In many instences they stay married longer because the women get killed or desfigured if they try to get away from an abusive marriage...
yhere's a difference between being men and doing "manly jobs" and having complete controle over your partner who happens to be an adult and should have equal rights of decision over anything pairtaining to the marriage and family.
