Everyone feels lonely sometimes Scribbs. I can feel the loneliest in crowds. Being in the middle of a crowd in a stadium is a nightmare for me.

I think everyone is the same , we all get lonely at some point , but hey we always have the forums to soon change that feeling
I know I do feel lonely more often than I would like to think about. I am lucky in that I spend a lot of time with my children who really keep me going but I don't want to think about the time when they will be gone. I think we have to keep busy and have plenty to do when those bad days strike and maybe socialise sometimes when we don't feel like it. It's part of life, though, to feel alone sometimes.
GG, I would agree with you...the loneliest times for me can be in the middle of a crowd as well.

I sometimes feel just like that but I try looking at the positives like , I have my health , my independence and haven't met the wrong person with the potential to make life a bigger misery .

you get a girlfriend or a few quare wans you can meet up with for a laugh for a bit of slap and tickle

I have know people who are married and feel alone and isolated, because they are in a bad marriage/relationship, (not to say I haven't known people in good marriages/relationships.) I try to count the positives, all the money I earn is mine, I can fall in the door when I like, walk around the house in my dressing gown all day if I want, don't have to deal with in laws, or friends of friends I wouldn't have as friends only they have to be my friends because they are her friends.
Though having said that, it is nice to snuggle up to someone at night. b

Loneliness can come in bouts but it can also gnaw away at you, I think it's important to have something to look forward to.
I really dont think you can ever be truly happy with anyone unless you are happy with yourself
Loneliness is part of the human condition I think. It comes and goes at times for all of us . The best antidote I think is to get out and about and get busy ...........or find something that makes you smile.
