We bottled it against Everton but not against City.
Yous were top of the league, why not just go out and beat City like champions?? Instead yous sat back and invited them on, never had a shot on target and got outclassed in every position...that's bottling it in my book!!

Still could be worse.....At least we didn't bottle our season like some teams I could mention. Worse case scenario, United will finish second, six places above Liverpool.
Speaking of which, I see Skrtel scored tonight. Shame it was at the wrong end.

See slagging Liverpool doesn't bother me, you made the point that The SCUM didn't bottle it and i proved you wrong...
Liverpool are on the verge of finishing with 2 trophies this season, league form has been poor but players want to win medals and that's what they've done this season and they will only get better too
I think Newcastle could beat or draw with Man City. Personally Man Utd were poor last night and they never looked like scoing at all. City were are far more potent threat. Swansea will be hard to beat too but I expect Utd to win. It pains me as a Spurs fan but the bs surrounding 'Arry for the England job suited the Gooners big time. I think we will get 4th when we really should have gotten third. the next few days will be interesting.

No doubt the England controversy affected the team even though Harry denies it. It seems too much of a coincidence that they started dropping points around the time Capello walked away from the England job. I think it will be be tight between Chelsea and Spurs as Chelsea are playing well since Di Matteo took over from AVB. Newcastle are having a great season too and far exceeded everyone's expectations. I do think though that qualification to the Champion's League might just be beyond them. Although if they get a result against Chelsea tomorrow night, it will make things very interesting indeed.
DUBLINGUY1973: I see Manchester City have released a new web browser that claims to be the safest in the world........ having no history to delete at all.
Now who's going on about history?? haha ok for yous to do it with your "nosey neighbours" but if any Liverpool fan mentions it, which i haven't in a very long time, then it's blah blah blah
mcattack: I wasn't talking about bottling the league, i'm the one saying it's not over yet and City have the hardest of the two run ins...remember?? you also disagreed with me on that too i said they bottled that game last night..which they did!!
Liverpool are in a transition period believe it or not, new squad, new players and new tactics, not bad winning a trophy and in the final of another in your first season...more than Purple Nose did!! It's all ahead of yous anyway because Purple Nose will be retiring soon and yous will be going through the same..but it's ok..Solksjaar is the man instead or Guardiola..isn't that right??
Wat odds would I get on David motes taking over from fergie?

Yeah I know. The transition period just seems to be taking a really long time. Like 20 years

No it's just the others have been failures as far as the league is concerned, just have to keep trying though, yous have been blessed with one of the best managers in the world for too long but the wheels are starting to come off...only a matter of time

But see the million doller question is will the wheeles come off fully or will good calibre of player be brought in by a good calibre of manager and things go in an upward spiral

Moyes would be a outsider choice in my view. He is a excellent manager given what he has achieved with Everton. I can see him leaving Everton after next sesson to bigger and better things.
DUBLINGUY1973: You're a United fan and you're conceding the league already??
Okay we're up against it but I wouldn't give up until its mathematically impossible for us to win the league. I think Fergie got his tactics and formation right as I said but he got his team selection wrong.
He set out to frustrate City and nick a goal, not lose There's a big difference.
I think Valencia should have started but I think if Welbeck had started and we had played 4-4-2 then we could have lost by more than one goal. By the way you are talking, anyone would think City beat us 10-0 not 1-0. We kept them at bay for long periods of the game and only for a silly schoolboy mistake by Smalling, we might have got a point.
WHY THE EYES??? He set of for a draw! I am a realist and that team he picked and packed midfield with was set of for a draw! Simple!!!!
And I am a realist. City played us off the park. They will have no trouble against Newcastle and QPR.
City could have beaten us by far more if they had take there chances. We played 90 minutes of football and did not create one clear chance! If you think thats playing well and acceptable then you are a different kind of United fan than most I know.
Team was wrong, tatics were wrong and formation was wrong! It was all wrong becaues we set out for a draw and not a win. The League is over, simple. But number 20 will come soon.
