Being ill is one thing, but sometimes even when ill, it does not give a person a licence to be nasty. And hide behind that, part of any recovery will include looking at the triggers that make him react and come out with these things.

I had to tell him that Rusty Robert and Lagoony had a little reparté on his thread and he had a good laugh.
And I also told him about Breezee getting married - which cheered him up ... I left him chuckling happily to himself.
Oh yes, the operation is now scheduled for Friday morning.

My best friend just had it done too (here in Zurich) and he says he feels younger and fitter than he has in 20 years!!
Just get through this and you'll love how you feel once recovered!! I'm told its well worth it!

Good evening everyone on EU forum
Conrad phoned me this evening (I been out all day) to say his op is at 11am tomorrow morning after which he`ll be in Intensive Care for 2 days. The surgeon will phone his parents tomorrow at 5pm to tell them how it went. And then I will phone his parents on Saturday morning to find out .... and report back here.
My pc was not on when he phoned, so was unable to read out all the names and messages posted lately ... but told him there were many more .. PLUS - at last count this morning - 35 from the International Forum!
He must be busy chasing nurses down the corridors as I been unable to get thru to his number now, but will keep trying .... and read out the names of all those from JoJo down to the Green Tassels ... unless there are more after her..........
I think all your messages have been good for his spirit and he always chuckles when I read them to him. Strange guy ... I read the handle name and he knows exactly which country each of you are from!
Anyway, in case I not here tomorrow (unlikely) then on Saturday I will post the news from his parents on how the operation went, okay?

I just tried to phone Radders.....the line rang engaged for a long time, and then was directed to reception....a very charming, but highly efficient swiss miss on the other end told me that Radders is not available at the moment....the nurses are throwing him an impromtu bedpan party (as they call it) for him....I think that entails drinking punch with a straw out of large aluminum flagons.....and stripping down to underwear only, and then having bed-on-wheels races down the corridors....
Whatever..but it all sounds darstadly good fun, and damned if I wouldn't love to be there myself...maybe it's time for my own by-pass, or a lobotomy, whichever comes first, 'ey?...
