Does God Exist?

For me a big yes. As a believer may I greet everyone a very Merry Christmas and peace to all as well.

What a fitting time to celebrate the birth of our Lord Jesus, who's teachings are all about being good.

I do know that Atheism (disbelief or lack of belief on the existence of God) and Agnosticism (the existence of God is unknown or unknowable) are also part of humanity. I am not here to disrespect the belief or non thereof of everyone but to share mine and why I do.

I do wish that we can all share our opinions on this topic in a civil and mature way. I am lucky I live in a country that protects this right, the right to believe or not believe. In your country, do you have a choice?

Thank you all for reading and or sharing your opinions if you do.

If you have doubts, please read the two books written by1. Dr. Brian Weiss, Many Lives Many Masters; and Dr. Eben Alexander, Proof of heaven. That's if you are in search for knowledge and have an open mind..

NOTE: FOR THOSE WHO BELIEVE. EXPLANATION ISN'T NEEDED AND THOSE WHO DON'T BELIEVE, EXPLANATION IS IMPOSSIBLE.

I have always been with my children and grand children on this great celebration but this year, I am visiting relatives and friends and stuck in the East Coast for a while.

For everyone, may you all have a happy and peaceful Christmas.
Hi Lindsay a very Merry Christmas to you too
In Holland we celebrated two days of Christmas I wished we had that here also
To me being a Christian is exiting always something going on teddybear wave Jenny
But there are several major religions which believe in God (sometimes by different names) but don't celebrate the birth of the baby Jesus?

Do Christians exist? might be a better title - and the answer is a clear yes on that one. Definitely.

An auld Scottish blessing to you -
Some hae meat and cannae eat.
Some nae meat but want it.
We hae meat and we can eat and sae the Lord be thankit.
Hi Phyllis! Merry Christmas to you and your family!
By the way. It is impossible to prove God does not exist. It is not impossible to prove that he does.
Jenny my greetings to you on this very well celebrated occasion. When I was young, the highlight of our year is this season. We did feel the spirit in a very humble but happy way. Gifts were not the only primary measure of connectivity but the spirit of being united on this wonderful season.
Said,

Jesus is part of the Trinity! The Trinity is made up of God the Father, God the Son, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit! They are all part of the Godhead!
Elle, you are right. Gods to others are believed in many different ways. Buddhism, is one and many more. If they believe in them as their Gods, they are all included in my assumption of believing or not. For me, it is the Catholic Christian of which I have been raised that I am particularly and specifically belong to that gives me the spirit of believing. Jesus as a Son of the Father. We call him our Lord.
Same thing with me Bill. Like I said, I am here to share what I believe and why. I am not here to question other's rather I would love to listen why and why not that they believe. It is not a matter of being right or wrong and I firmly believe that our founding fathers have written the Constitution just to establish that it is our private and personal choice to believe or not.

Now like you, I don't have to prove and or explain why He exists. Faith to me is very strong and I do know that that faith is not to be bent for anyone. I am raised by a very loving and religious (in a very good way) family and I have not found any reason why I should change that. In fact my children believe in the existence of God. Not as religious as we used to do but in their hearts, they do every thing that is good for everyone because of that belief.
Said, my respects. I can't wait to see the time when all of us are all united in making humanity peaceful and united with one force. The force of good Spirit. Meaning no wars, no harm against one another.

Thank you and my respects.
Jim Merry Christmas. I will be flying back to Cali after the New Year. I might be around the area (Wisconsin) after that.wine

Merry Christmas to you, too and your whole family.cheers
The most beautiful part of this celebration is the fact that we do give especial attention to all those that we love telling them and sharing them our happiness and wishes.
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast............ handshake
Jenny, it is in my faith that I stand for believing. Which means that we don't have to prove of His existence. I have read in one of the comments of the deleted blog that if some people need a reason to do Good to others is by believing then so be it. For me that is enough to be happy about.
"Youre Tempting The Possibilities"rolling on the floor laughing ........detective

Nam sometimes we have to over express ourselves to make a point and if that is enough a reason to be taken down and we can't do much anything about it, then there is nothing we can do but to let it go.
Just finished watching the movie "the Grinch."
God is either horrified beyond belief or is having a good laugh at what humanity has done to itself.
Probably Track.wave
I do believe that in the end, all that is good will prevail. At least that is how I feel. Being positive.

Merry Christmas Track.
I am not even sure if i exist
Ephesians 2:8-9 New International Version
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast.

Salvation can not be obtained by doing good works.
Doing good works is commendable but can not safe you wave
I do not understand what you mean by being saved, being saved from what ?
Thanks Jenny. Very good.

AT Marlin, if you are not even sure if you exist, then how do you expect to know what is being saved as preached by the sinners? I am a sinner. In our belief, we were all born with the original sin. To be saved, that is if you believe in life after death or heaven, you will be saved if you confess your sins and sin no more and Make our Lord our Saviour.
If this blog is taken down because of you, don't worry, I copied it and pasted it in my mail so I can repost it just to read your disrespectful comment.
it was an honest question, because if someone else can save us, why are we even bothering living a life in human form. Essentially we could just say well i can just skip all this, I have always thought my life had a purpose.
Well to be honest, being a sure as one's existence is such an oxymoron. To even attempt to say that you are not sure if you exist. What is existence to you? Aren't you here? Thank you by the way.

But in our religion we are taught that we do have choices. To be good and to be bad, While in a civilized world we all attempt to be good per humanity's progressive development, but we are imperfect and do commit wrong many a times. To be able to be penitent and sincerely apologize for such imperfection is the beginning. Then pray to our Lord to guide us to do the right thing. Saved in a way of being free of guilt.
You will not understand any of this if you were not familiar with our collective knowledge of being a Christian.

And I am not saying you are wrong nor you need to know but since you ask the question, it will be so exhaustive for any of us to let you know how it is to be saved. It is a product of a very serious endeavor in learning to be a good person which is the basis of being a Christian.
I apologize, Lindsy, and if you will just let me know what the strongest permissible term for those religious fools who just can't seem to prevent themselves from quoting the book of stupidity is, I will use that in future. thumbs up
In that case bcjenny would be better off forgetting about the Bible and start doing something about that mean spirited streak of her's.
It is so much more complicated than saying i am here in a human body, Do i exist in more places than this one, is this only part of me. did my consciousness dream me into being? To me it has be be more complicated than doing right or wrong. why on my dreams do i see myself in places that do not exist on this earth.
Atlas shrugged is still on the reading list and downloaded.

The wall. i don't believe in it.
The USA are on a splitting point.
I would disagree that the usa can't cope with extra people and will become poor.
I agree that the new welfare state murders the free flow.
Poor people relief will accumulate into cities, cities will remain running on handouts and not simply run dry.
But the pain is what drives the USA innovation process a little bit.

After so many centuries, Americans will need to define who they are.

For one, same as in Europe. barbarians need barbarian law.
And people should remain citizens of their own country. so they can be kicked out easily.
I don't blame you for not believing in the intended goal and function of the wall Leno. It is not you nor your money that is used in funding these illegals and how much it cost our justice department trying to right their wrong. This morning on Fox show there was a report of all the criminals that had been apprehended just by last year. One hundred sixty thousand criminals are now in our prison handling their cases.

No if you fast forward in 50 years as to what is the landscape of this country with the excessive numbers of illegals coming daily, it would be impossible to not make your stomach cringe.

I would encourage legal immigration and I know it takes a long time, but that is what is the right thing to do. If we let them come and continue what has been going on, do you think that only the people of the South will come? No you are not even aware of the numbers of Chinese coming from the ships illegally.

No I favor and support the building of the wall if only to protect ourselves and our interest.
To the choirmaster. Of David. The fool says in his heart, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, they do abominable deeds, there is none who does good. Plams 14:1
It's only a book, Lindsy, let's not get things out of proportion. scold
Marlin you have no idea how I am so fascinated with dreams. You see, let me repeat my comment that was posted on the deleted blog of Candykid. And I repeat:" If indeed, this planet earth is about billion years old and there are so many marvels that remain standing from previous civilization like that of the pyramid and yet no one can explain how it is being built as we are missing the blue print, doesn't it make your mind question what really happened? Here is my theory: Man has advanced so many times and develop all these high tech gadgets much like what we have now. One button and kaboom, it vanished in the air. The whole earth is empty and void of human life again. Billion years.

Now it is scientifically proven that our human brain is much more capable than how we can utilize at the moment. Imagine we only use about an average of 5 to 10 percent of what it can actually do. Einstein probably had a 12 percent usage of his brain. Now imagine if there comes a time that we can actually all that is in our brain. We can probably transport ourselves into other universe by then. Now for me, there has to be a possibility of a God and we can then become little Gods.
Let me continue with the dreams Marlin. I have always wondered how the mind can create the scenes. The reality look alike of a life that we are thrown into. Now when we wake up, at least to me, I marvel at the fact that I have experience much the same way as when I am conscious. That alone proves to me the power of a Supreme being that is Good, I call Him God.

If these phenomenon, dreams and imagination can truly be in my brain, but yet I can't consciously relate it to reality, imagine how much easier for me to believe that there is God.
Locking to me is a means of being safe Leno.
Okay, I'm calm again now, Lindsy. drinking
