THE MEANING OF LIFE

What should be the most important question ever asked is, What is the meaning of life?
Why are we here? Who put us here? What put us here? Is there any plan for our existence? What is the point of all the species of creatures that have existed on our planet. From Dinosaurs to modern day humans. Why the predatory nature of animals. The savagery. The wars between people. The billions of stars and planets that exist but are uninhabitable.
You could say that the whole universe is a kind of chaos. Are we an experiment put here to see how we cope?
I know that I think a great deal about this dilemma we are in, but can see no real sensible logical reason why this whole existence came to be.
Wouldn't it have been better not to have started this world and no one would ever have experienced the drama that has unfolded since it's beginning? Or is there a serious plan behind the whole conception?

Space and the wonders of the universe

Facts from science.

Right now, in this very moment, we are all traveling through space — and space is only some 62 miles from the surface of our planet. Earth revolves around the sun at around 66,000 miles per hour. That’s pretty quick, but it pales in comparison to the speed of the sun, which orbits the Milky Way in one galactic year (about 225 million Earth years) at about 483,000 miles per hour. Still not fast enough? Well, the Milky Way itself is traveling at an astounding 1.3 million miles per hour.

We are all, therefore, traveling through space at an incredible speed, with everything we know and love held in place by gravity. Space and the wider universe, however, largely remain a mystery. Only in recent decades have we even begun to venture beyond our own atmosphere, beginning in 1961 when cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin became the first human in space.

Since then, space exploration has progressed rapidly, and humanity becoming a space-faring civilization — at least to other planets in our solar system — is now a real possibility. As Carl Sagan said in the 1980s, “We have lingered long enough on the shores of the cosmic ocean. We are ready at last to set sail for the stars.”

The concept is mind-boggling and majestic, intimidating and inspiring. It’s no surprise, then, that space has long been the subject of much wonder and speculation in the minds of people from all walks of life. Here are some quotes on the majesty of space, from philosophers, scientists, science fiction writers, astronauts, and beyond. astounding 1.3 million miles per hour.

"If it is good enough for them, it is good enough for everyone."

...key word there "everyone."

The exact phrase I was thinking we would most likely hear when it comes to the vaccine being administered to front line workers. However, as far as I understand, front line workers will be required to take the vaccine. I have friends that are working in hospitals and such...and they tell me that they must take vaccines in order to be allowed to work.

So that phrase is misleading...making it sound like front line workers are lining up volunteering for it. It is more like, if you want to keep your job, you are going to take this vaccine.

I just heard those exact words from a guy being interviewed on Fox news.

What is Reality? – Part3 (Logic and Physical Sense Experience)

A closer examination of the various aspects of socially-accepted concepts of sense-experience reality mentioned previously reveals the presence of two basic underlying factors: reliance upon the experience of the physical senses and the use of Aristotelian logic. This logic is used in an attempt to extend the range of physical sense-experience through speculation to areas where techniques are not yet available to enable actual physical sense experience. Essentially, therefore, the socially-accepted concepts of sense-experience reality mentioned may be considered to be based almost exclusively on physical sense-experience, either directly or indirectly.

By its very nature, Aristotelian logic must necessarily view a unified whole as fragmentary parts, make observations about these parts and then attempt to link these observations, and thereby obtain an explanation of the whole. The accuracy of the explanation arrived at is dependent not only upon the accuracy of the observations, which are themselves limited in their accuracy due to physical sense limitations, but also upon whether or not all properties of the fragments have been observed. It may be impossible for us to ever know whether or not all properties of the fragments have been observed since it appears the more we widen the range of our physical sense-experience through scientific research, technology, etc., the more we realize how much there is yet unknown. Thus unless we can be 100% certain that we have accurately observed all the properties of all the fragmentary parts of a unified whole, and it seems unlikely that we can ever be, we can never really be certain that a conclusion based on the process of logical reasoning is accurate.

The past and the present illustrate the above-stated fact only too well. In many cases, our scientific experts deduced logically through the data available at that time, that certain chemicals and processes were harmless to humanity and assured us of their safety. Yet today, we are faced with the tragic effects of certain medically prescribed drugs which actually damaged the health of persons who used them, environmental pollution and other ugly monsters that humankind has created.
