No. So many scammers from so many countries make it impossible to track them all down to prosecute.
Might just be best to be mindful of them and avoid those suspected of being scammers. Too bad too because there are some good people out here that are hurt.

I am also referring to those who have a false profile on here just to mess with people, to gain their affections, to promise love, relationship, etc. People may spend months talking to someone who is a complete fake, even travel to see them, only to have that person not show up because they were a fake from beginning to end.
There was such a situation on another site (that I know of,sure it happens all the time) of a woman who was tricked like this. They guy turned out to be a complete fake, and she was able to trick him into exposing himself when she got suspicious, but that was after she spent months emailing, Im-ing, talking on the phone and falling in love. So, I don't mean just international scammers trying to trick people out of money.

Have we got so soft that it should now be a criminal offence to hurt someone's feelings. I don't like to use people or be used by them but I like to think that I'm an adult and can take responsibility for what happems in my life and deal with my own emotions.There are people in this world who will not eat today and I worry about my poor wee feelings being hurt.

Basically that would be making it a crime to tell lies.
It's no different than in real life, and people no longer get prosecuted for it there now either. You'd have to prove that it endangered life or something.
It could be seen as hiding your identity to prevent stalkers and therefore not a crime at all.........

Definitely - when a woman describes herself as slim and slender when she is actually more obese than even 'curvy' that is a heinous crime worthy of the birch or cat o nine tails.
I am disgusted.

I think it's ridiculous to make hurting someone's feelings a criminal offense. Anyone can claim to have their feelings hurt for any reason. Most of us with an opinion would be in jail or bankrupt if that were implemented.

Yes it should be as well as a new photo that is only one moth old ....no puppys ,no kitten,no lakes or waterat all,no trees....ect, and if they get caught lieing we should make them date Oprah or Rush Limbaugh

i can say the same when i first joined cs one of the reasons i changed my profile what i was noticing was this not one person who i was talking to away from this forum showed me they were serious or were they being honest when it came to questioning them
i just cut of ties with some one who only wanted me to write to her this one was from halifax canada if ther is such a place that exists
if wer going to join a dating site and if we are serious in wanting to find that right person why is it that the guy has to do the leg work waste his hard earnt savings
i dont mind traveling to another country i dont mind booking into a motel and i am ok with getting to know a women yet what i dont like you waste say two months three months chatting and all of a suden the other person on the other side goes cold or does not want to meet you
i am not hear to play games i came to cs to find some one i have been on my own since 1998 my divorce came threw in 2000 it is know 2009 meaning i am ready for a serious relationship
what i noticed with the women i was chating to one was very damaged
another one did not want to chat to me threw cs set up and only wanted to chat to me away from cs
i have a stable job i can afford to look after a women i am not scared to committ and i am not a selfish guy meaning whats mine is hers i will hold nothing back
i would even go out of my way to be with her or even be willing to relocate
no use saying those who put up fake profiles should be crimanlly prossecuted when you say this are you only wanting to prosecute the guys hear who have fake profiles and waste a womens valuable time or is ok for us guys to crimanally prosicute the women that waste our time ?
we are adults and i think that it should be up to the two adults communicating
the chemistry has to be right and some times you cant tel by just chatting and not willing to have the face to face contac
its hard having to express your self when some one lives in another country you want that person your communicating to to get to know the real you but what i hate is when you only get short replys or a short message which realy does not give you much information about the person
some times we have to take that risk if you have got a good job the money behind you and you can afford to travel who is it realy hurting in the long run
when it comes to courting a women it should not be were the guy is left guessing meaning some times a women will not give the guy any hints if he has a chance with her
women are good at toying with us and some women are good at leading a guy on
also ther are players when i say players one women can be talking to four guys and then will decide who is going to be the right one for her and this is not fair
it can really mess a guy up to the point wer the guy feels are all women like the ones he has tried to get to know
what is the point of joining a free dating site if your not willing to get out of your comfort zones
