I love my 9. I think it's important for women, especially single women to know how to shoot and at the very least be comfortable with guns.

That was not my point and yes you're right there still would be wars and murders but don't you think it could lower the percentages

This American citizen agrees with you, John. The pretty boys and goddy two shoes are killing our country.

Different cultures breed different ideologies about guns. Different countries that have not had the "right to bear arms" don't miss it because its something they never had or really pondered. I think here in America, it is more of an issue because it is something we do have and something that the gov't can threaten to take away from us. Kind of like a child that has never had candy, doesn't know what it's like to have it, but the child that has had candy, doesn't want to have it taken away.

In a sense, as odd as it sounds, a part of the American culture is threatened. Yes it isn't food, water or air or something of neccesity, but it is something that we've always had, which is why we fear not having it.

Its a proven fact, not just Aostralia, but all over the world, that an unarmed citizenry get preyed on worse than an armed one.

I definitrly agree with that J.D., the lack of respect is incredible.
