Obscuritan: So this has now become the "Have you ever" thread?

God yes, many times when you're just walking along minding your own business when you see a woman coming towards you who is so beautiful and desirable that yeah you would just like to plant one on her gorgeous lips.
But hey society isn't set up that way is it? In a way it's the forbidden nature of it all that makes it all the more desirable isn't it/

Oh dear got mixed upblushingthanks for replying anyway. doh

Obscuritan: You know this might sound strange but I'd like a holiday where I could volunteer on an archaeological dig. But it would have to be an interesting one where we were actually finding something. I wouldn't want to be out in the baking sun sifting tons of soil for miniscule bone chips. I would want to be finding the entrance to a long-lost Egyptian tomb or something.

Sounds exciting I am out in the soil digging every day and all I have ever found is dog bones uh oh I Hope uh oh help laugh

Not all dog breeders are like that pebbs, l breed and show Collies and Shetland Sheepdogs. I have one collie who was injured as a pup and only has three good legs, one of her front legs never devoloped properly. She is now 10 years old and still lives with me. I have an old ex showdog who is now 12.5 years old and she will stay with me till her time comes. I have a couple of dogs that didnt make up for the showring and they still live with me. Dont tar all breeders with the same brush. Thier are some responsible breeders out thier and lm proud to say lm one of them.

I have to admit I like the US too... I was there twice in 2009... Louisiana/Texas in April and Wyoming/Washington/Oregon in August. It's nice being away from home, but still being sure of what you are eating ( mostly).

My next holiday is in March... In fact, I just paid for the trip in it's entirety today... Thailand. It's time to meet an elephant.

Hi Abagail good to see you wine

I've done a fair bit of travelling, Africa, India, SE Asia, UK and a couple other places but my little piece of Paradise is on this island - Darwin, just love it.

It's my mid-winter escape over the past few years .. I fly north for the winter like the other ducks laugh

You have experienced places that I have only dreamed about... but ... nothing is holding me back from following in your footsteps.

I have a friend who says I must go to Darwin... he says it's an experience that I should not miss in life. So... it's also on my list of things to do. I did make it to Cairns this year, Brisbane and Rotorua ... (Notice I refer to Rotorua like it's in another state of Australia laugh )

Where in Thailand are you going to I went on an elephant trek to the top of a great high mountain (hill) Really but felt like a mountain the elephant got to the top and was turning to come back with very little room on the path and the steep drop was breath taking views , adrenalin pumping whoohoo! awesome thumbs up In Puhket.

And back to the "Holiday" thread.

In 1995, I went to a place in Australia named Emu. There are a couple of these name places but this was where the first 2 atomic bombs where off in Australia 50 years ago or so. Lots of flowers in bloom and not what you would expect. I went back a few years later with another group and still astounded by the lack of devastation.

I have the opportunity to go back there next year and looking to see some more things in the area. And to officially visit Maralinga.

Well ... I really am quite unsure of the details... I let my sister organise it all. I just agreed to turn up and join them. Her friends would like me there... It will be nice to go to Phi Phi Island, to do a Thai Cooking Course, to have some clothes made by a tailor... but mostly for me, it will be that special moment meeting an elephant.

um... I think I might be a tad obsessed with them.. I have a few lying around my home. blushing I was given another stuffed elephant at my Christmas party last weekend. I mentioned to my Uncle that a man would be insane to get involved with me, he would experience 'trunk envy' with the elephants I have in my bedroom.

Yeah travel is my passion - when my marriage ended I chose to pursue it rather than commit to a mortgage as I couldn't see myself managing the two successfully.

My dreams have been mostly fulfilled, all spare pennies saved towards those trips over the years and I have not one single regret, just amazing memories .. with more to come thumbs up

They always say there is a silver lining... and it seems for you it's a sum of experiences. Those memories are worth more than any material possessions .
