I do live in the present and don't often sit back reflecting on my life.
We are all human and im sure we all reflect on chapters of our lives ..
Some great,Some bad and some memories that are our best ones.
Weather its a best memory of family,loved ones,lost ones and all of life and love.
Family is most important to me and im sure many peoples best memorys are their children and their family.

I never have been married and i don't have any kids so of course there's no memory to share.
I joined the Royal Australian Navy at 17 years of age..By day 4 i hated everyone and thought id made a huge mistake..It turned out good..
In my 6 years of service i had traveled to so many countries,i had great times,bad times and served in 2 conflicts.
Those 2 conflicts were very scary..1 conflict was so horrific that made me see just what men can do to each other and how heroic men can be under the worst situations.Also bearing witness to what humans do to each other that the press and media harldy showed..I wouldn't want my family to of seen the evil done where i had been..Its something only Veterans can understand..To never want to ever tell those stories to anyone..
And Hollywood movies never can never really get it right..
But i digress..
I recently went to a Navy reunion and had caught up fellow ship mates that i hadn't seen in years.
Though i have kept in touch with many and marched with them on Memorial Day..A.N.Z.A.C Day.
That night we swapped stories,laughed and i hoped that night would never end.
I'm man enough to admit that i shed a few tears listening and sharing stories...Some so bad i had forgotten and most never will be erased..
But we are not war mongers..We were just so young and served our country doing more good.
After that reunion i came home and sat down thinking...
Those guys are like brothers to me and besides the bad things i finally realised that the Navy was the best time of my life..We were young,we treated our bodies like an amusement park on liberty and shared the best times of our lives...

I Wasnt into my trip No More Than 20 Miles when A little bird Didnt Quite Fly High Enough And There Was A Splatter of feathers

In Iowa A School Bus Crashed In To A Cornfield(its A good Thing It was Empty At The Time Id say)
Aalso In Iowa I came Across What was left of a House Scattered All Over The Cornfields That Surround it(Tornado or High Winds)
Ohio has Their version Of The Chain Gang(A bunch of guys Picking up Trash Along The highway Dressed In red And White Suits(With a guard Nearby With A Rifle(If They Run..They Wont get Too far)
On A Secondary Road There Was A Half grown Duck In The medium(You Could see he was looking For Momma(Poor Junior)
Wait til "farmer Brown" Sees What That Herd Of Deer Were Dooing On The Edge of His Soybean Field(I Think he Will be Mad As hell)
And of Course Theres "murphys Law"...I Was trying To get To A Place To Sleep Where Ive never been before..Ir Poured So hard In Iowa That I Couldnt see 10 Feet In front of me(This went on For Miles)Finally I found The truck Stop(And What Do You Think happened?(Yup..It Suddenly It Stopped raining)
And to be fair..I make Mistakes Too...My Qualcom For messages And directions went Down..So I had To get Directions And The Name of The City And State I was Going To next..;I Thought They said "Atlanta Illinois"..So I Went There..Upon Arriving ..There was no Such address..Turns out Theres An "Atlants Indiana" And Thats Where i Was Supposed To go!!
As You can See..We All make mistakes from Time To Time
Only my mistake cost The Company 335 Miles Of Fuel.
(They Understood And i finally arrived At The Consignee 6 hours late..But I Got There
And That Was The Week That Was....

Then The The One Who Was Watching..Does The Exact Same Thing
They Stare At Each other For a moment
Then they Flew away
Im Sure They were communicating
But im left To Wonder What They Were Saying...............................
