I think for some it is an "ego" thing. Some want to rate everyone very low or very high. Personally, it's just another "toy" in my mind. It doesn't mean anything to me one way or the other.

jvind: Does anybody out there think that the photo review feature of this site means anything? For example, if someone (Oh I dont know) maybe gave an unfavorable rating, would that really hurt your chances? Would it make the target do anything but laugh?

I never rate photos but I have been known to post some comments esp if I see a woman of rare beauty. I think that's much more meaningful than merely typing a number.

You are right, if you see someone that you believe is very good looking why not tell them about it in a comment with some specifics instead of just a meaningless number. It would mean a lot more to the person.

I tried using it, didn't pay much attention to it. I checked on it a month or more later and a guy I had blocked had left comments. He didn't leave anything bad but he sure could have, so I won't use the feature again.
