that sort. What do you do? Do you go for revenge? Well, you could, but how would that make you any different from whoever did you wrong? You would end up doing the exact same thing that you hated them for. That's where karma comes into the picture.

If you believe in karma, you should know that whatever goes around comes around. When, where, how... these are not questions that can be answered immediately, and differ for every situation and circumstance. But you can rest assured that it will happen, eventually.
later. It is the law of cause and effect, an unbreakable law of the cosmos. There will always be an effect, no matter how long the delay.

You will never understand the damage you did until someone else does the same to you, that's why I'm here. -
my name is.. .... KARMA.

DID JESUS EXIST? PERFORM MIRACLES?

There is no real evidence that the character, Jesus ever existed, and certainly no eye witness account of miracles being performed. If such miracles were seen at the time, there would have been widespread interest in the geographical area. But there wasn't. Not till 70ce did the first gospels appear and started to mention such events. The information copied between the gospel writers who never saw Jesus or any miracles. There were many men who in the period that Jesus was alleged to have lived, thought they were the unnamed Messiah mentioned in the old testament, and stories of miracles were common.
There was no objective evidence in the Bible, just letters and opinions.

An Unseen Help

A parable says that a man was returning one night from work, walking on a dark street. On his way there was a large stone that he did not see and he kicked and he was quite badly injured. The man continued on his way home, but stopped and pushed the stone into the ditch on the side of the road, thinking that no one else who might pass by would suffer the same. So his deed did good to others even though people who might have suffered the same would never have known of his deed. Like our man, God works daily for us to be well and not to hurt ourselves in countless ways. Even if we do not know and do not realize, the fact that we are ok and nothing bad happens to us does not mean that nothing bad could happen to us. It means that the Lord protects us and does this well. But we do not look up at night to go to bed to give thanks for the Lord's Work. Instead, we look up as soon as something bad happens and ask "why ... why me ... why now ... why so ... why ...? Maybe instead of looking We should look up at the past and ask why ... Maybe at some point our indifference is too great even for God to accept, maybe there are times when even He is tired of being treated with indifference. "His deeds, to be overlooked. An unseen help exists whether it is noticed or not. But we all need appreciation, to offer and to receive. Thank you for your attention." peace sad flower cheers
