gold71: Good riddance!

From your profile - "Ambitious intelligent and CARING guy" confused

Would you like to re-phrase that? How about - Outspoken, sub-human, totally lacking in compassion, massive ego ..... doh

It is a fact that we are all different, think differently, love differently - but to say what you said about someone who gave a lot of pleasure to a lot of people (whether you liked her or not) is a very low act.

That's one of the good things of a Forum on these sites, you can tell a lot more about a person than the BS they put in their profiles - like "Ambitious, Intelligent confused and caring thumbs down"

I go along with curly - I won't waste a second of my time communicating with you on this forum, sure that won't make you loose any sleep at night but I don't associate with anyone on a forum that I wouldn't want to speak to in 'real' life.

Oh and finally tongue tongue tongue

From your profile - "Ambitious intelligent and CARING guy" And something about "above average intelligence."

My brother spent a bit of time at New South Wales University and the best description of the students was "educated idiots." Seems you have a Masters in that field. And going for your Doctorate.

And my brother wasn't studying. He was one of the brickies trying to make access easier for the students. Day after day they would walk through the job climbing the stairs while they were trying to build them.

Like Snags, I don't watch tv or listen to the radio much. I am devastated that someone who brought so much entertainment and enjoyment to so many of us Aussies is no longer with us at such a young age.

snagsmoore: Way to stir the pot there, Silver. Must be awesome preying on the feelings of others, make you feel like a man does it?

You could have a debate on any topic in here but you choose to attempt to belittle people on an emotional level, takes a great deal of intelligence to do that doesn't it?

I wasn't her biggest fan, nor am I yours, but when you die I won't be dancing a jig on your grave just because I can.

Glatlol: I have no idea what "boganism" is, had never heard of Chrissy Amphlett (not Hynde, jeez you cant even be bothered getting the name of the person oyu are insulting correct), before this thread and tbh when I looked her up I didnt like the music at all. But that has nothing to do with my revulsion at your comments, as a woman going through treatment for breast cancer I know what her last few months may have been like and how damn tough it is to get through each day and I have the utmost respect for anyone who has had to battle this horrendous disease.

Glatiol a bogan is the equivalent of a pommie 'chav' I think? Or another word might be 'feral'??

Sorry to hear of your health concerns. Wish you all the best in your fight. teddybear bouquet

Newlife08: Wouldn't normally comment on anyone's spelling or grammar - but if you described yourself as 'intelligent' I guess that doesn't mean you can spell anyway?

LiLee: How sad to hear Chrissy passed away today from breast cancer. She was an icon of my youth and loved the Divinyls music. Thoughts and sympathy to her family and friends. She was way too young.

I saw her live once, total entertainer! She really worked the crowed,

There is a party going on somewhere now she is there!

She made her mark in life and she will not be forgotten soon?

Glatiol, I think "Numpty" would be enough close to a UK expression.

Was at the ANZAC Day march yesterday with a few Pommes and they were talking about a few of the older shows now broadcasting on the Pay TV channels and how irrelevant they are today and not so funny now.

Yeah, "Numpty" is a Scottish expression but you do know what I mean.

Hey Chrissy, playing your music today .. tribute to you wine

This is my favourite song of yours, the lyrics strike such a chord with me..

Back to the Wall

We are living in desperate times
These are desperate times my dear
There's no way out of here
There's no way out my dear
I've been holding back all my tears
Just so the pressure don't show
Like a time bomb ticking away
I might blow up some day

Don't push don't shove
Better watch what you do
When my back's to the wall
I might do anything at all
When my back's to the wall
I might take any chance at all
When my back's to the wall
I might do anything

You've got the upper hand
Well I've got nothing to lose
When I'm trapped in a corner like this
I might light a fuse

What can I say, told ya you sang the songs of my life lol thumbs up

One of the guys I work with (known him for 7 years now in 2 different workplaces) has just spent the last 3 weeks in Sarawak with his very ill father. Not much they can do until they can diagnose what is causing all the pain. He got back to Aust on Friday but on the phone every day to his family.

We talked a little bit yesterday about his father and this morning more when I got to work he was on his mobile talking to his sister - it was in Chinese so I didn't understand it. But I could see by his expression it wasn't good. We had a longish chat about things.

Upshot was that he did what he could when he was there but feels hopeless because he can't do anything while here even though he felt he couldn't do anything while over there. And his work is piling up in the meantime. I did say that it was easier for me when in a similar situation as I only had an overnight drive when I had to do it.

5 minutes later when going by, someone had a radio on playing "We got to get out of this place" and I told him that was a song he should really listen to. He had never heard it before.

But it was good to see him smile.thumbs up

thumbs up thumbs up I agree with you Glatlol, and I am glad you have spoken up.
The latest statistics is 1 in every 7 women have breast cancer. It takes a lot of courage to get through the treatment. It takes a great deal of time to get through the treatment----up to 9 months. There is medication for the next 5 years. And there is always a fear that it may come back. It is a frightening experience. I feel sorry for women who die. I'm glad there are many survivors and I am one of them.

I lost my very dear friend in 2009 from breast cancer she did have the mammogram but it didn't detect the lump and a couple of months later she noticed the lump herself and by that time it had turned to aggressive cancer she fought it for 5 years sad flower sad she was only 57 way too young sad flower
