One of my favourite things to do.banana And now I have a camper trailer, which I am busting to test out. Camping, fishing, drinking, relaxing in the water, beautiful parks. I'm not one for flash places to stay, rather be in the nature of things. yay

Favourite way of seeing things. Last count I had 6 tents, 5, sleeping bags, 3 swags, 2 fridges, 2 eskies and all the accessories that I need. Open fire is best for cooking although some places don't like it so use the gas. And I don't need a trailer

Good on you Kristia banana Great to see sisters doing it for themselves!!!!

I have often wished I had a camper trailer myself but when I looked into it the smallest one I could get was just over the limit of weight I can tow with my little car and thats unpacked. moping

Can't afford a bigger car AND a camper trailer just now.

I hope you have some wonderful adventures in yours. applause

well, one that you pull out, and set up. hahah, i don't know , there are so many different types. It was 2nd hand, but great cond. It has a queen bed, a kitchen that comes out of the tail gate of the trailer. They put in a lot of extras, 6yr old, I put it up and pulled it down myself. head banger

A poptop would be good for you, not much setting up. I just love the peace and quiet,( not always), of camping. Last time we went we, friends and kids, sat relaxing in a crystal clear stream, drinking, Heaven.

hi lillee, I've just got a new car to tow it, refinanced, then my darling mum bought the camper, it was $2300, which was a bargain. Yes I love to camp and quite capable of doing myself, who says you need a man.laugh

Hi Kristia
I love camping and do it a bit along with the fishing and drinking (not neccessarily in that order rolling on the floor laughing ). I don't have a camper trailer though. Mine is the simple tent and sleeping bags. Love to go swimming. Open fire is a must. Nothing better. I will be camping the first weekend of Dec next. It is cod opening and I am in a fishing comp. Can't wait. Weather should be just brilliant. cheers hug

Hi Martia. Yeah, I can do that too. I can do either or. To be honest, I just had my first real stay in a flash motel room on the weekend. Loved it but alot to pay when you're not in the room for very long. I would stay somewhere nice if I went away to an island or something but anywhere in Australia I am more likely to camp. grin We'll see. Am hoping to go to Darwin at some stage and don't know if I'm camping or not yet.

Its been nearly two years since my last trip camping/fishing. We parked up on the beach launched the boats then set the tents up next two the cars and boats within 10 metres from the water, and I caught the biggest fish! After much ribbing from my brother-in-law! His boat caught six fish the size I would normally throw back and try for in a year or two, but as his son was cleaning the fish, I pulled up in my boat handed my nephew a golden travally 49 cm long, and said. Now that you have a bit off practise cleaning fish, you can now clean one off mine! I love camping and fishing, more the quiet days and nights, watching the sun go down with the sky’s changing colour, a camp fire on the beach or a bbq if no open fires allowed, so long as the drinks are cold and the food hot I can cope!
professor cheers

Such excitement to catch a nice fish. I have caught travali before and are such fighters to get them in.
As you know bait is quite expensive for what it is, here is an idea I use and catch some nice fish. sliced chicken breasts(bait size) rolled in salt and then put in the freezer. It doesn't actually go rock hard so your ready to fish.
