WEALTH+DESIRE FOR CONTROL=POWER

In a democracy, those who have greater wealth are able to achieve more or less what they desire. If they wish to become a president or prime minister, they can afford to hire the best people to promote their cause. If they have committed any civil or criminal acts, they can usually pay off those who have suffered or been inconvenienced. They have the best lawyers. In the USA, you would think that such a large and powerful country would have the talent available to provide the best leadership. The talent is no doubt there, but without the wealth, achievement to a high status is difficult or impossible.
The best USA can offer is Donald Trump and Joe Biden. The former will no doubt become president again. The alternative choice is someone who appears to have difficulty with his faculties. Forgetful, sometimes looks in a trans like state, unsteady on his feet.
Should the electoral system change and end the wealthy only candidates? Replace with a public funded arrangement with the best qualified individuals chosen?
In an autocracy, if you have wealth and desire power, and if you finance the right people, eg. Police, military, and gather round you a group who like the idea of power themselves, and the freedom to use it, even if it means the use of intimidation and violence to assist them. Elections are never needed or are rigged to achieve the desired result. Examples of this can be found in China, North Korea, Russia and Iran.
Difficult to ever change this form of power, unless the people revolt and risk their lives in the process.
Democracy takes bravery.

Loyalty pledge...

The Republican National Committee (RNC) required a loyalty pledge from the 2024 presidential candidates to endorse the party's nominee and to be allowed on the debate stage. Trump declined to sign and didn't participate (directly) in any of the debates.

Nikki Haley is the last GOP candidate standing against Trump and said she no longer feels bound to pledge her support for Trump if he becomes the nominee.
Stated in an interview that aired this past Sunday on NBC's show Meet The Press, Haley said: “The RNC is now not the same RNC,” adding “I'll make what decision I want to make."

Hang in there Haley... Trump was found guilty of defamation, corporate corruption and is teetering on insurrection, theft of classified documents and an attempt to overturn the Georgia election.

Who knows, if he goes to jail you will become the Republican nominee with a chance to win the 2024 election against Sleepy Joe. At that point... they will be asking your pledge to pardon Trump's sentence.

WORLD DIVIDED

The world we live in appears to be split between autocracies and democracies. Western Europe and USA on the one side, and Russia, Iran, China and North Korea dominating the other side.
Can this situation ever change or are we going to see this continuous threat to civilization and the ultimate consequence being war between the nations? Is it any use trying to discuss issues with regimes that have such extreme rigid views either politically or religious? If the world continues on this course, we are heading for disaster.

Taking your secret to the grave...

Last month, Orenthal James Simpson aka O.J. Simpson passed away as a result of prostate cancer. Many people hoped he would clearly admit the killing of Nicole Brown and Ronald Goldman. Suspicions were he didn't actually do it, but was there when it happened.
He took that secret to the grave.

The prosecution bungled the case and in some way (as in the glove not fitting) O.J. was found not guilty. It was an all or nothing case and they got nothing.

I said this before... all the emphasis was to go after O.J. and they didn't seek other avenues.

Years ago, I read an article that cast suspicion on his son Jason. He was strong enough, had issues with alcohol and drugs, suicidal, anger disorder, history of violent behavior, attacking former girlfriends. Was he there that night when the murders occurred?

O.J. took that secret to the grave...

In the video below, fast forward about 22 minutes and see information about Jason.
Was it possible? I think it was.

RFK Jr's brain...

It's old news now that doctors have found a dead worm in RFK Jr's brain. He complained of memory loss and it's confirmed it was a parasite that ate a portion of his brain and later died. The worm that is.

RFK Jr claims he's okay now, but I'm thinking the part that the worm ate had to do with his logic function.

Senator John Kennedy doesn’t care anymore who the puppeteer is behind mumbling joe.

Leave it to Biden to nominate a man who hates America, celebrates people who kill cops, oh yeah, and who also hates Jews to be a federal judge. By now, this administration should have figured out that nominating people based on which woke boxes they check off is a mistake. But they have not because you know, they're Democrats.

And Biden is nothing more than a Botox-filled puppet doing the bidding of someone else; we don't even feel the need to adjust our tinfoil saying that at this point.

Someone thought nominating Adeel Mangi was a good idea.

Someone was wrong.

Sen. John Kennedy ain't havin' none of it. Watch:

Adeel Mangi is not qualified to be a federal judge because he supports organizations that celebrate people who kill law enforcement officers, hate Americans, and hate Jews.

It’s not Islamophobic to recognize that. It’s our job.

Ready to Mingle! Join Now to browse Singles!

I cannot recall having the desire to mingle.
Probably 25 years ago, I was on POF and the woman I was dating suggested we go to their dating site advertised meeting at a local restaurant to 'mingle' but my thought was "If we were dating, why would there be a need to mingle?"

Okay, some people like to socialize... I get that, but the meeting wasn't organized. I expected an announcer or someone to greet the members, as they say 'break the ice' with introductions, expectations, locations... maybe not name tags with profile names, but something to actually attract people to converse as a starting point.
Instead, it was some guys or girls who came alone or with a friend and didn't really mingle.
Unsuccessful at best.

Matchdoctor had a small group of members who were on the forums and successfully had a few meet & greet events that worked. I went to one and to my surprise met some nice folks!

One lady was 20 miles from me and working in health care. She was accepted to a nursing program in Alaska and relocated. We messaged a few times and after a few years I lost contact with her.

Hopefully, she found what she was looking for... thumbs up
