I agree with you. What you say here reflects the kind of personality or character you have, whether you're here for dating, talking or otherwise. One way or another, one immediately sees what category one person is in. The diversity just all the more makes it interesting to come here and interact with all kinds of people.

Oh, no, no. I love reading you. It's very inspirational and I picked up a lot of good ideas I could apply in real life. And you are so right on in your analysis and in your perception on a lot of things. They are all serious stuff that are so seriously taken by me and I'm sure a lot of people here. But I'm glad to see that you are now also posting some light comments and enjoying the fun.

Thanks, that's nice to hear! Well in reality I can be both profound and silly, but I do take serious things seriously and so striking the balance in relation to other people is not always easy. It's good to find that there are certain people around a lot though, I think that getting to know a group helps a lot rather than just posting among a huge bunch of strangers!

Hi guiri, heavens no, not at all. Of-course I don't think it is impossible to be single and content at the same time. I certainly am, and so are many others here. I don't need a man to complete me, though there are aspects of my life that would be enhanced if I were to have a special man in my life.
I don't know the stats, but online is just another way of meeting people. Anything can happen, anywhere. I think, online as in RL, the more one reaches out, and we communicate with other people, and be yourself (listening, rusty???), take up opportunities available to us, create our own, then that is the most we can do. Online, that might mean post on forums, start threads, send flowers, essentially to initiate contact in some way, then the rest follows, one way or another.
For those who are here for dating, then in this manner, they heighten their chances of meeting someone. As long as people continue to live their lives as usual, then it ensures they remain interesting to the outside world as well as online.
rusty_knight: if you are both fairly literate I think writing gives away a lot about your character - people CAN disguise their true personalities at first, but only for so long!
How true, rusty. I place great emphasis on what and how a person writes. I love nothing better than intelligent banter using the written word. Beyond this, however, the written word then needs to supported by the spoken word. I prefer a man with whom I can talk about anything, and one who can keep a conversation going, without me dragging information out of him. Anyway, this will do for now.
