Pebbs, hun, there is no way that anyone is going to hold up a drivers licence, now really would you??.... for a starter, the scammers would just love to steal your identity...

grin

Throw your passport in there too, that makes up more than enough points for a identity check... lol.

Good idea in theory but in truth if the scammers are determined and good ones they can easily fake a drivers licence for a photograph.

Its like even the best lock only keeps honest people out, sad but true

I think that one thing that can easily be included in sign up process is to have to complete one of thos captcha thingys, where you have to copy all these hard to decipher letter/digit combination. That way, scammers can't use the automated process they use now.

True. Driver's licences and ID cards are faked all the time by young people wanting to get into clubs. Years ago, I was horrified when I saw my son's photo on this stranage lad's ID card. Silly boy had wanted to help out some acquaintance. I was furious, but it's out there.

Will do, as I've been meaning to. That's not to say they ahven't thought of it. It might be an added expense for them. Worth a try. Frankly, like you, I am way over all the scammers on here. I keep doing the right thing and report the so and so's, but getting really sick of it. Shouldn't be our role here.

I guess I did not know that some sites required all this stuff. I would not be sending anything of mine to be verified...uh oh I would rather not be on the site...

No way, I don't take any of this seriously enough to warrant it.

As far as scammers just ignore them for crying out loud doh

They stick out like dog's balls, what IS the problem .. like all middle-aged men have 25 yr old hotties panting after them? Gimme a break roll eyes

It might the right time for 2nd hand stuff seeing the loss of jobs in Vic, although the 30,000 jobs lost here could be balanced by the 30,000 extra jobs created in WA.
Maybe we all need to relocate to the Nth West?

I don't agree about simply ignoring them serene. They need to be reported as the CS staff rely on us to point them out so they can get rid of them, so ignoring them completely just allows them to keep pestering people here. I'm getting really sick of doing that though.
