End of My Dream

I know my dream will end
Fall down like a petal from a flower
I know this dream will fly away
When it get its wings
I know my dream on you will be dusted
As all my dreams did
I know I have to let you go
When your nest is ready
I can’t hold you in my heart
As it’s a cocoon so small
I need to give you my wings
Wind from my sail
I would do that for you
Though my dreams will die
Without air to breath
Wings to fly
Blown away in the winds of time
I have to let you go
Liberate you from my cage of love
As I realize that
True love is giving wings
Though my dream die at the end

Song In Your Eyes

Sing me that song,
A song without words
A song without sound
The song in your eyes
A song for my heart
A song you and I know,
A song that helped me dream
A song that built my castle
I always listened to makes me cry,
Missing you whole of my heart,
Knowing that you will not return,
Sing me that song,
A song helped me forget pains,
A song of forgiveness,
Just sing that sons song,
A song without words
A song without sound
The song in your eyes
A song with all melodies
A song so memorable,
A song that is inspiring
Sing me that song,
A song that we will love,
A song we can not live with out,
Just sing me that song,
A song without words
A song without sound
A song that only you and I know.
The song in your eyes

let go my dreams

Let go my dreams
As I watch it crumble to dust
And stand in its shattered self

Readily do I sit in solitude weeping
Grieving the severance of my hopes
Without ever speaking of how I
Claw open the eyes of those dreaming

As I dream and look for meaning
And watch as it turn to dusk
Standing around its majestic ruin

Hoped are waning
Inevitable that it should happen again
But have I not also spoken
Words to the effect of causing an end
As they watch it crumble to dust
And stand in its majestic ruin

There is no puzzle to be a part of
And I am a key which fits in no lock
Forgive my passion my love
Forgive my love for you
It is a blessing and a curse
At times it was hard to contain

The rush of love and fear of losing
Can drown the one I hold so dear
Forgive my dreams on you
It's abandoned now
I'll try to tame my love
To keep you by my side
Protecting you from its pain
Forgive my love for you
It is a blessing and a curse

Dance with me

Dance me through this life
Walk me through the memories
That time stood still
Truth came to be known
A desire from within
Want to be lost in your arms

Dance me slowly
Kiss me kiss me deeply
Fill this this dance floor
with Passion stirring deep
Laughter in your eyes
the heart full of love
Want to be lost in your eyes

Dance me to the last steps
As sadness consumed the soul
For tomorrow would never come
Longing to be near
Yet distant and apart
Want to lost in this world with you
Dance with me until
I am lost in you

My Heart told

I told my heart bring happiness in life.
I told my heart bring smiles in life.
I told my heart bring colors in life.
I told my heart bring celebrations in life.
I told my heart bring life in life.
My heart told me to bring you in my life

the balance

I cried again last night, I felt so alone
my damaged spirit recalling memories past
thoughts of my parents, long since dead
of my little girl, who has grown up so fast
all the mistakes that I've made, continue to make
friends that I have as well as those I have lost
I can see smiling faces and hear their laughter
but my best friend eludes me, I can't pay the cost
should one give their heart in exchange for their soul?
is the price too dangerous, too dear?
to receive pleasures far beyond this world
this is what haunts me, driving my fear
each new day brings me more questions
and each night I shed yet more tears
I seem only to be digging deeper
as I fall further away with the years
can a woman's love become shattered?
that she could never forgive an old friend
has the foundation below become rotted?
that the cold and the anger can't end
is the saving of face all important?
compared to the joy that awaits
can we open our hearts, draw ourselves in?
is it over, are we too late?
I still want you, do you still want me?
show me the way if you should agree
time passes quickly, our lives may end
my dream, forever, as your best friend

Hopeful in this Christmas night

I remember your hands
holding mine in that frozen night
As we sat on a lonely bench
And how you kissed my cheek
Your love touching my heart
like the melody of the Xmas song
Stars above and brightness in your eyes
Filling our heart with
the kindness of a stranger
the eagerness of the lonely
a sort of kindled hope
that settles upon our soul
a hope for understanding
at the end of the night.
It was warm between us.
You and me.
a hope for the strength of heart
And I hope we haven't lost that
I hope we haven't become something colder,
something lost.
As this Christmas night falls so does
my head upon the pillow of dreams
where i sleeps alone
in an empty bed nade up of hopes
on which lies my solitary heart
I still hear that Christmas song
deep inside my heart
could see the stars
but missing the brighness of your eyes
and the warmth of your kiss
In this frozen night
ButI hope that even in the midst
of everyone else,
there will always be
you and me

JimNastics arrives in Florida !

Hello gang. I just wanted to let all those that wondered, I arrived safely in Florida.

In the past, I drive straight through from NJ to Florida, or perhaps take two days at most . But, this time I decided to take a more leisurely pace and see some of the sights. Thus, I visited 2 swamp wildlife preserves in South Carolina and two in Georgia on the way to Florida.

In SC I ran into a Cottonmouth (Water Moccasin). I got some terrific photos of that fat venomous viper. Indeed, if I wasn't looking at my path at the time, I might have stepped right on him. There was a narrow dirt path and on either side was water. It was a crazy set-up for gator territory and perhaps helped explain why several buzzards chose to circle above me for quite a while. laugh I also photographed some turtles and some butterflies there. I heard, but did not see, 2 alligators (different times) going into the water about 30 feet from me. That was more than a bit scary.

However, while I was in GA, I did get photographs of a female gator who was a mere 12 feet from me. She was in the water and I was on dry land. I had my route of retreat planned out, but thankfully, she did not charge. Now, how often do you know of a female not charging ? Visa ? Mastercard ? American Express? laugh

I arrived here in Florida at about 11:30 pm on Saturday and am now attempting to download the drivers necessary for my compact flash card reader and my portable hard drive. My mom's old computer recognizes neither. This is a Windows 98 Dell laptop that I bought for her several years ago. She never could get the hang of it, despite hours of instructions and even writing things down step by step.

The weather here is gorgeous. It was 83 F. on Sunday and it's been partly sunny every day. I'm getting a ton of work done on my mom's home; repairs & maintenence. I am at the library now in an effort to post this blog to update those who care.

My sister and her family are supposed to meet us in about 20 minutes, so I'm going to sign off for now. I hope you all are doing well !! Big hugs applause & Merry XMas !! Jim

sophie

and so I dallied about with my jewel
fully realizing that I was merely a fool
to dare to dream of one so young
made little difference, for I was stung

a lithe gentle spirit gave me such start
it wasn't venom that filled my heart
but pure golden nectar flowed through my veins
blinded by beauty, clouding my brain

oh, to hold this living vision of heaven
all I could do, not to think it a sin
her childlike glory, she welcomed me in
beckoning, calling, again and again

I had little caution of what this meant
to dance with a bloom of the orient
but dance I did, moving about
in the throes of passion was made to shout

she brought me so deep into the light
forgot where I was, it felt so right
we held one another as tight as one can
she made me forget I was just an old man

it seems that love knows little of age
distances, past, it does not gauge
for me, her smile, her touch, it flatters
I learned that now is what really matters

POLTERGEIST THE UNSSEN

in the still of the night a presence out of sight
lingers in waiting anticipating.
It's statically charged powerful source its force
unprecedented antagonistic in its speed it will feed on your mind.
Ornaments plates on a shelf top high fly
randomly erratically in orbited space no person no face.
so so close it could touch your hair yet there's nobody there.
Glasses smash into tiny pieces particles shatter scatter
into four corners of a room.
this formidable foe that just won't go.
Whooshing sounds accompany round and about
you've got to run got to get out .
The doors slam open-shut but there's no pyhsical being
to believe what your eyes are now witness to seeing.
Lights flicker on and off of their own making taking
you to the very echelons of dread as this living dead reaps havoc.
Then silence the stillness dare you breathe out
allowing a scream or a pitiful shout.
The entity has passed you now hope it is gone
disintegrating and dispersing from whence it came from.
Why it picked you that remains a mystery
maybe your building is shrouded in history.
This whirlwind apirition it came to be
left trailing in its wake only broken debris

opologies to anyone who has encountered such a force
these are my usual musings yay
