KarmaInitiative: To be totally honest, people of each country do conform, albeit partially, to the stereotypes whether that be physically due to their gene pool (for example), or mentally due to their upbringing and environment.
Some people have of course totally broken the mold... but that in itself is a behaviour influenced by your own way of thinking or culture.
The most interesting journey is to analyse yourself and some of your beliefs and behavior, and where they originate from...and indeed to challenge those beliefs.
Hello Karma
Conforming is a social skill as well. It creates belonging and comfort zones and we all need a little of that.
Again, it comes down to how discerning one is in ones judgements and how positive, or otherwise the consequences of ones behaviour.
iamwhoiamyousee: This is something which has been ocupying my mind lately. It seems to me no matter where, people still get judged by where they come from, what or who they believe or not believe in.. why does it seem like we can't jump over our own shadow and leave all that behind and see a person for what he/she is..an individual.
no matter if you are black, white ,yellow, red or brown ... no matter what religion you are...fat or skinny tall or short ..I HATE YOU ALL EQUALLY ....

leostartingover: Yes it appears to be a human failing. I think a lot of our judging comes from a place of insecurity or fear. That person is different - they are unknown therefore we don't know what they might do therefore they make us feel out of our comfort zone therefore we judge or criticise them. As Jac said, it requires thinking out of the box!!! Celebrating our differences is definitely the way to go... How about a new thought: They are different therefore I might learn something from them and grow in wisdom from the experience...
Yup.
I'll go along with all of that.
Except maybe its a human survival strategy that has long since become obsolete? Whadcha reckon?
anyway, all i know that i always wish a lot of good things for the world and its inhabitants but only a very of those wishes see the lights of reality. And only then, i start to think that perhaps, just perhaps, the world isn't meant to be a world that we all like to see
jac379: Yes, we have a wonderful opportunity here on these forums to talk to people from all over the world, to see them as individuals.
Its a shame that more people don't take advantage of this.
I couldn't agree more. There are very, very cool people all over the globe. People very well worth knowing. Bashing their country isn't a good way to break the ice with them, though, and there's way, way, way too much of that going on. Bigotry and Reason are mutually exclusive.

Now, there's strange, because we all love you equally.

iamwhoiamyousee: I also think that people because of how they are percived by others then act they way they are percived..now did I say here what I wanted to say ???
i guess u did just fine here except that most of us don't behave with a pre-plan. now did i make any sense here at all?

Because unfortunately hate/judgment/fear still exists in society and it is perpetuated from generation to generation.
StressFree: We are waking up, from my observations. Like I said, we've come long ways since the 60's. It's indeed a painful process. We'll get there someday. Yes, I understand what you are saying. The tails and the heads is still one coin. Without either, there is no coin. Ah, I was expanding there briefly on duality/polarity---something necessary in this physical plane of experience.
I don't know if I understand your last sentence clearly? Can you rephrase that, and expand that so I can understand where you are coming from?
Yes I am happy to expand, I am becoming a luminous being, moving into my higher self. Some of the Buddhist would call it a person of no mind. In Peru the high mountains Pago's just say we are becoming Luminous Beings.

Gotch'ya! I guess I'll need sunglasses to see the light being you'll become due to your luminosity? I get what you are saying, and that's another topic. Honor the light within

I dont judge a person on their religion, race or where they live..I judge on what type of person they act like to me and others..I just dont like jerks, creepy, or otherwise bad people.
