What about before

Have you ever thought about what you may or may not have done before to deserve what you got now? Reading about karma....not only karma in this life, but karma carrying over from many lives before. It is said that if we treated people bad in a previous life, we will be treated bad in a life yet to come...possibly this life. So with that said, are we exactly where we are today because of multitudes of life decisions? Being a simple person, I always thought we were where we are at because of present life decisions.

What about it? If you are a miserable bastard today and believe you have never wronged anyone, maybe it is payback for something a 1000 years ago. Or, maybe you are just an idiot and failed to see something from somebody's perspective eye whom you put tears in.

Anyway, where is Robert? I was waiting for part II.

Visitation Dreams:

It's claimed 2/3 of the widowed have had dreams in which their deceased spouse visits them. (Hence the term roll eyes )

These dreams differ from ordinary dreams in several ways...
They are very realistic - usually devoid of fantastic & absurd qualities.
They are very lucid - having a feeling of reality & immediacy.
They are easily remembered, and remembered for a long period of time...
more like a the memory of an actual event.

This subject came up in another venue, the CS Poetry Corner. (CSers are a talented bunch, are we not. grin )
The poem, "Was It Really You", by Abby1963, can be seen in the "poetry" area.
For those unfamiliar, it is a quite realistic portrayal of the phenomenon.

So...
Have any of you had such an experience?
What do you believe is the origin/cause?
What was your feeling about/response to the dream?
Have you experienced any other similar phenomena?

BTW- This is not exclusive to the widowed...
Others report such visits from parents, grandparents, siblings & such.

And, before you ask...Yes, I'm in that 2/3 group.

Have you ever witnessed or received a miracle from

Miracles are a hot topic. Many doubt or flat out reject them. Some will go to great length in trying to discredit them,or find another explanation that does not involve the supernatural. Yet miracles can and do happen to regular people every day. This blog IS NOT to debate or argue about it. It is simply an open invitation to anyone who has received a miraculous answer to prayer,or witnessed a miracle to briefly share their story in a factual manner. Blessings and peace! angel

The cure for religion,

Terrorism & homelessness all in one small move, shame it wouldn't cure cancer sigh

Most of the cells in our bodies circulate harmlessly around doing there good work, that is until they turn cancerous, then like terrorists they're only aim in life is take over the body for there own ends & kill. If it were possible to stop that first cancerous cell from spreading that would equate to the cure would it not dunno We may not be able to do that with cancer but we could with religious terrorists, of any persuasion, merely by making all religious communication illegal & punishable by severe penalties wow

How it could work - Nobody is stopped from believing what they like, they can pray if they choose or not if they don't, but what they can't do is spread their religion to others, not a mention of religion would be allowed, anywhere, this will not infringe on anyone's beliefs, nor would it end religion as god or Christ or whatever would still be able to talk to you personally uh oh

As religion would become just a personal thing there would be no need of churches, mosques etc, these would automatically become shelters for the homeless, the running of which would be funded by donations from people wishing to do so as they currently do paying for their house of prayers, religious organisations would become charities doing good work & funded as now. Everyone would be equal, the religion section would be removed from the CS profile for example, thus also removing another potential barrier between members dancing

For me the question to be asked is, how many lives is your religion worth, one, a thousand, a million dunno As I believe all lives are sacred & equal just one death as a result of another's beliefs is one too many, above is one solution idea

Haiku. The poetry that does not rhyme

Haiku, unrhymed poetic form consisting of 17 syllables arranged in three lines of 5, 7, and 5 syllables respectively. The haiku first emerged in Japanese literature during the 17th century, as a terse reaction to elaborate poetic traditions, though it did not become known by the name haiku until the 19th century.

So, you have three lines.

First line, five syllables.
Second line, seven syllables.
Final line, again five syllables.

Popular in Japan for describing the Cherry Brossoms and mist along the mountains.

But one of my favorites is:

You never feed me.
Perhaps I'll sleep on your face.
That will sure show you.

Okay. Now you try.

TO BELIEVE OR NOT BELIEVE

I am a little hesitant on making my first debut on the blog after my imbroglio and would have decided to leave this place completely but because of so many of you that wrote me and care, I decided to stay and be with you longer. At least for a while longer..I hope.

This topic is almost as controversial as life itself and I have always maintained my own belief without necessarily be sensationalized but given all the celebrated topics on the blog lately, I am so tempted to yet again, explore a very sensitive and almost excruciatingly injurious and laborious to the mind discussion: The belief or no belief of GOD.

The question is why do you believe? Reasons? And if not, why?

Below is my personal reasons and I have maintained these reasons after so many books I have read and after so many discussions I have engaged with.

I believe because, if the collective geniuses of the world including but not limited to Dr. Neil Tyson de Grazzie, a Quantum Physicist and Dr. Richard Dawkins, both well known professors at Oxford University can't explain to me in layman's word the origin of this universe and until today CAN'T TELL ME WHERE THE END OF THIS Vast and expanse of space, then I have to give my belief to whom I call: God, and I am just and insignificant being. Having said that, I also believe that yes, there are other planets out there similar with us otherwise, all this space would be such a waste. If we truly are just but a tiny speck on this planet among millions more of galaxies in the Milky Way. (Coincidentally, NASA just released the latest report the other day that with the latest instrument, they discovered 750 more planets out there.)

So my friends, thank you so much for your participation and opinions.

I respect all other's belief and no way am I imposing mine to them as I expect them not to impose their beliefs on me..

All we will ever be?

Either the writer of Game of Thrones is a genius or he/she has a very vivid imagination mixed with a philosophical thinking that does not hold too much water. I am at a part in the series where a very profound statement has been made. I have just began to ponder it. I like thinking about things on my own first to see how valid points/philosophical statements are...but this one might take some time, time unfortunately I do not have a lot of lately. Getting some perspective here will certainly help.

The statement: "Hopes and dreams, and loves and fears will all we will ever be." Is it possible if we boil down everything in our lives into the most simplest forms, does this statement hold validity?

These four essential life characteristics do all pertain to the self. That is for sure.

The part in the series has to do with teaching a young girl to be nobody.

Is it better to be somebody or nobody?

dunno

The reason why I ask, to be somebody, carries an ego attached. From things I have seen and heard in the past, your ego is not your amigo. laugh

Not mocking. Just saying. Oh, and this isn't politics (YAY)

This is a trust-me blog, I guess, because most of us shy away nervously from any religious blog so it comes down to do you trust Biff not to cram her views down your reluctant throat?

It's an old Dave Allan comedy skit but it should be required watching for anyone who insists their religion is simple, straightforward, and easy to understand! This particular skit is about Christianity through the eyes of a child and it is brilliant, and will turn your impatience with zealots (believers AND atheists) on its head

So that makes it a Good Thing scold

Why do some people get upset when they hear the wo

I was dating someone on this site for over a year and a half. He was from the UK and even though he wasn't a christian he admitted to praying to God.usually only in desperate situations but he prayed nonetheless. Often he would say to me Kristine pray as He knew my prayers were effective. So one day Lee says to me I don't believe the Bible when it says someone has to be born again. He got pretty upset with that being in the Bible yet he would pray to God and ask for help in situations. So I explained to Lee that being born again was no different then being saved and salvation is not a hard thing neither is being born again .I asked him if He believed what the Bible says and he said some of it but not all if it. Either you believe the Bible that's its true or you don't I told him. We broke up shortly after that conversation as I realized I believed all of the Bible and it says a fool says in his heart there is no God and then it says stay away from fools lol. Much happier now Wishing everyone a safe and blessed weekend.
