I am just wondering how many people really want to date on this site. I have given up on writing to men. It seems to be a waste of time. The ones that write me don't read my profile and write me from all around the world. How do you date someone you have to fly to see? I just wanted to know what's the point of writing if there is no answer. I answer back even if they live far away or I don't feel they are a match. Seems like a right thing to do.

Hi wave

Sometimes people will reply, sometimes they won't, that is just the way it is. It takes time to find someone with things in commom i guess. Participating in the forums, blogs etc is a good way of knowing people and them to get to know you.

Not everybody is looking for their soulmate on this site...some people just come to talk,have fun,shoot the breeze,make a few friends;

...but I SENSE the majority are looking for the one,or at least to date, and if you're not looking for it,you're either a scammer or a player...

Pathetic.

Well, all i can say is, Just be positive all the time and expect less and base on my observation, the less you expect , the more chances you can find......hug .....Just enjoy in everything you do and have fun.....yay cheering applause .....

It works for me.....hug kiss ....

The reason i expect less is, so that frustration can be avoided as i dont message any guy first unless they message me first and i reply....Maybe i dont have the guts to message them first as Im a shy type of a person .....and in a addition to that, at least the fun is still there as you wait for the right guy to come but just dont expect so much so you dont get frustrated..

Love find its way and oppps...yesss..i bump on someone....doh laugh tongue ....hug kiss

Oi! I'm neither a scammer, nor a player, but neither am I looking for it. If love comes my way, great. If not, great.

Friendship is good, though. I'd be a very unhappy bunny without friends.

Dear Waytoomuch,

You are quite right, the distance factor is the main problem on CS or any similar site. How can you build a relationship with someone you cannot actually meet tomorrow or next week or next month? That's a very important question. Even more important though is the answer: somehow, you can. Love (or attraction, if you will) transcends mileage.
It's quite reasonable to hope to meet someone who lives within 25 or 50 or 100 miles of you. But love is not reasonable. My own sweetheart's profile specifies men within 100 miles. Yet we live 800 miles apart. Neither of us planned this, of course. But that is what happened and now we try to work out the obstacles, rather than let the obstacles stymie us.
I mean to give you heart here, but I might as well add, if it is obvious a contact knows nothing of your profile beyond name and pic, they are not worth your time.
Please don't give up hope. CS can work, as I and Trulee (and others) can attest. I've not viewed your profile myself, but your statement that you reply to all indicates a sensitive and caring person. If you give it time I believe you will find someone to love here. How long that might be no one can guess. But it does happen, and it might be tomorrow.

With best wishes,

D'Agosto

you don't say how long you've been a member on this site - but i think you should keep trying, who knows 'he' might join tomorrow and oops you missed him! tag yourself and yes, chat on the forums, it's time consuming to reply to all who mail you and some are scammers of course, but it does raise your chances of finding new friends and possibly more than friends...don't give up..hug cheers wine
