A new doomsday cult gets big media coverage about once every two to six years. The doomsday confidence scam, like the love confidence scam, has its roots in ancient history and is fairly well known. Even so, countless fools fall for these and other cons every year.
I think someone crashed into the coo coos nest one to many times.
This reminds me of the time about the Y2K thingy.
Hi Ms. C. This was sitting on the bus the other day I had drop some money and he told me I had drop my money " and he asked if I believe in God"? I said yes and he said did you know that the world is coming to an end on May 21,2011 I ask him to show me in the bible what book and chapter tells you that he could answer nor give me a verse I replyied arent we all ready there?
People keep saying the end is near. Don't panic, grab your towel and hitchhike on out of here. Bring your peril sensitive shades. That way when you are in peril, you won't know because you can't see and therefore won't be afraid.
Jokes aside, back in the late 1990s, the world waalso supposed to end in 2000, then 2001, now 2011, 2012 and so on. I personally don't believe in any of it, I do believe that Earth is going through major changes, and there is a reason for that, but the end?? Hardly...
The human arrogance really takes huge proportions sometimes, people who think they are the chosen ones, second coming of Christ and all that...
thelastgoodman0: In the insanely unlikely event that there is some sort of "Rapture" event where tons of people just vanish, I've got dibs on all the stuff they leave behind.
