My great grandmother passed away yesterday. She would have been 104 in October.
Can you imagine living that long.
She lived at home by herself until she was 94.
Then she moved into an assisted living place.
She was just moved into a nursing home 2 years ago.
Up until 2 months ago she was still very healthy & could still tell you stories about when she was a little girl.

Would you want to live that long?
I don't think I would mind as long as I was still all there as she was

It's sad to hear about your great grandmother passing away.

She most have been wonderful in expressing her memories, and that leaves you with something special.

I would not mind living that long, if I was healthy, only because like I had said in the other thread, I think it would be wonderful to have experienced my past, present, and see my future in the next generations of grandchildren, knowing they are their own person, but a little part of me remains in their history.

It would also be nice to see if any of them will make an impact in our world, and change it fore the better.

I hope you will be ok, and that you may find some peace in the good memories.hug

my quality of life would be the deciding factor....maybe when I reach that age they'll legalize the right to choose on that very reason.

Thanks guys...
But actually she lived a full life.
These last two weeks she was in more pain than anything.
She's much better off where she is now.

Sorry to hear about your great Grandmother Chrissy.
Her life she shared with you and others. Hold those
in your heart and pass them on to those who will
listen, so her memory will live on forever.

I guess my answer on how long I want to live is a very
simple one. My life is in God's hands. When He is ready
to take me home I am ready to go.

My condolences.

My Grandparents were childhood sweethearts, they met when they were shildren working down the mines in Newcastle, in the North of England, and then married when he was 18, she was 16.

They clebrated their 75th wedding anniversary, then she passed, then almost to the week, one year later, he passed.

I loved listneing to him and his stories were alwaysd slightly different to hers-

But at 10 years old ... who cares
