If I'm reading through a thread and happen to notice someone's comment was overlooked (usually a new person), I try to at least quote their response and add an emoticon.
I felt Still was a regular and was like by a lot, if not *all* of the regulars in the forums.
This remark that he felt he was being ignored, really bothers me
doberman3: I got a note and flower from him saying he was leaving. He said because he felt like he had become a outsider.
Then I tried to answer and he's gone, no more profile.
I wanted to say that can happen but it usually changes. I wanted to tell him to take some time away and come back.
Still, I'll miss you. You were a good guy.

I don't know why he would feel like an outsider, maybe it's just where he's at right now.
There are times you can come on here looking for something and it's not there .. and sometimes that can be because you don't know what it is that you're looking for.
And that's no one's fault, it's probably just time for a break.

Sometimes people have a busy time or tragedy in their lives and can't post until the circumstances are over. They may delete or hide their profile for a bit of time so that the mailbox doesn't fill up with responses that can't be answered right away.
Still is a great guy. Like many of us, he has his ups and downs. In my time here I have seen many peeps come and go. Some for good, and some return after a hiatus. Whatever path he takes in life I wish him well

CS is not the same as it was, us older members still look back at the "Good old days" with sadness I think. It is like a circle, new members come and the old ones get pushed aside, I remain but mainly because I have many friends here that I chat to outside of the forum, especially those in China, I rarely post these days and when I do it is almost always overlooked or else an old member responds. For example I posted recently regarding an English Grammar problem, my post was ignored yet new members posted exactly the same as my original response and discussed those , so whats the point?

Well Riz... from a relatively new poster, I say Hi and hope to see you posting more often.
People are doing their best to liven up the forums, but some days I think everyone hits a low at the same time
I too saw your thread, but couldn't think of anything useful to add, without coming off as disrespectful with some kind of weak humor, so I didn't post.
Nice to meet you buddy... from a crazy Canadian, eh?

Riz
I was also on the thread mentioned. I didn't spotlight anyone in particular, I said "Great Comments' with you particularly in mind.

Nice to meet you too. To be honest I wasn't expecting a reply, but was amused that others posted exactly what I had already written. Not a problem. You live in a great country by the way, I lived in Calgary and the Vancouver for awhile back in the late 90s, Bloody cold but fantastic people, and youspeak British English (Mainly)
When did you last see a new member posting in introduction thread on here?
We used to have two or three a day, these days it's barely one a week.
Things ain't what they used to be on here, that's for sure.

I agree with you Bode, that things aren't like they used to be.
There is a thread called "Who do you miss.....". I could remember the people I wanted to post but old age lost their names in my brain so I found a way to look at every person who is still a member and posted their names. There are about 283 pages with about 20 names per page. It was time consuming but worth looking at that thread just to see their names again and remember the fun they used to bring to CS.

True Bodey...I also think its linked to the seasons. It seems the forums are more active in the colder weather (at least thats my perception) They always seem to die out somewhat when the weather is warm. Good to see you Handsome
