The World of Tomorrow - Final

Embedded image from another site

THE PLACE WHERE ALL OF GOD'S CHILDREN ARE GOING TO LIVE WITH THE LORD FOREVER IS NOT SOME FANCY DREAMLAND WAY OFF IN OUTER SPACE SOMEWHERE, but an even more amazing Dream City that's going to come down from God, out of space, to a beautiful New Earth!--And God is going to come down and live with us, and we with Him, in that Heavenly City! (Rev.21:1-3)

HEAVEN IS REAL!--Millions and billions of God's children who have already died and gone on to be with the Lord are already enjoying this wonderful, gigantic, golden City of Love which is on its way to Earth now!

(Continued Final)

During the Millennium, His Word says that "He will destroy in this mountain (kingdom) the face of the covering cast over all people, and the vail that is spread over all nations." (Is.25:7 .)--What vail?--The vail of misunderstanding, the vail of unbelief, the vail of non-comprehension of spiritual things.

In the face of the visible rule and reign of Christ on earth, His personal appearance to man, His Second Coming in mighty power and glory, His wiping out of the Antichrist and his kingdom and the imprisonment of Satan, and His obvious visible rule and reign of firm love with a rod of iron, forcing people to be good whether they like it or not, I think some are going to believe and receive who perhaps never heard before! And maybe there will be some who might even have heard, but didn't understand or couldn't believe until they saw something.

"For in that day shall the deaf hear the words of the book, and the eyes of the blind shall see out of obscurity, and out of darkness. The meek also shall increase their joy in the Lord, and the poor among men shall rejoice in the Holy One of Israel. Behold, a King shall reign in righteousness, and princes shall rule in judgement. And the glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together: for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it!" (Is.29:18,19; 32:1; 40:5.)

Everyone on earth will see His glorious power and kingdom, and everybody will believe then!--He even says, "And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for they shall all know Me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the Lord." (Jer.31:34.)

**
THEN JESUS and HIS RESURRECTED CHILDREN FROM ALL AGES WILL WORK TOGETHER WITH ALL OF THE PEOPLE ON EARTH who survived this horrific Battle, to rebuild a new and better World, setting up the Kingdom of God on Earth! (Rev.20:4,6) All wars will have ceased and men will "beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks and they shall learn war no more!" (Isa.2:4)

THE BIBLE SAYS THAT THIS PERIOD WILL LAST FOR 1,000 YEARS, and is therefore known as the Millennium! The Curse that came upon the Earth when man fell into sin will be removed and "one who dies at a hundred years old will be but a child"! (Isa.65:20) The Earth will be restored to the original beauty of the Garden of Eden and the "lion will lie down with the lamb and the leopard with the baby goat, and a little child shall lead them!" (Isa.11:6,7)

ARE YOU ONE OF THE SAVED WHO HAS THE BRIGHTEST and HAPPIEST FUTURE TO LOOK FORWARD TO, ruling and reigning with Jesus as one of His resurrected Flying Super-People during this wonderful time?–You could be teaching the surviving natural people of the Earth, like Grandfather and his family, the loving ways of Jesus, the King of kings!

BY SIMPLY PRAYING THIS LITTLE PRAYER YOU CAN RECEIVE JESUS and HIS WONDERFUL LOVE RIGHT NOW!: "Dear Jesus, I believe that You are the Son of God and that You died for me. Please forgive me for all my sins. I now open the door of my heart and ask You, Jesus, to please come in and give me Your free Gift of Eternal Life!–In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen."

Muslims in the Philippines

The Moros had a history of resistance against Spanish, American, and Japanese rule for 400 years. The origin of the war between the Moros and Christian Filipinos during the Spanish colonization of the Philippines.[citation needed] During the Spanish–Moro conflict, Spain repeatedly tried to conquer the Moro Sultanate of Sulu, Sultanate of Maguindanao, and the Confederation of sultanates in Lanao. The violent armed struggle against the Japanese, Filipinos, Spanish, and Americans is considered by current Moro Muslim leaders to be part of a four-century-long "national liberation movement" of the Bangsamoro (Moro Nation). The 400-year-long resistance against the Japanese, Americans, and Spanish by the Moro Muslims persisted and morphed into their current war for independence against the Philippine state.

The root of the conflict originates in the Spanish and American wars against the Moros.

Following the Spanish–American War in 1898, another conflict sparked in southern Philippines between the revolutionary Muslims in the Philippines and the United States military that took place between 1899 and 1913. Filipinos opposed foreign rule from the United States, which claimed the Philippines as its territory. On 14 August 1898, after defeating Spanish forces, the United States had established a military government in the Philippines under General Wesley Merritt as Military Governor. American forces took control from the Spanish government in Jolo on 18 May 1899, and at Zamboanga in December 1899. Brigadier General John C. Bates was sent to negotiate a treaty with the Sultan of Sulu, Jamalul Kiram II. Kiram was disappointed by the American takeover, as he expected to regain sovereignty after the defeat of Spanish forces in the archipelago. Bates' main goal was to guarantee Moro neutrality in the Philippine–American War, and to establish order in the southern Philippines. After some negotiation, the Bates Treaty was signed which was based on an earlier Spanish treaty. The Bates Treaty did ensure the neutrality of the Muslims in the south, but it was actually set up to buy time for the Americans until the war in the north ended. After the war, in 1915, the Americans imposed the Carpenter Treaty on Sulu.

Talents and Gifts, Strengths and Weaknesses

Embedded image from another site

By David Berg, February 2006

Most of us don’t consider ourselves particularly strong or capable, and we feel we lack certain strengths or abilities that we wish we had. That’s when it helps to remember that God specializes in using people who aren’t great in themselves.

The apostle Paul wrote, “You see your calling, brethren, that not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called. But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty; and the base things of the world and the things which are despised God has chosen, and the things which are not, to bring to nothing the things that are, that no flesh should glory in His presence” (1 Corinthians 1:26–29 2 Corinthians 4:7).

When we don’t feel capable or sufficient for the task God has set before us, then He has a chance to take over and do things to suit Himself. In fact, the weaker we get in ourselves, the stronger we can be in His Spirit, because that’s when His strength comes in (2 Corinthians 12:10).

The very fact that we feel incapable is one of the best things possible, because then we depend on the Lord and He has a chance to work—and He will. “It is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure” (Philippians 2:13). The Lord likes for us to be dependent on Him, to know that we need His help, and to ask Him for it. It’s then that “the things which are impossible with men are possible with God” (Luke 18:27).

The weakness of strength

The biggest temptation for people who have a lot of natural ability and drive is to push things through in their own strength, but that has its limits and dangers. “Men of force are men of faults,” and their biggest fault is when they keep on going in their own strength, their own force, instead of letting the Lord work through them.

My mother, for example, had a lot going for her in the natural—a lot of God-given talents, abilities, drive, personality, looks, and so on. But it wasn’t until after she broke her back in an accident and was bedridden and in a wheelchair for five years that the Lord was able to use her the way He wanted to. After she and her doctors had tried everything they could with no success, when she didn’t have anyone else to turn to and no more strength of her own, the Lord stepped in and healed her miraculously—and she knew the Lord had done it! She still had the natural traits and abilities He’d originally given her, but through this experience she learned to lean on Him, to let Him use those traits and abilities for His glory, and to give Him the credit for whatever got accomplished—and that’s when He was finally able to use her to the full. Of course, all of us depend on our natural abilities to some extent at different times, so to rely more on the Lord and His strength is a lesson we all need to learn.

How to win spiritual victories

It’s been said that “Satan trembles when he sees the weakest saint upon his knees.” Well, that certainly is the truth, because when you’re weak in yourself, that’s when you can be “strong in the Lord and in the power of His might” (Ephesians 6:10). However, the Devil might not tremble so much if you’re one of those people who think that they’re “strong.” If you’re too self-confident, that in itself is a major spiritual weakness. “Let him who thinks he stands take heed lest he fall” (1 Corinthians 10:12).

We cannot strive in our own strength. We must look to the Lord, and He must win the battle. We don’t have to try to win victories by our own striving, struggling, and working in the flesh. We just have to do our part by putting our will on God’s side, and God will do the rest, which is virtually everything!

Missionary zeal.

Just returned from bringing the kids back from the succesful end of year two at university. Drop off at Mom's. Stopped at my main wifi spot (McD's) for some of your blogging enlightenment. Four squeaky clean young men, next table, LDS lads, came over to get in a few licks of proselytising. Almost all evangelicals have a tendency toward the tedious. They were suprised with my familiarity with their Book and tradition, being a spiritual searcher of sorts, and reading main writings from each. What did I think of what I read. I said that for me, the Book of Mormon had a striking similarity to the King James Bible, new testament, with names and places morphed a little, for the North American first peoples' scene. Didn't have the heart to say that Joseph Smith may have plagiarized the real New Testament, likely while on hallucinogens, between poontang sesssions with upper NY state farmers' wives.. And that it's amazing to me that so many bright people of their faith haven't seen this as well. As a younger Turk, I may have been so brutal. But I'm grateful for more equanimity, and less anger. Pope Francis visits Egypt....

He wants, againgst strong council otherwise. to travel in mostly personal unproteted fashion. Given the scene in Egypt these days, this is brave but of course has merit for many things. Ecumenical relations between both forms of Catholicism, generation of good will, pride among his flock, and so on, to list a few. But it's also a chance to see if radical Islamic hot heads can view his visit similarly, keeping his visit peacceful, and thereby show that they've really read and understood the majority of the Holy Khoran. We'll see. Aa.

North Hollywood Shootout

I learned from an Uber driver yesterday that I'm currently about three blocks from the scene of the crime. I remember it well and at the time I thought how oddly appropriate that it happened in Hollywood since to me it looked like a movie. But in this movie they were using real bullets--an estimated 2,000 of them, and real blood.

There was a movie made about it (of course there was) but it couldn't compare to the real-time news footage.

Anywayyyyy, I was close to having a smoke yesterday, paying for an Arizona iced tea and peering over the cashier's shoulder at the cigarettes on display....
I could almost hear them calling out to me, "Come on, one more won't kill you!"

Actually it might. Maybe that's the attitude I need to adopt. The next one just might be the final nail in the coughin'. Pun intended. Today is 16 days.

THINGS OMITTED FROM THE BIBLE

When the bible was assembled, why was the Book of Enoch omitted? After all, it was discovered amongst the Dead Sea Scrolls. Perhaps the church leaders didn't like the idea of extra terrestrial giants roaming the earth and having s*xual relationships with the beautiful earth women. Though the story of David and Goliath appears to depict such a giant existing. Also why was the comment made by Jesus when asked by Peter, " Who is your favourite disciple?" replied with " Mary Magdalene," not included. Could it be that the male church leaders did not like the idea of a woman being his favourite?

WHY DO THE SUFIS DANCE? (text by Osho)

Are two types of energy in the world: the positive and the negative, male and female, yin and yang. Zen people use the negative energy; they use the passive path. Sufis use the positive energy; they use the active path. They are very vibrant people.

Their meditation is not of passivity; their meditation is that of ecstasy.

Both are ways you can reach to the same goal, because the goal is exactly in the middle. The positive is one extreme, the negative the other extreme. Between the positive and the negative there is a middle point, exactly in the middle, from where transformation happens - one transcends the world and everything - from where one enters into God and becomes God.

If you feel that you are on the negative pole already, a passive type, then follow Zen and start moving deeply in your passivity, and one day you will reach the middle. Or if you feel that you are an active person, full of energy, youth, positivity, that sitting silently is very difficult, unnecessarily a torture, then dance, follow the Sufis' way.

And I go on speaking on Zen and Sufism again and again so that all kinds of people are helped here. You have to choose. You have to watch yourself, your energy, and then you choose. Both are valid ways, both lead to the same goal.

Rumi says, "Hey I Drink this fine fiery wine, these needles of fire, and fall so drunk that you will not wake on the Day of Resurrection."

The way of the Sufi is the way of the drunkard, the dancer, who becomes almost intoxicated in his dancing, who is transported through his dance. He is inebriated; his dance is psychedelic.

It is said that Mohammed once said to Ali, "You are of me, and I am of you. " When he heard this, Ali became ecstatic and involuntarily started dancing. What else can you do, when a man like Mohammed says to you, "You are of me, and I am of you"? How to receive this? Ali did well.

And remember, it is not anything that he did. It was involuntary. He started dancing; out of ecstasy the dance started flowing.

Another time, Mohammed said to Jafar, "You are like me in both looks and character. " Here again, in wajd, Jafar started dancing. What else to do? When Mohammed must have looked into the eyes of Jafar, wajd, samadhi, was created, the transfer beyond the scriptures happened. How to receive this? How not to dance? It would have been impossible not to dance. Jafar danced.

It is said, "The enrapturing of the Sufi by God, or rather the 'pull' of God, keeps the Sufi continually in spiritual, inner dance and movement...." It is not that the Sufi dances - God keeps dancing in him.

What can he do?

".... Whenever a wave of such divine rapture strikes the heart of the Sufi, it creates great waves in the lake of his inner being...." He is just a receptacle. To say that the Sufi is dancing is not right. The Sufi is being danced. He cannot help it, he is helpless. Something is pouring into him and it is too much; it starts overflowing in his dancing and singing.

"This, in turn, causes his body to move. Upon seeing such movement non-Sufis have often supposed that the Sufi is dancing. In reality, however, it is the waves of the ocean of God that are tossing and turning the anchorless vessel that is the heart of the Sufi."

On the surface, from the outside, the Sufi seems to be dancing. But he is not dancing, because there is no dancer. It is pure dance. God has taken possession of him. The Sufi is drunk, intoxicated. His state is that of non-being. He is anchorless. The waves of the ocean toss and turn. First his inner being is stirred, great joy arises there; and then it starts spreading towards his body.

That's what you are doing with Aneeta; that's what is happening to Aneeta. You are participating in something immensely beautiful in Sufi dancing. Remember it: forget the dancer and be the dance. The way of the Sufi is the way of dance, song, celebration

Liberating Our Perspectives (Part 1)

Embedded image from another site

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28 (KJV)

by Maria Fontaine August 22, 2015

Do you ever look at the tests, struggles, and impossible situations you find yourself in and wonder if it might be the result of something you did wrong? Perhaps you’re in the midst of sickness and feel that God is chastising you because you haven’t lived up to your spiritual commitments? Or perhaps you see the struggles you’re facing as a sign of weak faith?

Looking at what happens in your life from this perspective comes from the assumption that God is upset or angry over your mistakes, shortcomings, and sins.

I’m sure He wants us to learn to do better, but if you see God’s hand in your life as one of anger and judgment, please ask yourself if that is consistent with Jesus’ love and example. Think about all He has given you and done for you. He’s not in the business of making you pay for what He’s already paid for. He’s in the business of using everything that comes into your life to help bring out the good, the beauty, and the qualities He created you with.

Remember that Jesus loved you before you loved Him.1 If His goal was to punish you for your weaknesses, failings, and sins, that would seem to contradict all that He has done for you. Why then would He have come to earth to die for you and to take all your sins on Himself? He knows all the blunders and sins that every one of us is guilty of. He knew that you and I would make mistakes and even sometimes intentionally disregard His counsel.

Yet, He loves us enough to see us with all our flaws and still go to such lengths to rescue us. Why would His purpose be to make us suffer retribution for what He has already forgiven us for?

I believe that Jesus is interested in maximizing our strengths and blessings. He’s like our CEO in the kingdom of heaven. What kind of CEO would be more concerned with rendering consequences and judgment than maximizing potential? Any good CEO will be focused on empowering those in his company to do their best. I believe that’s what our Lord’s goal is as well. He’s providing you with every opportunity to do your best for His “Heavenly Kingdom.com.”

So if these things that happen are not His retribution on us for being less than perfect, there has to be another purpose in what we face, which lines up with who He is and all that He’s done for us.

This earthly existence will sometimes bring struggles, times of loneliness, discouragement, sorrow, suffering, frustration, and lack of vision. Sometimes we’ll face intense hopelessness, confusion, or weariness in well-doing. But we always have the freedom to choose to turn to Jesus or not. And when we do, even the most terrible circumstances can bring us into a deeper, richer, greater understanding and relationship with Him.

It doesn’t matter how problems come, Jesus can take these setbacks and troubles and use them for His good purposes. Those of us who love Him can trust that in His time He will bring a greater good of some kind into our lives from them.

He turns what would be hell without Him into the heavenly blessings of deeper faith, stronger determination, and an abiding love for Jesus that makes it possible to face the future and accomplish our calling. We can walk with Him through anything, because the path He’s leading us along leads to an eternity in His presence, in the light of His glory and love, and the truly great and unimaginably wonderful rewards He has promised. (See 1 Peter 4.) (Continued)

1 1 John 4:19.
