wulfen: Aren't we discussing this in a public forum thread? I wasn't attacking you, just posting my own view.
Your reply does show you level (or rather lack) of maturity.
Yes we are on a public forum....And as i said the person who my reply was directed at will know what it means....i don't care if anyone else gets it because it's not directed at them.
Nettermann: not each one on here can be as intelligent as tolerant and as arrogant as you are. By the way i hope you dont have pets and are eating meat...
Actually I do have a pet dog and do eat meat. As for arrogance, when you point your finger at others you usually have 3 pointed back at you

Ok mate, sorry for the misunderstanding. I didn't realize it was intended as a pun joke.
RobertC2: Hey you! Your post several hours earlier when the news came out that you thought it was very funny seeing Berlusconi covered in blood was totally out of order.
I hope you have since apologised.
I'm no fan of Berlusconi (even if I admire the crook for his survival ability and bringing some stability to Italian politics), but to laugh at seeing a 73 year-old man smashed in the face by a mentally ill person isn't nice of you at all.
Shame on you!
no i will NEVER apologize for that, you know like me who Berlusconi really is, i feel not sorry about him, i am out now of this thread.
wulfen: Forgot to add another of your characteristics, you call others insults, and say 'you are out of this thread' a 1000 times yet you still come back.
Do come out with a good argument. Tell us why Berlusca is so bad, who knows, we might say you're right.
Excuse me - Nittyman just gets a kick out of annoying people; the more he irritates people the happier he is.
Enjoy the banter, but when you tire of it just leave him be - he'll find somebody else to piss off soon enough!

i don't think he have any winnable case agaist Mr Berlusconi.
somone4u: i don't think he have any winnable case agaist Mr Berlusconi.
That's my thoughts too. The ones who like us seem to respect Mr. Berlusconi have come up with arguments as to why we admire & respect him. That said I don't consider him a saint either.
Nettie on the other hand has just hurled insults. Ok he dislikes Berlusconi, fine, tell us why.
Apart from that, I cannot understand how anyone cannot consider punching a 73 year old man in the face (or throwing something at him with the intent to hurt him) as anything but a cowardly act.
I can, and have come to blows with others in the past, but they were always guys roughly my age who could hit back. Even if a 73 year old man was my worst enemy, I couldn't bring myself to hit him physically.
The fact that nettie approves of hitting an old man just shows what a moral coward he is.

Mr Nittyman are you just leaving like that after u spend all of the day here Without bringing up your really view on Mr Berlusconi; can we conclude that u have NOTHING constructive against the man. SO Why you hate him?
somone4u: and i think one leader here in EU once got egg on his face sometimes ago, but i forgot his name.
Our Deputy PM John Prescott a few years ago got an egg thrown at him when he was canvassing for an election - and he promptly decked the guy with a right jab ....

Smilerguy: "Berlusconi really started from modest means. Then wealth generates wealth for those who know how to do it. I don't, so I'm destined to remain a salaried worker the rest of my days, but I surely hold no ill feeling to those who are more successful than me.
Or else do you prefer a communist type of regime where everyone 'shares' equally?"Being modest at the start does not give Berlusconi nor Obama the right to manipulate the media & distort peoples views.
I am NOT a communist! that word is used to stop any questioning of in-equality, i oppose the one-party Stalinist regimes that were in the USSR, Eastern Europe, and those now in China, North Korea & Cuba.
But the gap between the priviledged & poor is widening, that is created by elites everyday. That system cannot continue to grow & could cause mass-suffering
Oh, please.
The media does that job all by themselves, every day of the week. Marketing is built on that!
It does not take a Berlusconi or Obama to do that. It is everyone's responsibility to remain informed, and not accept everything unquestioningly. But the media preys on the fact that many people do not.
Do you really think journalists across the world, write their articles driven by freedom of speech 100% of the time, or even 50% for that matter. That's why there are editors. Both with newspapers and television, it is the editor in chief who ultimately decides what will make news that day. Surely you know that??? I don't bother to read our local newspapers, it would be a rare thing for me to do that. They are full of tripe most of the time. The "Independent' was released to try and address these issues, to have informed articles. The Murdoch press ruined our press long ago, and has continued his practices overseas.

Wake up.
While I'm not familiar with Australian press, I can agree that the points you mention are valid to the ones I'm familiar with.
"A student who threw a cake at Finance Minister Kristin Halvorsen last October has been charged with committing a crime against the Norwegian Constitution.
The cake attack occurred outside of the Finance Ministry on Halvorsen's first day in office, and the new minister was hit squarely in the back of the head.
Afterwards the student came forward in newspaper VG and said he had thrown the pastry in order to stimulate debate about whether Norway was well served by having a minister of finance from the Socialist Left Party.
The question of what the 24-year-old student would be charged with has been left up to the Director of Public Prosecutions, and the final decision carries a maximum penalty of 15 years in prison.
"We ended up with a relatively serious charge," chief public prosecutor Marit Bakkevig told VG.
The student from Valdres has been charged with violation paragraph 99 of the Criminal Code, hindering a member of the government from carrying out their duties. The man is also charged with assault and defamation by frightening or bothersome behavior.
Halvorsen, who did not press charges over the incident, has been summoned as a witness for the trial, which is scheduled to be held in Oslo on Oct. 11.
The man, who has maintained that the cake flinging was an innocent prank, was completely unprepared for the backlash of the stunt and has since dropped his studies and lost his job."
victor_meldrew: Nah, I think the farmer just got a fine and bound over to keep the peace . I think he suffered enough, as Prezzer used to be an amateur boxer in the merchant navy .... 'twas a cracking punch
