As far as I am concerned, she can have what she want...but I am a staunch Royalist and served her for 25 years.

Are you under the impression that she lives in a the palaces? They are for the most part ciivis institutions like churches and government offices, who often do receive such aid. She wasn't asking for help with her living suites, but the enormous heritage buildings that are a driving force of the tourism industry.
One day she might stop asking for handouts and start charging market rent for her properties in downtown London and just sell her loss-making properties. I suspect the the UK government would not like the outcome of that....
