Your partner's overweight.

Today I will have a very "greasy" topic to discuss. So, friends, how do you find excess weight attractive and sexy? Is this not acceptable to you? That is, do your partner's larger volumes have extra kissing space for you? Still an obstacle to pleasure?

Why are almost all ships considered 'female'?

Credit to: Rey
Naval Architect & Tech Enthusiast

We always call a ship a ‘she’ and not with out a reason,
For she displays a well shaped stern regardless of the season,
She scorns the man whose heart is faint and does not give him pity,
And like a girl she needs the paint to keep her looking pretty.

For love she’ll brace the ocean vast, be she a tramp ship or liner,
But if you fail to tie her fast you sure that you will lose her,
Be firm with her and she’ll behave, when clouds are dark above you,
And let her take the water wave, praise her and she’ll love you.

For she will take the roughest seas, and angry waves that crowd her,
And in a brand new coat of paint, no girl looks any prouder,
The ship is like a girl at that, she’s feminine and swanky,
You’ll find the one that’s broad and fat, is never mean and cranky.

On ships and girls we pin our hopes, we fondle and love them,
And every man must know his ropes or else he cannot handle them,
Yes, ships are lady like indeed, for take them all together,
The ones that show a lot of speed, can’t stand the roughest weather.

A ship is called a “she” because there is always a great deal of bustle around her; there is usually a gang of men about, she has a waist and stays; it takes a lot of paint to keep her good looking; it is not the initial expense that breaks you, it is the upkeep; she can be all decked out; it takes an experienced man to handle her correctly; and without a man at the helm, she is absolutely uncontrollable. She shows her topsides, hides her bottom and when coming into port, always heads for the buoys.peace

Beautiful People

“Do not let your beauty be that outward adorning....; but let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the incorruptible ornament of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God.” (1Peter 3: 3)

I marvel at how beautiful, and amazingly awesome, babies and toddlers are. I am always captured by their innocence, curiosity, joy and even distress that they can express, usually without much reservation. Their instinctual responses towards others around their age, natural and man-made objects and animals, and sounds, tastes, and textures, are so free of the artificial. With them, God’s awesome power of creation is truly a beautiful thing. They are beautiful on the inside, and the outside.

But I have discovered that babies and toddlers are not the only beautiful people that God has created. I have had cause to marvel at some who are beautiful in spirit, and that, to me, is just as awesome. Babies and toddlers have not had to face the troubles, disappointments and other unpleasant or traumatic experiences that Life generally ‘dishes’ out to older folks, so their innocence and beauty has not been tainted. However, I have been blessed to have met beautiful people whose spirit of joy, peace, compassion, goodness and love was unmistakably obvious, belying any scars that they had received from Life. They make me feel as though I was ‘absent’ when God gave such a gift. :(

I think that, that ability to smile from within, to endure challenges with grace and to put others at ease with the power of one's inner beauty, is really something to aspire to.

LADIES SKIN TIGHT LEGGINGS

Have you noticed this fashion that mainly young ladies have adopted. Skin tight leggings that look as though they have been sprayed on. How do they have the nerve to walk the streets looking as though they are naked from the waist down. It does not hide the cellulite on legs that have not seen any exercise for years. Are they asking for trouble from the opposite sex? I have to shield my eyes and look away. Have they no thought for other people? Should they be banned or an age limit be put on the purchase of these items. Why not just spray paint on your lower half and shave off any visible hair?

uh oh confused

“Supportive” Husband

For one contestant's husband, second place wasn’t enough.
The Miss Gay Mato Grosso 2023 pageant in Brazil on Saturday was interrupted during the crowning ceremony by the husband of the runner-up.
Miss Várzea Grande Emannuelly Belini and Miss Cuiabá Nathally Becker could be seen holding hands on stage as they waited for the winner to be announced.
Right after the winner was announced and a pageant official moved to place the crown on Bellini's head, Becker’s husband stood up on the stage and snatched the crown away, throwing it to the floor.

The man tried to get Becker to leave the stage with him before returning to grab the crown and throw it to the ground. Several audience members could be heard screaming and security eventually stepped in to remove him from the stage.
Pageant organizers released a statement on Instagram on Monday condemning what happened.
“We vehemently condemn the incident that occurred at the time of the crowning of the elected Miss, when the partner of Miss Cuiabá...invaded the stage and aggressively destroyed the crown,” pageant officials wrote in a message translated from Portuguese.
“We would like to inform you that the legal team for our contest has been contacted and will take the appropriate legal measures," officials continued.
“We sympathize with the elected Miss, as well as with the Miss who was in second place, since she is not responsible for...attitudes of third parties,” officials added.Link:People.com

Anarchy Rules

I made this into a virtual t-shirt in SL because I love the irony! Please don't make me explain...

I've grown quite weary of advertising but in a capitalist society, I understand the need. I've created many satire ads for fictitious products under an umbrella company I named SCAMCO. Some were cynical, some silly, some purposefully hypocritical etc. and it was easy to use the most predictable advertising angles to that end, like "4 out of 5 dentists...", "New and improved", "all natural", etc.

I have dish soap that makes this claim: "50% less scrubbing". I'll not go into why that's silly, but I digress...

Ads now look like news stories, or at least try to. South Park devoted an entire episode to it. Some are essentially tabloid click bait. The internet is saturated with it/them. You can hardly hover your mouse over a web page without getting pop-ups!

The irony for me is that the overall quality of advertising is suffering (quality advertising...talk about an oxymoron!). It's downright shoddy in some cases. Bad photoshopped images, bad punctuation and spelling, in a word: unprofessional...which (finally) brings me to the point of this nonsense.

We're now getting more ads here and one of them jumped out at me NOT because I have any interest in the product, but because the hand model's fake nails are...

What defines beauty...

I went to high-school with a girl who was 'scary ugly' and we made cruel jokes about her looks "She was so ugly, her parent's had to tie a pork chop around her neck just to get the family dog to play with her"
Southern humor, I know.
Around the time we were in college she was driving a luxury sports car. Coming from a middle-class family, everyone took notice. Her looks changed, but not from the ugly duckling to a swan. She was still 'very unusual' and the story was she became a fashion model. That 'look' was marketable.
At that point any local guy who wanted to date her... didn't have a chance.
What defines beauty?
