Pope Francis has it right when it comes to money

Atlanta Archibishop Wilton Gregory did the right thing when he sold his $2.2 million Atlanta home. He was so wrong, from the start. His first act of wrongness was building the mansion. His second act of wrongness was his initial statement that he “would consider selling the mansion.” If he was at all in tune with Pope Francis, his first statement would have been, “I will sell the property.” He eventually sold it.

Reportedly, Joseph Mitchell, nephew of Margaret Mitchell who authored the book, “Gone with the Wind,” bequested $15 million to the Archdiocese. Gregory openly used some of the funds for his personal dwelling. And, there is at least one other archbishop who committed a similar act. Reportedly, Newark Archbishop John Myers was crucified by his parishioners for spending $500,000 to beautify and upgrade his retirement home. Amazingly, these two men made such expenditures despite the position of the pope! And, thats not all. The Vatican forced German Bishop Franz-Peter Tebartz-van Elst to submit his resignation for the same type of “unholiness.” This man spent $31 million euros ($43 million) on his own residence. German people were outraged. Reportedly, the mansion had conference halls, a museum, private apartments, and a chapel.

Where is this nonsense coming from? The new pope is clear. The pope don’t play that. Upon his appointment he clearly showed his expectations for respecting and uplifting families and individuals who were poor and disenfranchised. The blueprint for the issues that were to define the pope’s expectations were forthright and in some instances “shocked the world.”

He criticized capitalism and called upon the rich to share their wealth and challenged the media to refocus on priorities. Let’s recall some excerpts from the pope’s speech, following his appointment:

“How can it be that it is not a news item when an elderly homeless person dies of exposure, but it’s news when the stock market loses two points. Today, everything comes under the laws of competition and the survival of the fittest, where the powerful feed upon the powerless.”

He commented on the idolatry of money. He said:

“I prefer a church which is bruised, hurting and dirty because it has been out on the streets rather than a church which is unhealthy from being confirmed and clinging to its own security.”

Before any Protestants start throwing stones, take a look at Protestant ministers. Joel Osteen, senior pastor of Lakewood Church in Houston, Texas. He has a private residence valued at $10.5 million. Osteen boasts that he does not take a salary from his church. He really doesn’t need the church’s money as he makes his money selling books. However, the congregation made him rich before he sold one book. He has made millions on his publications with book advances as high as $13 million. Osteen pastors the largest congregation in America. And, there are others who are reportedly multi-millionaires living in mansions. Chris Oyakhiome has a net worth of $50 million, Benny Hinn $42 million, and Creflo Dollar (pardon the pun) $27 million, to name a few. These men sport BMWs, Rolexes and mansions, while most of us have trouble keeping our cars in running condition, while wearing mickey mouse watches, and paying mortgages on average priced homes which are badly in need of repairs.

Osteen’s on-going verbiage is, “You are entitled to a life of abundance God intended for you.” If God intended for all of us to have financial abundant lives then why are there millions of faithful, dedicated poor Christians? If the wealthy ministers have millions of dollars tied up in cars, why not sell a few and buy some of the carless worshippers Impalas? And, what about those faithful worshippers who give their last dollars in collection plates, through faith, in lieu of paying their utility bill, and have no heat the next week?

An Ounce of Prevention

Well, we are all aware that Christmas is around the corner. Many Christian people around the world will be celebrating this day that has been set aside in honor of the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ. His birth was a very special unselfish gift of life freely given to the world by God; so that whosoever would believes in Jesus as their Lord and Savior (Redeemer) through repentance of your sins, would not perish, but would have everlasting (eternal) life to live with the Lord in heaven after death from this earth, forever.

For some, Christmas is not a good time of celebration, joy, love, peace, laughter, giving, good food, or being with family or fiends. Some are estranged from loved ones, and many loved ones have died. But that's no excuse for anyone to sit around being sad, or feeling lonely or depressed due to anger during Christmas. It shouldn't matter if you have family or friends, because there is much you can do to make yourself happy, and in return others will be happy.

Happiness is a choice YOU make for your inner self and peace. GIVE YOURSELF AWAY TO OTHERS THIS CHRISTMAS! GIVING OF YOUR TIME TO VISIT AN ELDERLY PERSON IN YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD, OR IN A NURSING HOME GO SIT WITH THEM AND READ, OR SHAVE AN ELDERLY MAN, OR HAVE A CUP OF COFFEE... GIVE YOURSELF AWAY THIS CHRISTMAS BY WORKING IN HOMELESS SHELTERS OR TO HELP FEED THE POOR. THIS IS THE GREATEST GIFT OF LOVE AT ANY TIME OF THE YEAR, BUT ESPECIALLY, DURING CHRISTMAS WHEN YOU FEEL DEPRESSED, SAD, LONELY, AND HAVE NO MONEY TO BUY GIFTS FOR OTHERS. CHRISTMAS IS NOT about buying gifts, ITS ABOUT FREELY GIVING OUR OF LOVE TO OTHERS... helping others in need is the more EXCELLENT WAY, because GOD OUT OF LOVE GAVE OF HIS SON TO US. AND THERE IS MUCH YOU CAN GIVE!

PLEASE DO NOT EVEN ENTERTAIN DOING THE DAMNABLE THIS CHRISTMAS SEASON AND OFT TIME THIS HAPPENS. SUICIDE IS NOT THE ANSWER NOR THE WAY, THIS IS SELFISHNESS! Only to leave others in total grief and sadness, and your soul damned for hell to spend eternity tortured forevermore. CONTRARY TO POPULAR BELIEF AND UNBELIEFS, HELL IS A REAL PLACE!

DEPRESSION HURTS, NOT ONLY YOU, BUT EVERYONE CONNECTED TO YOU. SUICIDE IS NOT THE ANSWER!... REACH OUT TO OTHERS... DON'T WAIT AROUND! NEED HELP? CALL SOMEONE FOR HELP TODAY!
Call 1-800-273-8255

You are NOT alone. No matter who you are or what problems you are struggling with, hurting yourself isn't the answer. We want to help you find hope.

If you or someone you know exhibits any of these signs, seek help as soon as possible by calling the Lifeline at 1-800-273-TALK (8255).
Talking about wanting to die or to kill oneself.
Looking for a way to kill oneself, such as searching online or buying a gun.

It can be scary when a friend or loved one is thinking about suicide. Let us help.

If someone you know has any of the following warning signs we encourage you to call 1-800-273-TALK (8255) so that you can find out what resources are available in your community or area. Your call is routed to the Lifeline center closest to your area code. The local crisis center may have resources such as counseling or in-patient treatment centers for your friend or family member. Most importantly, please encourage them to call the Lifeline.

Offer hope that alternatives are available but do not offer glib reassurance.
Take action. Remove means, such as guns or stockpiled pills.
Get help from persons or agencies specializing in crisis intervention and suicide prevention.

People having a crisis sometimes perceive their dilemma as inescapable and feel an utter loss of control.

If you experience these feelings, get help! If someone you know exhibits these symptoms, offer help!

Missing Years of Jesus

I am aware that, in the Bible, Jesus is mentioned, at the age of twelve, discoursing with the learned men in the temple who were amazed at the wisdom of this young child.(Luke 2:41,46,47)

The next time he appears is to be baptised by John the Baptist at the age of thirty, shortly after which he began his ministry which was for three years.(Luke 3:21,23)

The Bible does mention that after he left the temple, at the age of twelve, he went with his parents to Nazareth and was subject to them. (Luke 2:51).
However, considering the impact of his ministry on the lives of others, and the effect it has on history, this is very inadequate information on what transpired with regard to Jesus, between the ages of twelve to thirty.
What really took place during this period?

Several books have been written by others which seek to fill this gap.
The general concensus seems to be that during that period, Jesus was in the “East”, including India and Tibet.
At the birth of Jesus, the gospels state that “wise men” from the East came to visit him.
If Jesus was in the East during that period, could it be that his teachings, to some extent, were influenced by that “Eastern Wisdom”? Several persons have expressed such a view.

For more information on the subject, do a google search on “lost years of Jesus” which gives several links including the following:

Several “scriptures” have been written, which refer to Jesus, that are not included in the Bible, e.g. “The Gnostic Gospels”.
Did some of these make reference to Jesus spending time in the East during the period from ages twelve to thirty? Were these deliberately omitted?
Who decided which “scriptures” were to be included and which were not?
What was the rationale for such a decision?

Being a Christian...

First of all, what many in the world do not know or understand is, that quoting Scriptures DOES NOT make you a Christian; saying you believe in God, yet denying the power thereof DOES NOT make you a Christian; Being a nice compassionate caring person DOES NOT make you a Christian; Doing good deeds DOES NOT make you a Christian; Being raised in a home where your parents took you or made you attend church every Sunday DOES NOT make you a Christian; attending church on special occasions as an EMC (Easter, Mother’s Day ,Christmas) church member DOES NOT make you a Christian; not given to smoking, cursing, drinking or drugging DOES NOTmake you a Christian.

Being a Christian is a spiritual happening on the inside of a person’s whole being (mind, body, soul, and spirit), and in his/her life and is a life-style change, that bring about a spiritual change, in a committed personal relationship connected to Jesus Christ in His Spirit with our spirit, and in truth; a person who has confessed his/her sins before God and turned away from those sins, has faith to believe that Jesus Christ paid their sin debt in a suffering death on the cross, to reconcile us back to God; therefore, there is NOW no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, who no longer walk (live) according to the flesh, but walk (live) according to the Spirit of God. This person is connected in a relationship with Christ, and is as Jesus says, YOU MUST BE BORN AGAIN! John chapter 3

A Christian is a person who has been REGENERATED by the Spirit of God and has been water baptized and resurrected as a new creature in Christ, which means born again in the Spirit and baptized in the water. The old creature (nature) has passed away, and behold that person is made new, filled (joined) with the holy Spirit of God, and set apart, called and seen as righteous in the eyes of God, because that person has taken on God's righteousness.

The Christian has no questions about following the teaching of Jesus Christ, and believes by faith that Jesus is God incarnated, the Creator of the universe; He/she is a public witness of this Gospel of Jesus Christ to all people freely professing and confessing his /her faith not just in words but life-style and deeds, believing in what Jesus has said, "For what will a man give in exchange for his soul? 38"For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of Man will also be ashamed of him when He comes in the glory of His Father with the holy angels." Mark chapter 8

So, what then is REGENERATION?... glad you asked... Regeneration means to BE BORN AGAIN OR TO BE RESTORED FROM THE OLD SIN NATURE TO THE NEW SPIRITUAL NATURE IN CHRIST Jesus ... born again from above by God, through the washing away of our inner-man by the Holy Spirit, and forgiven by God of ALL sins. A person who has been regenerated the Holy Spirit takes up residence in the body (spirit) that person who has repented of their sins, and asked (invited) Jesus Christ to come into their heart. As Jesus let's the disciples know in John chapters 14 & 15. The Holy Spirit helps the believer to live as God has commanded us to live, He convicts our hearts of our sins when we sin, so that we can immediately repent and remain righteous (in good standing)before God.

Regeneration is the spiritual change in a person riding us of our sin nature and this enables us to respond to God by faith. Our minds are illuminated, our will to do things our way is no longer our mindset, sin is no longer of interest, and we have a new nature in Christ. Regeneration brings about a new disposition and a personal relationship with Jesus Christ is experienced. God opens up His knowledge, understanding and wisdom in Christ to us, and we are secure in life here on earth and eternal life in heaven. THIS IS WHAT BEING A TRUE CHRISTIAN IS ALL ABOUT!!

~~ HAVE A LOOK INSIDE YOU ~~

Take a good look at your mind. Examine it closely. The first thing you will come to know is that the mind has become the master -- not you and not your soul! The mind says: Do this"! And you do it! If you don't the mind creates problems. It become sad, and the sadness of the mind becomes your sadness. If you do as it says you get nowhere, for the mind is blind. Where can you reach by obeying the mind! The is unconsciousness. If you listen to it you reach nowhere.

Believers and unbelievers

what it make man a believer? Is because he heared the truth from God and understand it and so he
decided to become a believer.
Why unbelievers comes against truth of God to talk or write against ?
Is because they don,t hear truth or hear but not understand or are filled with evil and so truth find
no place in them and so they talk or write againts truth .
Jesus said:those that believe and obey truth will be saved. But those who don,t believe truth are
condemned.
So devil is all evil,he do any thing just to mislead and deceive people and make them evil and to reject
truth and talk or write against truth.
Why Believers believe truth? is Because they want to believe and obey God,and so go away from
disbelieves and disobedience that make people to rebell against truth.
So if you believe and obey truth you will be saved and live with God.
All those that want good for themselves and for others:comes to believe and obey truth of God and so they are saved from sin and from evil that do all kinds of suffer.
nice day.

It is weird to me

as I look at the blogs and see all the obsessive compulsive s whining either about Trump kicking Hillary off the line, or, asking Jesus to please come destroy the world quickly so the disbelievers can hurry up and burn in Hell fire while the believers passing judgment (really just a food quality inspection) dissolve into little flecks of God food and are absorbed into his palace as food. Doesn't anyone here want to just blog about o*gasm and s*xual positions anymore?
