Watch out for Bangkok pebbs
The scammers there are professional, taxi drivers are in league with jewellery store owners and will do anything to trick you into going shopping at their "brother's" store .. anything but take you where you wanna go and they'll try to rip you off farewise too.
People in the street will try to befriend you, ask you where you're going and offer to help. Scam.
You'll be told the Grand Palace is flooded/closed for repairs/closed for a religious holiday. Scam.
Just be aware if you spend any time there outside of the airport
However the countryside is just beautiful and generally, the people are too
