just make sure the last things packed, are the elec jug, and cups or mugs coffee or tea bags and a spoon and sugar if needed and milk if needed, so that they are the first things unpacked, from an old furniture remover from way back...thumbs up thumbs up thumbs up

Usually you need to get an invoice from commercial cleaner to show the carpets have been steamed clean etc. I had to last time i rented, mow the lawns, clean the windows and stuff like that before they give bond back. Of course lot landlords try to keep Bond money so perhaps ask the manager\real estate point out what you need to do

Vacuum every room (have carpets steam cleaned if necessary), clean all windows and windowledges, make sure the bathroom is immaculate, and the kitchen clean from top to bottom (make sure the oven is spotless as it will cost a fortune for that alone if the real estate has it done).

Mow all lawns and sweep garage/carport. Remove any rubbish/junk/garden refuse from the property.

Just remember that anything that has to be done after you leave will cost you big time so it's worth your while to make a big effort.

When you have moved to the other house and you're starting to sort things out, make your bed first.

There's nothing worse at the end of a long tiring moving day than wanting to fall into bed and having to do it then thumbs up

Hope all goes well for you TG wine

Pack the things you like too keep and then set fire too the house, that way you get back more than just your bond not that any real-estate maggot will give you any bond back!

Oh and put tea bags in your fridge if its not going to be used for awhile, stops mould and the bad smells!

Give anything you will never need or use to Vinnies.
What they don't want, take to the tip.
That should leave you with your mirror, hair brush clothes and makeup.
That will make for an easy move :P

There are some great microfibre cloths you can get pretty cheap from Godfreys, the using of less chemicals attracts me and they work really well, the one for the grease still won't do the oven like a good Mr muscle oven cleaner will, but it works well on windows and grimy cupboards.

Great tips from everyone Tutorgirl!

Look after your handbag, valuables on the day of moving.

Lots of people going in and out, doors open, if you have to lock your bag/wallet/valuables in your car then you know where it is and it is safe?? teddybear

Same at the other end.

Best of luck with that. hug

Craigs mum brought over a cleany thingy that is on a stick that retracts lol, it has different microfibre cloths which is great. im yet to take it for a spin because i figure it will be easiest for craig and i do clean the walls and floors once the furniture is all out. so tomorrow we move and then i reckon wednesday we will come back over and do the clean up :)

so....i said 'well how will you know what is in the box and which room to put it in'

his response....'im sorry :( '

me...'not my problem, i labeled all MY boxes, have fun finding your playstation three lol'

I will do this, great tip :) probably in the boot will be best because we are living in a really dodgy street at the moment, and i reckon if one of the unsavory characters that live in this street even saw a can of coke in the car they would break in and steal it...we are very happy to be moving out of this dump of a house and this terrible street. Very greatful to craigs parents as they are helping us out with the rent. i guess they dont want their soon to be granddaughter growing up in a bad street and a house that is falling apart.
