DjWabbet: The Human Centipede... you really have to wonder about the minds of people who think up these types of movies...

Exactly...and the sequel!! I think he is Dutch. There's also a french film called 'Martyrs'. People beware this is so unsettling, it stays with you for days after.

I adore Tarantino films though the violence often makes me hide my eyes! laugh His films are for me the most disturbing given that I never watch horror or extremely violent films normally, yet they are quirky and enjoyable which appeals.

JeanKimberley: The 1996 film - the Tin Drum - I still think about it.

Damian, Exorcist and Jaws were also thought provoking and not in a good way, for me. I still don't enjoy the ocean because of jaws.

and Eraserhead was odd too.

ahhh gunther grass was it not? I read it and saw the moviewave

I love David Lynch, so eventhou he is The Master of strange i just gotta think everything he does is brilliant.

Eventhou i havent seen it i think the most disturbing has to be "Justin Bieber: Never say never"....think my eyes would bleed if i saw it.

But besides that one i could mention "American History X"...and "Sinister"....loved it...the sounds in it made it so creepy that i became one of the best horrors for me in many years.

Recently saw "the Family" with Robert de Nero - didn't like it sigh

A mafia family go into witness protection and try to fit in a small French village.

Too much over the top gratuitous violence. very mad

Think it was meant to be 'tongue in cheek' but it was fairly graphic and really unnecessary sigh

Almost walked out except that I was with friends. sad flower

Then there was WOLF CREEK - an Aussie movie - not recommended if you are thinking of backpacking around this big, open continent blues

Thank God I did my travelling 25 yrs ago! Would be cr*pping myself after this movie.

Think it was based on parts of 3 or 4 true stories?

Bad guy brilliantly played by John Jarratt, local actor, can't look at him the same way now. wave

"Agnes Of God". It gave me the chills, and the ending dropped off so weird, pointless, with no real conclusion/epilogue. It was blood chilling.
