gininitaly: Looks like I stuck my foot in it again .

Why? I don´t think you have at all!

I´m very surprised that anybody would feel they were being ignored or not welcome on this forum.

We always go out of our way to welcome new people and try to include them in our little family here.

However, we´ve all had moments when we seem to be the only person here, talking to ourselves, and nobody responds to our posts crying That´s one of the differences between here and the Int.F, there is always somebody online over there due to the various time differences of the members.

vinny1967: I have been on the site 6/7 months now and I would just like to ask people in the EU Forums are the happy with the EU forums ?

From my experience no new people actually seem to join in.....

I have posted occassionally and a lot of the posts seem to be ignored...............which is no biggie really for me.........I could care less truthfully........

But do people feel afraid to join in because it seems to be the same few people.........

Do the regulars want more people to join in......

Jus wondering........

Hi Vinny,
there are some nice regulars '' SMOKY'' and Wedward.they do answer even stupid comments like mines...
I am reading your thread very careful, because it is something that's I was thinking about before. EU forums seems to be a place for regulars. I do write sometimes, but I am not sophisticated at all. my comments are
just ignored most of the time. lake last night...and more before. I try not to get upset about this, then it this is a very special society...
on your question '' Do regulars want more people to join in...'' my answer based on my experience here is '' no''
perfectly happy ''regulars'' between them selfs

Nayobi, you're wrong...these threads are entirely spontaneous, and there is fat less of a "clique" here than in the Int threads...it's just like any bar you would go into...the locals tend to chat together....if you buy a beer, hang about, and join in, before you know it, you have become a regular....it's just like real life...

Here, have a beer,

...and behave, ok?..cheers laugh

Jan1305: Yubba, you don´t get ignored here, nor Nayobi, I enjoy reading posts made by both of you. When were you ignored last night Nayobi?

However, I´ve noticed you never quote who you are replying to Yubba, so if you do get ignored, maybe that´s why.

dunno

Nayobi,no I don't remember that....but what you have to remember like a golden rule is this: you cannot afford to take comments made here to heart...for one thing, it's just digital...you will never ever meet the majority of the people that you correspond with anyway, so why get emotional about it?...and secondly, this is a text medium....there is no inflection..misundertsandings are rife...don't read between the lines and get the wrong impression. And you cannot be offended when your post does not get a responding comment....half the sutff I post to the International threads gets ignored...so what??....it doesn't bother me in the least...here....have another beer.cheers

gininitaly: Well I'm about 3 weeks new in these forums....but I just butt in cause I'm a Yank and we have no manners. I flail often with Brit humor and tend to be too earnest for them, but I cowgirl up just the same ... because I'm nosey and have a big mouth .

I have found that on other forums in dating sites, that only a very small minority of the whole site posts their thoughts. Some people just aren't comfortable writers or want to get to know others in a friendly way... guess they just wanna date . I like forums and have made some good friends that way over the years ... altho we are scatter hither and yon, you find some people who 'get' you in the strangest places and that's fun!

So my advice is.... just do it! .... after all what can they do, come and throw eggs at your windows?

In reply to nayobi´s dunno emoticon response to my previous post.

You see, misunderstanding posts is so easy as Lago has already said.

I was answering both you and yubba, so maybe it was confusing.
Your original post said you were ignored last night and I asked you when.

doh Because you said you were ignored here last night and I wanted to read where it happened for myself.
