I read your profile. It says you are in college. Unfortunately, that is the age and situation where a lot of girls (and guys) want to have fun and not take relationships seriously. Don't give up hope, you'll just have to be patient. I'm sure there are people your age that want what you do, you just have to find them.

I know how you feel. Well, did, until about 2 years ago. Then I became a huge computer geek. Since then, I don't think I've had a girl say more than "hi" to me. Good women are hard to find these days, so you just have to be patient. Well, that's what I keep telling myself, anyway

To me, that demonstrates a certain sloppiness/slovenliness in expressing oneself that could easily carry over to physical behaviors. If you, dman, wrote to a lady as you wrote your original post, she might not take you seriously. Of course, at your age that might not be so important. And some ladies probably don't care about that. But intelligent and educated women of all ages, in my experience, appreciate someone who takes the time to express themselves well.
