Almost daily, I read some comparison to the statistics of the number of influenza deaths compared to coronavirus. That makes me want to question their logic. Oh... there is no logic, so it must be a politically motivated comment.

The last ice age ended approx 25 thousand years ago. How did it end? Well, according to scientific studies, the earth tilted slightly on its axis and as a consequence, the planet began to warm up.
It did not increase in temperature due to cave dwellers driving cars or lorries, or flying aircraft or factories blowing out smoke filled with carbon dioxide or the burning of coal and use of oil fired boilers or exploitation of oil fields.
The climate changed because of nature's interference, not the activities of humans. We cannot overcome how the sun operates or the position of the planet.

Researches in beautiful, value wine country, optical telescope heaven, former Commie, hottie laden Chile,--- are at work using these much more simple biochemical moieties for such. This is now a third approach to vaccine development. To be added to traditional approaches, using RNA and usual lab immunology.

Ya just have to notice things, then form hypotheses, and sometimes to experiment to test them, and thereby developed better theories. The scientific method, over rated, but still of merit. Now and again, usually when nature calls him, sorely delayed by my chasing the hotties here on CS, Bravo won't instantly devour one of the disgusting bone like treats I give him most mornings. Why hide it from me, when the hiding places are never very cryptic, and I am the one who gave it to him? The main hypothesis is that what we see here is a minor retreat to former wild pack behaviors. Even though these may be thousands of generations old, and no longer of much value. If you get the first tasty bone from the kill, better make you and it scarce, especially if the big dog is nearby. But how to test this hypothesis? A theory, a theory, ..... my kingdom for a theory.

I have tried to make silver nanoparticles with silver nitrate, silver, and PVP but it failed. If I add Rit dyes (Wine, etc) to PVP with hot solution 80 degrees C with Potassium Hydroxide a polymer quickly forms. It is not over yet I plan to do more PVP type polymers with cookie cutters in a few months to make 2D-3D shapes.

When White urethane paint is added the Methylene blue that turned Purple goes bright yellow was NOT expecting that but it is cool.

...Sure, we see it often, in attempts to feel better about themselves, and just a bit better than the great unwashed deplorables. As I've written, there is likely to be racism, deep seated or otherwise, at varying levels, in all of us. From an evolutionary standpoint, it's likely hardwired into the primate genome, from countless generations of the successful immediately recognizing, and quickly dispatching, 'The Other".
