I will never fly on a Boeing again.

Most intelligent people must have thought about the origin of humans and all the other creatures that exist on planet earth floating amongst the billions of stars and planets in the universe (s). They may have settled on a particular viewpoint, but remain open to other possibilities, which is an essential position to take. It would be interesting to learn the views of others who may reveal things that some of us had not considered.
This is an opportunity to share your ideas. You may one day be proved right.

Maybe our ancestors originated on Mars, but left due to a nuclear war.
Maybe our planet was hit deliberately using meteors with all the necessary elements to seed life. Including DNA to define creatures characteristics.
Maybe we are monitored by extra terrestrial beings who adjusted our genetic code to improve the species.
Maybe certain individuals were given special knowledge to benefit society.

I hope that whoever becomes leader in the forthcoming USA and UK elections will show leadership with regard to the situation between Russia and Ukraine. The signs are that if Trump wins he may not look favourably on continuing the supply of finance and weapons to Ukraine. This would put great pressure on the outcome of the war.
Whoever becomes UK prime minister ( unlikely to be Sunak ), I hope he will stand up in support of Ukraine and be persuasive to the President that America must show solidarity in that country's fight for freedom.

April 20th is a 'sorta' celebration day for many who smoke weed. Taking a toke at 4:20 on 4/20 is a ritual that got started long ago... I think it was a meeting time after school for some teenage kids that caught on. Every day at 4:20 ritual.

I worked for a guy who in the interview asked if I was 420 friendly. I responded with "Huh?"
He said "Do you burn?" (by then I was catching on to his questioning) "burn what?" was my reply.

Independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. warned that central bank digital currencies (CBDCs) pave the way for an authoritarian government in America similar to Europe and the Chinese communist regime.

“I’m against central bank digital currencies because that is part of the path to getting us where China is today. That’s where they started, that’s where all these other countries started with central bank digital currency, and it’s the end of freedom. We will be slaves if we allow that to happen,” Mr. Kennedy said during a March 22 event. He pointed to the Canadian trucker’s protests to explain why CBDCs were dangerous for freedoms. The Canadian government portrayed the truckers “as right-wing, fascist, and racist” when they were not, he said.

“The government used facial recognition systems and other intrusive technologies to identify the participants, all the truckers. They got their license plates, etc. And then they froze their bank accounts. So they couldn’t get diesel for their trucks, they couldn’t buy food for their kids, they couldn’t pay for their education, they couldn’t pay their mortgages.”

“As your president, I will never allow the creation of a central bank digital currency. Such a currency would give the federal government absolute control of your money,” he said. “This would be a dangerous threat to freedom and I will stop it from coming to America.”

In a July 2023 video, Brexit leader Nigel Farage highlighted the dangers of government control over currencies. “The ultimate fear is if we get CBDCs, we could finish up like the Canadian truckers, people who were within the law, found themselves outside the law and had their bank accounts frozen. Controlling people’s money would be the ultimate form of tyranny.”

Several key international figures admitted that CBDCs will allow for greater control over people’s finances.

During a seminar back in 2020, Agustin Carstens, general manager of the Bank for International Settlements, pointed out that “we don’t know who’s using a $100 bill today, and we don’t know who’s using a 1,000-peso bill today.”

The key difference with the CBDC is “the central bank will have absolute control on the rules and regulations that will determine the use of that expression of central bank liability, and also we will have the technology to enforce that,” he explained.

No more cbdc or wokeness for a healthier planet. Praise God.

The reason, particularly in Islamic beliefs that women should cover their hair, is to prevent men from succumbing to a s*xual desire at the sight of a head of hair. If women believe in this and the possible outcome, then why do they in most cases make their faces look as attractive as possible with make up, including lip stick etc, but still cover their heads? Do they wish to look attractive or not?

Currently they are having jury selection for Trump's hush money trial. 7 jurors were selected and I passed a TV showing one was removed. They need 6 more and 6 alternates.
I haven't been selected for jury duty in more than 40 years and yesterday I was thinking "What are the possibilities to get into the selection pool?"
That would be awesome to fly to New York City today and first thing tomorrow morning catch someone who looks like me... offer him cash to borrow his identification and get into the room for jury selection.
That's less than 5% probability to get that far... Okay, less than 3%

I didn't follow the sports career of Brittney Griner and didn't know why she captured so much media attention, before during or after her detainment in a Russian prison. She was found carrying a small amount (less than one gram) of hash oil, legal in her home state of Arizona and the United States with a prescription, but illegal in Russia.

I read today, the standard sentence in Russia of less than 2 grams is 15 days. Brittney, received 9 years and a fine of a million rubles, equal to about $16,300 USD.

Her release was through a prisoner exchange. Russia gets arms dealer Viktor Bout and America gets Brittney Griner.

Since the exchange, I've read she's back to professional basketball, making TV appearances and doing a book about her life.

Yahoo! Entertainment did (another) story about her and the reader comments were less than supportive. Some of my thoughts may have been the same to the excerpts I read that were important to what the public believes:

She played in the Olympics and should have known about drug possession.

It is illegal to possess at an US airport and illegal to transport across US international boundaries by air.

Thanks for us having to send back a real criminal to get you out. Keep your drug paraphernalia out of your suitcase

She was sentenced to NINE YEARS. Russia was clearly using her as a pawn in its proxy war with the USA.

She had traveled to and from Russia several times, she knew the law. Thinking she was above the law is what got her put in that prison. Did she learn anything, that's the question.

Just remember, we traded the Merchant of Death for this person.

An American citizen faces up to 20 years in a Russian jail for reportedly giving US$50 (NZ$80) to an organisation raising money for the Ukrainian army.

Ksenia Karelina has been charged with “high treason” after being arrested by the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) in the central Urals city of Yekaterinburg.

The 33-year-old is the latest American to be locked up in Russia amid concerns Vladimir Putin is using detained foreign nationals as bargaining chips.
