You have just blown your thread out of the water, and lost the plot. Shame really cos as others have said before the concept was worth thinking about.Pity you have no consideration for others and have to reduce to foul and unacceptable language. Puts you in a bracket I'm afraid.

Lee464: Agreed

It's only sunk 'low' because of the way you've treated people with complete disdain.

It's your problem and not anybody else's........ but you've also said you've(in as many words) enjoyed creating friction for your own entertainment so you've got exactly what you wanted from your thread.

So you posting 'agreed' to bodleing is yet another lie from you!

Unfortunately, as one of the more astute posters stated earlier...'a few rotten apples spoil the entire barrel'

Sad yes, but it's the world we live in.

I never intended to have this thread go this way and I apologize to those of you who might have got something from it if it hadn't. but it was clear to me after the first 2 pages that the majority of posters on this thread are incapable of intelligent discourse and couple that with the fact that I've been a nit bored the last couple days and well...I just couldn't help but show them for the intellectually stunted, social misfits that they are...so I fed the frenzy.

again apologies to yourself and 3 or 4 others and to all who read but had the good sense not to get involved.

This will be my last post on this thread...I'll leave the carcass of it to the vultures who killed it as they will no doubt need to get the last word in.

Your best post so far......... but still insulting as ever to the majority of people who are not the idiots you make them out to be.

I do so hope you now keep your word and disappear! thumbs up

Maybe you'd be kind enough not to post anywhere else either and quit insulting people..... but that is probably way too much to hope for! laugh

ironic, in a falling in ot itself kind of way.
the heart has everything it needs. rubbish.

if anyone wants personal enlightenment, they do not have to look far. your every word and action throughought life is driven by motive, whether it is positive motive, or selfish motive.

if you want enlightenment,, just start being brutally honest with yourself about what your true motive are when you say or do something.

we are all seekers. we all seek something that we don't feel we have. whether it is love, wisdom, spirituality, acceptance, financial security, or whatever.
even seeking a belief system such as this. which then makes it somewhat contradictory.

when you talk down to others in such a consistant manner, not just sporadically, you are seeking the cheap high of the endorphine rush you get by satisfying your need to feel somehow superior.
i won't get into what that actually means, but i would suggest you study a little about human behavior, so you can do something about it.

most can see what this means as if you were wearing a big sign around your neck.

and that in itself does very little to sell the idealism you are trying to promote.

Yes, this could have been a very interesting thread indeed, that is why I posted in an earlier page. It's too bad everyone is so caught up in the human condition, instead of trying to unveil the layers of truth and come to some degree of enlightenment.

who says the discussion cannot go on without the snide remarks?
(well, maybe a few,if they are done in fun)

whether i agree with a concept or not, questioning it can give me a better understanding of it.

say i don't agree with 9 out of ten points that are made, and i question them.

if they are re explained in a form i can understand, and i find something useful in two more of the points, and it was something i hadn't thought of before, then it wasn't a waste of time.

take what you can use, and leave the rest.

I couldn't agree with you more, sharing ideas and concepts is one thing...but most of the dialog in this thread is just slandering back and forth!!! To me that is not a debate, it's just ego and intellectual horns scraping up and banging up against each other.

Lee464: A heart that desires will always be vulnerable to suffering. Remember that your heart ships with everything it requires from the factory and that it's true purpose is to share it's inexhaustible supply of love and happiness.

It's when we get confused and begin to believe that our heart requires something from another source that we set ourselves up for disappointment and suffering...and deservedly so, as we've then become selfish beings...

Your heart was designed to send out goodness with no thought to where it's going or to whom...just a steady outward stream of love.

The person who understands what his heart is for has a heart that is incapable of being hurt...a heart that wants nothing can not be disappointed.

Those who complain about a broken heart have forgotten what the purpose of their heart is and deserve the pain as punishment for that transgression.

Hi Lee,

I follow your point, (I think) but it cannot apply to everyone...

Lee464: A heart that desires will always be vulnerable to suffering. Remember that your heart ships with everything it requires from the factory and that it's true purpose is to share it's inexhaustible supply of love and happiness.

The way one shows love/happiness can be very different to what you expect, based on the environment you are raised in. This is particulatly true in abusive families & in some cases the same cycle continues through to the next generation as they know no better..

It's when we get confused and begin to believe that our heart requires something from another source that we set ourselves up for disappointment and suffering...and deservedly so, as we've then become selfish beings...

That is too harsh & condemning, only yesterday two teenage girls took there own life's even though they were getting support:

Your heart was designed to send out goodness with no thought to where it's going or to whom...just a steady outward stream of love.

Agree with you there.

The person who understands what his heart is for has a heart that is incapable of being hurt...a heart that wants nothing can not be disappointed.

I would rather feel the pain & hurt as that lets me know not only that I am alive but I must consider other peoples feelings as well as my own.

Those who complain about a broken heart have forgotten what the purpose of their heart is and deserve the pain as punishment for that transgression.

Deserving of pain is way OTT, and no one goes out to complain about a broken heart, (maybe the banks though!), it is more a case of coming to terms as to why someone you love has done this to you. Learn from it, but do not dwell on it, and move on with your life.
JMO..

actually the sole purpose of a heart is to pump blood through our veins and arteries so as to ensure that all our cells are properly oxygenated...

thought process, emotions, reflex and intentional reactions as well as body movements are controlled by the brain.... obviously some are less gifted than others when it comes to their ability to properly use their brain... such as those who cant figure out that their heart controls nothing more than the regular flow of blood !!!!!!doh doh doh

someone with a "big heart" is nothing more than somone who MAY be able to pump blood more efficiently that's all !!!!
