Just venting

The saga of the watch and lies.
My watch needed a new battery simple you think but no, because its used for diving (which I haven't done for years) it has to go back to the Swiss watch maker for not only a new battery but for new seals and testing that if doesn't leak at depth. No surprise there as this happens approximately every six years.
Now the fun starts, it'll be 4 weeks, hmmm that's a little longer than usual, but go with the flow. After 6 weeks I ring for where is it. To be told well I don't know who told you 4 weeks, well you did as your the only person In the shop who speaks english, yes I do speak French which he'd told me was very good, but he insisted on english now that threw him and he'd find out and ring me back.. A week later he rang to say the watch maker had just come back from 4 weeks holiday ???? They've had it for 7 and he says they haven't the parts.
So in my mind now there is only one watch maker in Europe and the place where this, not rare watch was manufactured does not have the spare parts it knows if will need.
Today he rings to say its ready and cannot understand why I just started laughing. Yes in the space of a week its come back from Switzerland, New battery and tested. REALLY.
What springs to mind is lier Lier pants on fire. How to translate that one.
Vent over rolling on the floor laughing

Essentials

Most of us have different ideas on what is essential. At the moment only essential shops are open, in the super market aisles are taped off, toys and underwear but you can buy elastic, probably incase of the elastic going in your old knickers, you can buy chocolates lots and lots of chocolates so you can out grow your old knickers, then I noticed the florist was open. So now I can walk round knickerless with a flower stuck up my bum whilst stuffing my face with chocolate.rolling on the floor laughing

The end of the work week was hectic!

Yesterday was a good day, but a bit hectic.

It started off pretty good. Finished the task from Thursday, and starting a new one after that. Then, because they are monsters, the line managers decided that we should pack 200 boxes of items, before lunch. Which we did. So far so good.

I thought to myself, that "it's not gonna get any more hectic.. Is it?".. Boy was I wrong. They drove in 6 (SIX) pallets of items, that we needed to repack. That meant taking them out of the boxes they were in, and transferring them to different boxes. Three of the pallets were done yesterday, while the remaining three are meant for Monday. How long did we have to complete the task? 45 minutes.. That's including taking them off the pallet, open the boxes, load them into different boxes and then transfer those boxes to a different pallet. So me, another guy and the new guy were thinking: "Can we finish those three pallets in 45 minutes?"

We did, but man was the tempo fast. We had a goal of one box every ten seconds, which I feel we achieved. That means we had to fold a box, take the products out of their original box, put them into the box we just folded and down to the tape machine - in ten seconds. The pace was fast and furious, which meant we finished three pallets in 45 minutes.

To make it even better: That new guy, the one I mentioned a few blogs ago, he was not able to keep up. We were too fast for him. The line manager had to send him away to put stickers on things. I felt a strong sense of achievement there. Oh, I have also been renewed for another week there, which I look forward to a lot!

Waiting for the daylight

Well I'm all geared up, ready to go but stuck in third gear waiting on the daylight. In my younger days the dark would not stop me, in these golden years (where gold is more plentiful in urine than $) the dark affects my vision making me uncomfortable to drive, especially when I don't know where I'm going.

I get a kick out of myself and how many times I'm chomping at the bit to drive off and I have to wait on the daylight. It's an ideal time to blog, tidy up, work on a project and listen to music.

Good Morning everyone - I really hope everyone gets to enjoy their day, especiallly all the Super Bowl Fans. Later today my brother and I are having a wings cookoff although neither of us are football fans but the whole rest of the family is. I love fixing football fodder.

Happy New Year!

I hope you had a safe and fun New Years party. Here, nothing major happened. I stayed home, playing video games until 2 am, where I got ready for bed. Laid down at 3 am, fell asleep quickly thereafter.

2024 is going to be a good year. I can feel it. From development at work to more holidays abroad. More concerts. More self-restraint. What do I mean by that?

Well... 2023 was my fattiest year ever, meaning I ate a bunch of fatty foods, which I can feel on myself. So this year, I will try to eat healthier. More salads, less pizzas. I also want to kick the soda habit. At least, I want to cut back massively on my intake of soda. It's definitely not healthy for me. I also want to get my doctor to perform a check on my overall health. That means I have to spend one of my days off to get fully examined, from head to toe. The last time I did that, I was told that my cholesterol was too high, so I am now curious if things have improved or have gotten worse. I also want to figure out why I am so tired all the time, even thought I get 7 hours of sleep every night.

But that's for later this month. Now I just want to enjoy being back at work. Its been a while since I have been working, so it was nice to get back into the grove again. Tomorrow's Wednesday, so we're close to the weekend.

Oh also, on New Years Eve our beloved Queen, much to the shock of everyone, told us that she would intend to step down on the 14th of January, 2024. In other words: Abdicate. Now it's time for Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary to show us what they are made of. I am guessing it'll be a great thing, because they are both loved by a majority of the Danes. Naturally, there are people who would want to abolish the monarchy, but I like it. It's a great tourist magnet for Denmark, plus it's pretty neat to say that I live in an actual kingdom.

"I'll cook you dinner tomorrow. Come to my place at 4 pm, and let's spend some time together!"

An old school friend messaged me that on Friday, because of a Facebook post I made. I am low on funds, and food, and I am getting a payment on Tuesday. So I am stuck eating chicken burger patties, until I can afford something else.

So yesterday, I left for my friends place for some good food and the SpaceX launch! When I arrived, I was immediately placed in the sofa, and then we just hung out. Talking away. it's worth noting, that this isn't a female friend, but a guy I got to know in the 10th grade. Calm down, out there.

Anyway, the food was great, but a bit dry! He has a sous-vide cooker, which he used. It really does give a different taste to the meat. I really need to get one for myself at some point.

I was at his place for about 6 hours, which flew by. Particularly when we were watching the launch, which was fantastic, I might add.

In other news, K is moving into her own place soon. It's gonna be exciting to see the place she has. Also, stay safe in the USA! I have been following the news these past few days, and it's insane what happens there. I am not gonna go into a huge debate over politics and the whole BLM movement. At least not here. I am far more vocal about it on Twitter

This could have ended in a bad way!

Earlier today, while I was going to work, I began to feel weird. Like my bloodsugar was running low. In order to combat that, I ate some pain au chocolat's that I had in my carrier bag. It helped a little, but I was still not feeling my best.

When I arrived at my work, I immediately informed my manager, that I wasn't feeling well, and that things would go at a slower pace today, because of that.

Most managers I have worked with, have told me to suck it up and work through it, but this manager told me that I could take it in my own pace today, since there wouldn't be much for me to do. I was offered a large soda with endless refills, if I wanted that.

The fact is, that if I had decided not to eat those two Yankee bars, and drink that one pineapple soda, I would have had a real possibility of collapsing again. I did it once before at my old job. A day with no sugary things ended up with me collapsing on the floor, so to avoid that, I quickly ate and drank something with a LOT of sugar. After I took my break, where I consumed 5 cheeseburgers and 3 chili cheese tops, I felt back to normal again. That meant that the pace was increasing, and my mood was improving.

I am now at home, relaxing. It's 11.12 pm, so it's almost time to go to bed.

Apart from my lack of sugar, my day went well today. I can feel that I am getting better at my job, and that I am getting closer with the other employees. Roll on march 18th, so I can know if they want me there permanently!

Bargain!

I was paid today, so I did some shopping. Food to last me about fifteen days, and drink to last me.. I dunno, about a month or so.

Oh, and 100 face masks. Two boxes with 50 each. The cost of those masks? $47.98. Bargain, I tell you. Bargain! I will have enough masks for almost two months. Actually I do have to last me two months, because I bought a ten pack, and I still have seven left. So, 57 masks, plus I have some at work as well. Yeah, I will have enough for two months. That saves me time and money. Time because I don't have to run into a shop to buy ten more, and money because.. Well, they are already paid, so I am saving money from that. That, my friend, is a win-win situation.

I also made sure to get more shampoo, since I ran out this morning. So all in all, I am pretty well prepared for the next week or so.

Remember I told you about my current living situation? Well, I found a room close to where I live now. It's 12.5 square meters, which is plenty for me. It's a place with two floors, and I will pretty much get the top floor to myself. I sent a message earlier, so now I wait and see what comes back. Moving in date is on the 1st of October, so if I get it, I will have about a months time to sort out the place I am living in currently. The best thing about it, is that it's literally up the road from my cousin and her husbands place!

Time will tell what will happen!

My friend is coming back!

I mentioned something about a friend of mine who stayed at my place for 2 months. She is coming back on the 25th, for a 4-day stay, which I am extremely excited about.

I noticed some of the comments to that blog. It seemed to suggest that me and her were doing some s*xual stuff. I can tell you right now, that we didn't. We hugged and cuddled, but that's it.

I didn't keep some of her underwear either. She took everything with her, which I am totally fine with. I am not that kind of guy, who gets creepy with his friends. I would never do that to her either, since she is an old friend of mine.

Did I fall for her? Oh absolutely. I still am deeply in love with her, which I have told her. She got red in the face to begin with, but then told me it wasn't mutual - yet. So until that day comes, I am not going to make any form of advancement on her. Because I am a gentleman!

In other news: I had a very interesting phone call yesterday with a company in Amsterdam. They want my skills, so I am now in the process of being recruited there. I don't know yet if I am going to do it. Time will tell.

So for now, I will just play The Witcher 3 and relax!

What a week so far!

I have started a new job this week, at a place called EET Group. They are the leading storage facility when it comes to electronics. We are talking headsets, iPhones, iPads, keyboards and much more. Monday went fine, but with a few errors. Monday evening, I indulged in some chicken, which lead me to get a light food poisoning. I was home the next day, which was the day that R came by. I picked her up from the station, and then we just went home to relax.

Wednesday was not better. I was still feeling the food poisoning, but at least I got some sleep. A lot of sleep. It was nice to sleep in, while having some company.

Today I went back to work, and let me tell you: I am exhausted. I can sleep whenever, and where ever. I just need to get Friday done, and then I can finally sleep in on Saturday. The plan was for R to come tomorrow night, but her movie-shoot was cancelled, so she's probably coming over sometime next week.

So yeah, my week has been a bit rough. The only highlight was seeing R. I don't really feel at ease with my new job. I will give it two weeks. If I don't feel better about it, I am not going to continue with it. It's not nice being there, if I don't like it.
