I think like you! I am a hopeless romantic and think that love knows no distance and cultural differences only enhance the experience. It can work if you both put in the effort to make it work. That being said...it is hard and there are alot of challenges that come with long distance relationships and you have to go into being prepared for those challenges. Yes, no doubt in my mind about it.
My Parents, from two different Europen Countries met, and were Married two years later....got along better than ever, learned each others languages. Living VERY far away from both Countries that they came from too!
I am very fortunate to have had Parents who NEVER had one single argument or fight..a very calm and decent Childhood and Adolecence, which I appreciate till this day!
