Y'all need to look up MS13 to see their weapon of choice.... they hacked up a bus load of women and children.... but you choose to see only what you want to, so don't even bother looking. Just sit back living off your trust fund and hide in your little world.

I don't agree with RocketQueen all that often, but am with her on this one. A knife or sword or machete can do a lot of damage, but no where near as much as a gun can. And with a knife, sword or machete a group of people have a better chance of fighting back than a group of people faced with an automatic weapon!

Whooops: Perhaps it should start at home with parents teaching by example ? I realised my question was aimed at a culture where guns are your right but that's not the same in the UK, we have problems of course, but not to the same extent and perhaps that's because our culture is different and non accepting of guns parse ? I should have expected the sarcasm but i thought it was a serious debate about how can we reduce mass shootings and it was just a suggestion, a talking point ?
My father kept his guns in the closet and us kids were taught gun safety by him, in Scouting and Hunter Safety course. If we ever touched his guns without permission, we were in big trouble
One of the things that was there that isn't now, is the right of a parent to discipline their children the way they see fit. My parents didn't believe in hitting us but we knew they could if we did something wrong. Today, you attempt to hit a child and social services gets called in
Some seem to think that just because someone gets mad, the guns are pulled. These situations are few and far apart
I've said it before and I'll say it again, gun bans DO NOT work (statistics prove it). We need stiffer penalties for the use of a deadly weapon in a crime.
