If I get a message from someone that has taken two seconds to read my profile and actually sees what I am looking for AND disregards it, then I am sorry, but I don't feel I am obligated to respond.
Likewise, if I am contacted by someone and I am not interested, I have learned that no response is better than when you try to be polite and decline the contact. It turns out to be a series of emails asking why, how come, why not, etc..and then the rudeness follows and I don't to put up with it.

Like most of the responses from women, I had the same experience,, I replied "Thanks for the note but I am not interested, Good Luck!!" and I get nasty responses. Now I rather do not reply at all. A better pic wil help,,,,..MOO

In that respect i would have to sometimes agree. Now, today I am in a mood (not me!) because I answered a thread, it seemed like it was going along at a good clip, etc... and all of a sudden, poof, no more answers, no more responses, etc... Now, that is irritating because the OP's say they want to wrangle with something, have a talk, bla bla, and then it comes to a halt. It leaves many of us thinking, "why should we bother? As a result there's very little money in it. The perks are that you get to read lots of that wandering drivel, mostly devoid of meaning, like I posted on the previous page.

Me too,,I taught English as a foreign language in Spain for a year and my most abiding memeory of that time is living on porridge because that's all we could afford on the pay!
So I went back to my abiding love - BOOKS!

Well yes that is true, but you can make a good living depending on where you teach, what other things you are able to do such as translating, examining etc, and how much in demand you are.
After 6 years here I make a better living than many people in other jobs in my part of Spain.
I still eat porridge in Winter though!

True, but that's not what he is talking about because I feel the same as him. Just because someone has a "right" to an action, does not make that action right. And that's what he is talking about. In other words, a lot of people are like you...do not consider being bothered with empathy. So they are more free to be asses. Because the only thing that would bother them, is if they themselves were going to be effected. Unlike this gentleman who said he would always reply...even if turned down. Why? Simply because he has EMPATHY! :) That should be a hint...

I get E-mails on a regular basis mainly from folk I have become friendly with on the forums, I personally find it is better to get to know folks on the forums.....Rather than firing off random E-mails to people, join in the forums and get to know folk....
Maybe as the majority of folk are saying be a good time to change your photo....
I do get the odd E-mail on a random basis but these are usually Sacmmers....Or very poorly sighted ladies

Yes, they may not be interested, but if a person has taken time out to get in touch, the decent thing to do is to reply to say they are not interested.........no need to be rude about it, and ignore that person altogether.
