I have also encountered some "Negative" folk who are nice people, but,.. hard as I try in talking to these people and trying to help them with lifes problems, cant help but feel there are some folk who seem to be happy in the"downside" of life. What say you????. I am a "Positive Woman" and feel there are some people who really just want to live in a Whoa is me situation......

Happy New Year EE...I think perception is everything. If you go through life as an angry bitter-ball you will have a bitter life. If you CHOOSE a negative attitude then the world will seem like a negative place. We all have ups and downs...thats just life, but if you look at life overall with a positive outlook, that determines your happiness in life.

Happy New Year My father never had a good day in his life.
But yet he was happy. Just his personality. My mum on the other hand......always seen the glass as half full. Myself I like a nice peaceful life and there just isn't to much that riles me or upsets me. It is just part of life. The good and the bad. And it is funny you can be one way and turn around in a nano second and be the other but would it not be boring without the curves in the road.

Everyone is different, that goes without being said..but I too agree, there are some people that choose to view the negative side to life far too often.
However, there are those w/ a pragmatic attitude that no matter what, will always find negativity, fault and discord..those are the types I avoid.
Life is not perfect, but on this imperfect journey, in my opinion, it's far better for me to remain positive and upbeat, otherwise I would lose faith in humanity, become bitter and carry the scars of my past throughout my entire life..not something I wish to do...life is life, live it and make it all YOU want it to be..we can always change a bad situation into something better and take away a positive from a negative...and learn as we go.

I have seen this on both sides of the fence, some can claim how positive they are, and many times its all talk making their world to be so unrealistic that is is scary, and then Also have see Downers that cant see any light at all...
I Feel the truth is Reality of the state of the World we live in, Which is in between, these two Extreems.... maybe Balanced is more realistic...
The reason I say this is one woman that I talked to, Kept telling nme how Positive she was, and how positive Life was, It was all talk, If she was all so Great a positive and Life was so Great for her, Why was she single and on here Looking like everyone else....Many build themselves up too much, and To Me reality fall in the Midrange...

It truly is very sad..those were the kind of wounded people I used to seek out, subconsciously, because I thought I could "fix" them. Sorry, but enough of being surrounded in negativity is a bad thing and there's no band-aid in the world big enough to fix that type of outlook and people are all flawed in some way, unless, living in a bubble and never experiencing real life..don't know how else to explain it.
I'm a realist and know life is not perfect, I accept my flaws and shortcomings and can live with myself. But, on the other hand, I also know from experience, life is not ideal and there are some people that truly enjoy being a beast of burden and carrying their demons w/ them and refuse to see how much better life can be by letting go of the stuff you can't control. To them, I have only pity and empathy.. and closed down my patch-and-bandaid-station long ago...

I am happy and my life is nice and I am very single.....I am on here, not really sure if I would call myself looking but if something came along that would add to the quality of my life I would have to consider it. Am I not understanding what you wrote?
