' Afternoon you Q of E....

As much as I adore you - I refuse to accept silk to easily rip... Such a strong material. (I tried laugh )

You think? Goodness Mike, treated silk, yes. Raw silk is easy, the fibres are so delicate.

And you are back as only number 69, what happened to as the millionth and three hundred and seventy fifth thousand one? Have you seen our latest story? You/re the chef, with a frozen pea problem...

laugh No, I did not see that - and for the user name, it's so neatly ordered that a closed profile can be reopened if you behaved. I just found out - and did so. 69 is after all a more catching number cool

I have at long last hit still waters and am in the Cevennes mountains hanging out and doing things like collecting honesty (a kind of decorative plant) to dry and vaguely wondering about giving a hand preparing the Big Party in the village on Monday night. I'm sure that would be neighbourly and socially minded and stuff... but think I'll just lie in the hammock some more.... I have another 8 days of this so am pretty much blissing out.

A good girl goes to a party has fun goes home goes to bed
A nice girl goes to a party has fun goes to bed goes home

the old ones are still good to me

dancing Okay, now I`m finished being busy!

This morning I shot in a shooting competition! ...... I only hit the target twice! and scored a 6..... blushing But the flipping gun was a huge big army thing and I had to lie on my stomach and shoot at a target that looked like a pin-head and was about a km away!!!! I`d been promised that the gun was like a pellet gun!! ..every time I shot the thing the barrel ended up pointing at the forest up the hillside!..anyway I at least I earned a free lunch for my effort.

Then I had a family re-union thing at the house all day and night - and now got at least 2 new photos of myself from today to post here ..... I was playing the salad spoons to accompany a guitar and mouth-organ.....cool

Heyy Lagowave

Also a very busy period at work .. two people down -- one retired and one terminated due to incessant depression - and they are not being replaced, so more job for everyone.

But the good thing about being employed is that you are entitled to more than 25 days of leave a year and you are free to use it anytime you want as long as there's somebody left in the office. Summer, of course, is the most favorable time to take a vacation. I'm now again taking one more week time off work and another one next month, so it's nicely spread out thru the season.

When I go back, there's more work as ever, but in the meantime, I just forget all about it. You know what they say, all work and no play ... here, take a break cheers

Tulefel: Well… I don’t know any other way to get money but to have a paid job. When you don’t have a paid job, you still have a lot of job to do, but you are dependent on everyone’s good will, and good will in this world is a very rare phenomenon. More than that, even the persons you are dependent upon are nice to you, you still are not free – beggars cannot be choosers, and possibility to make my choices is freedom for me. Hence, a paid job that gives me money is my freedom..

True, Tulefel, true.. hi there wave

Having a good job is liberty. It can provide you for everything you need and some little luxuries from time to time that makes life a treat.

You don't have to depend on anyone for your own living and you can quit any relationship when it no longer serves you and it does not give you any happiness. And most of all, you don't have to settle for just any one other than a person you really want to share your life with.

It's sweet freedom at its best!thumbs up

Yes, I'm very busy in Oxford now, teaching the International students. They are a lovely bunch though. I have been allocated the terrible teens!

They've all gone on an excursion to London today, so I have a few hours to myself...hurrah!!

I really just wanted to send my love to Conrad and Robert, both of whom I see have been in the wars. Sorry I haven't done so sooner, but I haven't logged in to CS since I arrived in the UK.

teddybear To you both.

And hello to all my EU friends before I disappear again.
