No, I don't think so. But if you are expecting to be a wallflower and find members tearing your door down, so to speak, to talk with you, it's not gonna happen. People have to get to know you, how you think, etc...to open dialogue with you.
It is very easy to feel ignored and unwanted, I have posted a good few replies in the forums here, have not recieved an interest from those on the forums, but that does not matter as such,
If I have something to say, I have to join in, maybe what I say at times floats over the forums heads, I don't know. But they know I am there because I add to the forum and whether my comments are stupid or other, They may someday meet with another's approval and then it will begin,
It's like trying to get into a conversation in the pub, If you sit back and say nothing, But if you try and add in a bit of humour or comment someone is bound to listen.
Keep adding your comments and everything will flow from there.
After all this Little has managed to be heard and if I can do it so can anyone else. the JIG Style

Not that I am aware of.
I remember when I first came on the site. I was welcomed however, it took a while for me to get used to the forums and to get to know the posters.
Sometimes I think everyone feels ignored. I have started many threads that have fallen by the wayside or had comments ignored. That is all a part of the internet forums.
Academia offered insight and asked for input. Nothing suggests that anyone was expected to invite anyone into the "pack" at the bar....yet acknowledging input is not profound! It is simply courtious and demonstrates civility.
of course as always these are just my humble opinions
Consider CS forums as one big house party. Of course you'll have groups sitting here and there chatting amongst themselves. Others may be in pairs, some standing alone. You may join the group in the kitchen and they may ignore you. Just walk around the party and you will be noticed. Paws
