Does God Exist?

For me a big yes. As a believer may I greet everyone a very Merry Christmas and peace to all as well.

What a fitting time to celebrate the birth of our Lord Jesus, who's teachings are all about being good.

I do know that Atheism (disbelief or lack of belief on the existence of God) and Agnosticism (the existence of God is unknown or unknowable) are also part of humanity. I am not here to disrespect the belief or non thereof of everyone but to share mine and why I do.

I do wish that we can all share our opinions on this topic in a civil and mature way. I am lucky I live in a country that protects this right, the right to believe or not believe. In your country, do you have a choice?

Thank you all for reading and or sharing your opinions if you do.

If you have doubts, please read the two books written by1. Dr. Brian Weiss, Many Lives Many Masters; and Dr. Eben Alexander, Proof of heaven. That's if you are in search for knowledge and have an open mind..

NOTE: FOR THOSE WHO BELIEVE. EXPLANATION ISN'T NEEDED AND THOSE WHO DON'T BELIEVE, EXPLANATION IS IMPOSSIBLE.

WHICH RELIGION IS THE TRUE ONE?

When Joseph Smith asked God which church was the true one, the response was none of them.
The Mormon church then developed after the appearance of Moroney a messenger from space who instructed Smith to locate gold bound writings concealed in an area described to him. These writings were after translation returned, so no longer exist. They were apparently witnessed by a number of people to give them some authenticity. After a number of other appearances to Joseph Smith by other biblical characters,The Church of latter Day saints resulted.
So I'm afraid everyone else has been following the wrong church beliefs. Or are they?

Believing in God saves you? From what?

Some people think that if you believe in a god then you are saved. What are you saved from I wonder? Perhaps it's better not to be saved and enjoy what you are doing. After all, who would want to exist in any possible after life and encounter people you hated in this current world.cheers

Disgusting, To Say The Least!

I’m not a Christian and therefore not bound by their conventions. I don’t have to turn the other cheek. I criticize the Church from time to time and point my finger at Christians when I think is due but have never attacked their God, nor the God of any other religion.

What I saw yesterday surpassed all levels of decency; I thought we lived in a time of religious tolerance.

People who think that blasphemy is good fun, are sick.

This is not about religion; it is about respect towards others and I'm deeply disappointed with the few people who approved of such behavior. Why does respect fly out the window when we get to religion.confused

Worship

Inspiring Christian worship music for those who wish to be inspired. Contributions must actually contain lyrics (or words) worshiping God the father and or Jesus our savior.

What is a Soul?

It cannot be seen or measured and there are no scientific instruments that can observe it. So how do we know we have a soul? Well we’ve been told so, that’s how. But is there anything about the soul that we can work out for ourselves?

Well a soul can’t be the same thing as consciousness because our consciousness can undergo changes that a soul cannot; or at least I presume it cannot. Is a soul susceptible to dementia, or the same kind of changes that the consciousness might face after a brain injury? If so, it seems a depressing thought that the soul could spend eternity in that state. Although I can’t say it with certainty, I’m going to conclude that the soul is not the same thing as consciousness.

Is it safe to assume that consciousness ceases to be after death? Consciousness certainly seems to be very dependent on brain function so it probably is safe to assume that it vanishes when the brain stops functioning. Consciousness, then, must be purely a mortal phenomenon, while the soul, it is said, is immortal. We can now then say that only the soul is subject to anything that might happen after physical death, and that consciousness will not be involved.

But what is the connection between consciousness and soul? Well we know that the soul will be held responsible for the choices we consciously make so our soul must be constantly influencing us, even though we don’t seem to have any insight into its process of doing so. It would seem as though we are merely vehicles being driven by our souls.

When I think about what the entity me actually is, obviously my physical body plays a part in my concept of self identity, but primarily I am thinking of my attitudes and opinions, my likes and dislikes, my emotions and what gives rise them, my memories; my personality and character. Are all these things mirrored in my soul? If so, I can’t imagine what the reason for this duplication might be. In the light of the conclusions I have already come to, I can’t seem to avoid the further conclusion that my soul and I are two separate entities that have an intimate coexistence but will, at some point, go our separate ways. This controlling thing I call the soul may well be accountable for its actions once we have parted company, but, during our coexistence, it seems to consider itself completely unanswerable to me.

While I might not have fully answered the original question, ‘what is a soul’, I have come up with perhaps a more pertinent question; why should I give a toss what happens to it after it has left its mortal coil?

Is the end near?

Now....I don't know....this is just shear speculation...nothing more. I am writing this as to see what you think and maybe what you can add or disprove.

Back in the late 1990's, I have a very deep and long conversation with an elderly gentleman who believed the end was near us. He said from when the time, in the bible, when the hand wrote on the wall....the writing, the old man told me, was a number. He told me, add that number to the year when the hand wrote it on the wall and you will have the year when everything will end.

In addition, he told me that our whole money system will be reset and we will be forced to accept a number. If a person does not accept that number, it will not be good. For starters, you will not be able to buy or sell. Also, if you do accept it, you are in essence accepting Satan.

Here comes the politics. Trump has claimed that he was going to bankrupt our nation. This would basically reset our whole financial system. If he bankrupts our country, what will he replace money with? What will it do to the world? What will be our new way of buying and selling?

The Anti-Christ is suppose to be a very charismatic person and is said to have the answer for everything...all of the problems we face.

There is technology out there that would allow us to be all individually tracked and with databases, individually monitored.

In the Book of Revelations, it said in the end, the seven trumpets will sound....and there are seven Trumps.

If you look at all the seals each of the trumpets are said to break....it is interesting when you look at today's day.

Just something I was thinking of.
