I got a quote from a painter today, to paint woodwork which is varnished and looks outdated and worn. It includes 6 doors, all the framework, plus a counter, a few window ledges...it will cost me around $3-4,000. Blow that!!!...
So I went off and bought myself an electric hand sander and my father will show me how to use it in the morning after I buy more sanding sheets. Then I can apply darker varnish, and paint the corridor plus a feature wall. Then replace the vinyl skirting with wooden. My plan is to have it all finished by next weekend.
... I can use the money I save to change the carpets and for my trip o/s...

I saw the brightest flashing shinny stars the other night when having a shower, then proceeded to throw up everywhere

Yes heaps better, it was a once off and I don't normally throw up but I did this time But those stars were quite impressive

My brother will take me there as we need to leave the car for a few hours. He won't charge(he like that I'd paid cash for the work done on Friday)and I provide coolant.
German cars are just not made for our conditions...might sell it and buy a Holden!!

Anyhoo, I drove a hire truck last week, from Marion Rd to Coomandook and back, with return trip hauling a load of furniture. Howzat?
Should have seen me trying to find a diesel bowser to fill up the tank before returning...
p.s that's a round trip of about 260kms!!
