Does God Exist?

For me a big yes. As a believer may I greet everyone a very Merry Christmas and peace to all as well.

What a fitting time to celebrate the birth of our Lord Jesus, who's teachings are all about being good.

I do know that Atheism (disbelief or lack of belief on the existence of God) and Agnosticism (the existence of God is unknown or unknowable) are also part of humanity. I am not here to disrespect the belief or non thereof of everyone but to share mine and why I do.

I do wish that we can all share our opinions on this topic in a civil and mature way. I am lucky I live in a country that protects this right, the right to believe or not believe. In your country, do you have a choice?

Thank you all for reading and or sharing your opinions if you do.

If you have doubts, please read the two books written by1. Dr. Brian Weiss, Many Lives Many Masters; and Dr. Eben Alexander, Proof of heaven. That's if you are in search for knowledge and have an open mind..

NOTE: FOR THOSE WHO BELIEVE. EXPLANATION ISN'T NEEDED AND THOSE WHO DON'T BELIEVE, EXPLANATION IS IMPOSSIBLE.

Thanks Harbal. hug
I'm beyond locking up.
some people yes.

but not 0,9 percent of Americans now actual in jail.

isolating people from society has a different means and purpose.
a hash dealer isnt the same as a murderer, or a fighter, or tax evader, they need different kind of penalties.
i wonder if our minds are creating it, or if we are actually at different places all at once.
Now that is a very good question Marlin. I have read the book of Dr. Weiss, "Many Lives Many Masters" and it is a very interesting possibilities that is both mind boggling and yet rational at the same time.

If you have time, please read it. It is a very enlightening one.
i will see if i can find it, thank you
You are welcome. Let me know how you will feel about it. The dimensional existence of our being is considered a possibility.

Our universe is so big and we are but a very tiny speck on this universe. The possibility of having a lot of dimensions even with our ordinary minds seem not plausible at all. I mean it does give me an idea that in fact, there is so much out there that is beyond my human mind to comprehend. Like the end of this Universe, where is it? I do account my belief in a Supernatural good Supreme being that has created all this. I call Him God.

Nam, yes indeed. We're just a tiny itsy biddy speck of this awesome God's creation.
I do believe on many around me Fiorenza. It doesn't change the fact that I believe more in my God.wave

I hope you had a happy Christmas wave
Yes God exists.
namaron, when I was a little girl, I asked my dad if there was an end to space. His answer was, what would be beyond it?
the heavens declare HIS glory.
Exactly Ellie. That is enough proof for me that He exists. bouquet
Believing and not believing in God is a very personal one. I am glad I am a citizen of a country which acknowledges the existence of a God, even as it can't be physically proven nor it is required to do so.
I don't have any problem with the concept of God, Lindsy, even though I don't personally have any beliefs in that area. What does leave me dumbfounded, though, is what people believe about God.
I don't blame you Harbal. Just chose not to limit possibilities. These beliefs and or existence of such beliefs are very much a product of our complicated and innate desire to know more and more and more.
man is more apt to believe BS than truth.
Stringman that's the truest thing you've ever said.
Absolutely String, but I am sure there are so many of us who want to believe the truth. The journey to finding the truth is so complicated and requires a lot of effort. I personally believe, most people prefer to indulge on bs like you say because there is no effort required to accept it.
they want to believe BS because it suits what they want to believe.
Yes and unfortunately there is nothing we can do about it. On the news, however, we have accountability to make sure that what we present are not just bs. That is our big challenge we have today specially in the world of politics because the media (most if not all of it) is mostly owned and controlled by ICA and guess who is the board of directors on these media feeding all the bs in our world. Chelsea Clinton. Of course, guess what they would want us to believe.

Like I have mentioned, the objectivity of the media on seeking the truth is now influenced by the servers' interests. Very bad situation we are in. Did you read about the expose of NYT as a very anti Trump media?
you know why they don't like Trump is because he blocked the globalists of achieving their goal of a one world order.
Yes of course John. He is the antidote to this movement. He doesn't want to have a globalist world. I am surprised because those that are so financially well off are the ones who would want this because to them, guess what, their money is making a profit 24 seven from all the corners of the world.
Secluded, your belief is to your own. And so is mine.
trump is a detail.

a lot of species are extinct already.
humans are maybe going extinct.

a lot of aliens might be extinct. ot will be before we meet a trace

can you really not live life without a greater significance than survival?
A very good question Leno. Of course so many people has progressed well beyond the mood of survival. Our whole world is becoming more and more a product of something way over and above survival existence. We have achieved so much that so many people already has forgotten the stone age era and the beginning of life. Read Fortuna Fix and it boggles your mind.
Yes and that is the beauty of living in a world where we can be who we are and live anyway we want however we want to as long as it doesn't harm others. Isn't that wonderful?
Here is a lot of different opinions, but the only comment, that is close to my understanding is Nams comment:

"Geared To Be Able To Understand".

It is very clear, that there is a "MIND",that created all,but as Nam says our mind is not on the level to understand the whole concept of it.......with all respect,I read trough the Bible when I was 17-18 years old and I understood immediately, that that God was not for me.....if something is Holy,it is not filled with Human like weaknesses ......so I can not believe in a God,not call it a God,but I understand, that whole the perfectness, how all is working,is telling clearly, that there has to be a Super MIND behind it.......and we can not be alone in this Universe, there have to be a lot of other intelligent beings in other places,on higher levels and on lover levels, and for sure not so much like what we are,and already from that point of looking, what kind of Gods do they have,or do they have at all.....but sure, they can think too and see the reality, that there has to be a 'MIND" behind everything.
A most enlightening post you presented on here Semsu. I am truly glad you are back posting here with us.
The more I think I know, the less I understand (I think there is a quote like this), so yes, there is a Supreme Being, I call him God.
I hope I here waiting for god.wave
I can only hope you will be able to see what you are waiting for S.wave
Although I was the last person or couple to get Married in a church . 6 days later It caught fire. no lie rolling on the floor laughing
Aa, believing in God is one thing and being religious is another thing. I am not religious meaning, set on the rules and indoctrination of the Church. I do give credit to the fact that my beliefs were all from my learning of the Catholic Church. But I don't impose and or require my friends and my family to be in that Church. My belief in God is personal and I believe, we are all entitled to believe or not believe one. Freedom that I relish very much because we are all capable of justifying what we believe or don't believe.

Thanks Aa
Maybe the church burnt because I invited Jehovah's Witnesses to a Catholic Church. Who knows I am very superstitious
That is part of the mystery of believing Swamie, we are given free will to think and decide why it happened. You may never know but that doesn't stop you from believing, does it?
Lindsy I will take that.wave
LJ, and all. I visit all kinds of religious houses, but tend to feel better about some types more than others. My longest sojourn, apart from disastrous Catholic altar boy years, was at a weekly Friends' meeting, where almost nothing was ever said.
I am glad Swamie.wave
Aa, I do love to go to other's temples, churches and house of worship of Gods. I am at awe at the marvels of the structure but what is most memorable is how I feel when I enter them. There are places where I just feel the enormous presence of a good Spirit and I think that is part of the reason why I believe.hug
